I love Blackmoore! 😂 Especially the bird metaphors throughout 😂! It’s a bit cheesy, agree, but I enjoy friends to love. I put Before After on hold, thanks, my kids and I will love it! So glad to see you and baby! 🩷
It was light and sweet and that's needed in reading often for me, so I hope to pick up Edenbrooke at some point and have a similar reading experience. I hope you'll enjoy that graphic novel!
I’ve been following and watching your videos for at least a year and wanting to comment but not sure where to jump in - today is the day! Welcome to the world baby Finneas! You are beautiful! ❤
Hi Judi! Thanks for being willing to comment and say hi. Sorry it has taken me this long to respond. Finneas is taking up 99% of my time at the moment. But I so appreciate you watching and being part of this community.
The Giver of Stars shall now be known as The Giver of Contractions… So glad you have a healthy baby boy! Sad the new Katherine Center novel didn’t work - I haven’t been able to get excited about it, even though I have enjoyed most of her other books 🤷🏻♀️
I found Blackmoore to be quite lovely and not cheesy at all. That and the other book by that author are two of my favorite Regency romance novels. Congratulations on the baby! He's so precious!
I have to read Giver of Stars. I adored Cutting For Stone but I also like medical tropes and medical student memoirs. What a bonus to see baby Finneas!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I think it was mostly a timing thing for me! Being pregnant and reading about tough medical content just didn't mix well, haha.
great reading month for you! The Gilded Hour by Sara Donati consumed most of the month of September for me ... I need to move Giver of the Stars up on my TBR. Thanks for introducing Finneas to us - he's precious, enjoy this new way of life! congrats!! Jacqueline 😊🧡🎃 👶💙
I enjoyed the book - I like this author and thoroughly enjoyed the 'Into the Wilderness' series. I have book 2 but have not picked it up right away - book 1 being so long. I would love to send my copy on to you if you would like to share your address? let me know. I love to pass on my books to those that have it on their "TBR". :) Jacqueline @@GloriaZThompson
You are too sweet! That's so kind. Do you have an email or are on Instagram? I can share my address there, privately since I don't have a PO Box. @@JacquelineCaron
Congrats! He is adorable! I had the exact same thoughts about the ballad of songbirds. The “singing” and the airy way the narrator did some of the girls’ voices bothered me so much! 😂
Hello little man! 🤍🤍🤍🤍Thank goodness I’m not the only person who doesn’t get the Morrigan Crow Hype. I actually dnf’d it and am bamboozled about the amount of love it gets when there are so many better middle grade books and series out there! You are literally the only other booktuber I’ve seen with that opinion in all the time I’ve been on booktube! 😂
Glad you enjoyed Giver of the Stars and how fun to be finishing it while you are going into labor.. It will be interesting to see what I will be reading when this little lady makes her entrance! Finn is so sweet!
Thanks Lindsay! 💕 I was only guessing that you were pregnant based on you reading Mama's Natural Guide on Goodreads. Hoping everything is going well during this pregnancy -- when are you due?
Congratulations on your new baby boy! He’s so beautiful ❤. Im very impressed you’re up and filming 2 weeks after giving birth! I also gasped out loud at your rating for Hello Stranger lol. I loved that one!
Thank you! It was nice to put on a little makeup and feel "normal" for like an hour, haha. I think I'm in the minority with Hello Stranger, most love it! I'm still eager to try more Katherine Center books though.
Precious, precious baby boy - so cute! Congrats to you and your husband. I agree with you on Nevermoor - it was over-hyped for me. I too agreed not to continue with the series. The Giver of Stars is the only Jojo Moyes book I've read and I really liked it. I haven't read the Troublesome book, nor do I feel the urge to read another pack library book.
Thank you so much! It's such a special time.💕 Glad I'm not the only one who didn't love Nevermoor. But I'm still hoping to find other middle grade fantasy that I do love. Fingers crossed Keeper of the Lost Cities or Amari and the Night Brothers works for me.
Your son is such a cutie. Congratulations to you and your husband. I read The Giver of Stars and liked it a lot and also read The Trials of Morrigan Crow, which I didn't really care for, people kept saying it was like Harry Potter, to an extent, but Harry Potter's story is much better and I finished all 7 books, this Morrigan Crow, have no desire to continue.
Thank you! I'm hoping to find another middle grade fantasy that I will love and want to read more of. I'm hoping Keeper of the Lost Cities or Amari and the Night Brothers are wins for me.
I give Fin a thousand stars and hearts! Yours is the first review I’ve heard of Katherine Center’s face blindness book. Sigh…I bought it. I will have to read it this winter I guess. The Before After book is fascinating. Thanks for sharing.
So precious! I had the opposite reaction to the two Katherine Center books. I didn’t care that much for The Bodyguard and saw the twist coming. I really liked Hello Stranger and didn’t see the twist at all. But I should have! I read Cutting for Stone years ago and liked it but it was during my “read bestsellers” phase. I wouldn’t necessarily stick with it now.
I feel like that's the general consensus with Katherine Center books. Different ones work for different people. I'm still interested in trying a lot more of her backlist!
I almost read Cutting For Stone recently because it’s been on my shelf forever. I have several Katherine Center books too but I won’t be starting with Hello Stranger. Most importantly - what a sweetheart!!!! He’s going to be a booktuber. I can tell already. Congratulations to you and your husband. 😊💙
Congratulations on your baby! He is so cute! Your opinion on "Cutting for Stone" is so interesting for me; I haven't read it, but it's been on my tbr forever and so many people I know have loved it. I wouldn't have been able to get past the brutal birth scene if I read it while pregnant, though, lol. I had to give up on "A Thousand Splendid Suns" for similar reasons.
Thank you! I'm definitely in the minority with Cutting for Stone so it could have just been a timing thing. I'm also iffy with coming-of-age stories, but that's just me. Good to know about Thousand Splendid Suns, that's a Hosseini that I want to read and have on my shelves, but will be mindful of the content and the headspace I need to be in for that.
I'll be definitely reading some Katherine Center books next year, I'll be planning a whole video around it since I've never read her books before. I did not like Songbirds and Snakes.
He's such a cutie! I'm so glad I'm not the only one out there who did not like Hello Stranger! Saddie just rubbed me in all the wrong ways! Some things were just...
I agree with the Morrigan Crow book, I had heard so many readers raving about it. Little bay is beautiful.
What a beautiful and adorable baby ❤❤❤
Well done! Congrats to you and your family. 💕
He is precious!!! ❤
Fresh from heaven…he is adorable
Aw he’s the sweetest! Congratulations! I’m glad you were able to read some good books in the mix 😊
Congratulations on your beautiful baby!!
Your son is so precious! What a cutie!

