  • Often the only woman in the boardroom, filmmaker and transmedia expert Nicole Sorochan's latest project, AmplifyHER, explores the feminine and what it has to offer the world - and also helped her to discover old wounds and turn them into strengths.
An expert filmmaker and multi-channel conversationalist, Nicole Sorochan leads One Net Labs, a new interactive division that builds transmedia products for the entertainment industry. Her passion project, a transmedia experiment called Hipsterbait.com, recently took 1st place and 10K in funding at the prestigious international Merging Media Conference.

she preaches a simple concept that few women incorporate into their lives. Women embracing and exploring the feminine and the advantages of it.

This discussion made me think of the book by Dr. Erika Holiday Mean Girls, Meaner Women, which thoroughly explains the problem of woman-on-woman bullying and how to move past it where women support each other, work together.
Nicole Sorochan's AmplifyHer work is doing a great thing for women and for society.

Success is universal and genderless, women all around me including myself are interested in reclaiming and expressing our power in a feminine way, true to ourselves, supporting eachother; authentic power and expression. There is no age limit on ignorance and hurtful competition among women; it is happening across the board. Women will lead together. It is happening. I am grateful.

      "reclaiming your power", eh?
      What power?
      When was this power lost?
      That's a lot to unpack

I do Believe that we women neglect our feminine "weak" traits in differents ways and we need to embrace our unique traits for being more happy and complete .

They're not weak, they're just different. The problem today is that when we say "Be more tolerant of me" what we really mean is "Be more like me". When it comes to our differences, we need to stop erasing and start embracing. Frankly, the work environment she described would not work for me. I find it hard to understand the mode of thinking she described, but I'm not sure I'm meant to. I'm not like that, and I don't need to be more like that to appreciate it.

Older women know/ learn this - all the women in this collaboration were youngish ... there still needs to be more mentoring , from the mother, the crone, elders - many western cultures are ageist and young women are missing out from generations of their ancestors who not only pass on the wounds but also wisdom. We all benefit from collaboration where the goal is greater than ourselves - then ego and competition evaporate. There are many instances where women do come together in mutual support.

the day women will heal that one and come together not only horizontally but vertically with recovery of mentoring relationships from the youngest to the oldest, that will create the conditions for a true democracy to arise where a council of grandmothers , true elders will have the final say on any political decisions. For this to occur women will need to recover their connection with their fundamental mother: Nature. Men will be kept in check in a loving way from going crazy and destructive of both women and nature.Foraging cultures deeply connected to wild nature consider women as more powerful than men.

+Jean-Claude Catry - Just a reminder. We of either gender have great power. No comparisons, just different powers, to be honored.
About the title of this video that mentions "wounds". When spiritual enlightenment permanently transformed me, I witnessed and live how no "wounds" exist. This "Talk" is part of perpetuating the idea that "wounds" and "differences in the masculine and the feminine" should be the focus.

Why did 'Blontron' blow her mind away. It seems she never explains that and leaves me listening for an answer that is never clear. I looped back dozens of times to try to follow her story, but the path lost me here or somewhere. I finally am quiting and moving on to other videos dissapointed at not understanding the path of her narrative.

Female competition cannot be unlearned because it is a primal urge. Male competition pales in comparison. The judging is part of the urge because competition when not done with the self as "for the self" is about comparison and women far more than men make comparisons. I would much rather manage men than women because of this.