Hi Finneas! So glad to see you both doing well.
Awww he is so handsome! A great mix of you and your husband❤. Blessings to your family😊

He is just the cutest!!!

Before After is a cool idea for a book. Aw, cute baby! Congratulations!
It was a fun, random library find in the middle grade graphic novel section. Love when that happens!
Congratulations!! 💙👶💙

LOL, that's funny! 😂 And somewhat true.
SO PRECIOUS SISTER❤❤❤SO HAPPY FOR YALL

I hope to still read Edenbrooke and hopefully enjoy it! And thank you!
God bless! What a beautiful baby. So wonderful.
Thank you!
Congrats!!! He is so cute!

Oh I love the rainbow shelf ..all colors grouped ❤
Thank you! I actually recently changed it all up and not sure how I feel about it. Video coming soon about that.
Phineas is so cute!! Congrats 🥰
Thank you!
He is so precious! Thank you for letting us see him.
He’s so gorgeous, well done mummy! These first days with your newborn are so precious and don’t newborns smell so good?! Lots of love to you all xxx
Thank you! 💕 Oh he smells heavenly! When I get a whiff of the top of his sweet little head, it's just the best.
What an adorable baby, congratulations 🎉
Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed The Giver of Stars! Oh my goodness Finneas is so precious 😍🥰🥰🥰🥰
Congratulations, Finneas is beautiful. My granddaughter Lexie was born on the 29th of September.
Oh wow, one day apart! Congrats to you and your family as well. 💕

Thank you Tammy! And yes, such a bad narration in my opinion. Totally pulled me out of the story. Have you watched the movie yet?
Congratulations!❤

The best feeling when you discover "I'm not the only one!" Yes, I don't get the hype at all...
Thank you for this!
I was thinking I missed something for my blah feeling after reading Nevermoor.
You are not alone in your thoughts.❤
Glad I'm not the only one who didn't love Nevermoor!

@@GloriaZThompson I am due on January 31st but I won't go past the 24th due to some complications I had w/ Sam and my age 😛
Exciting! Hoping everything will be smooth sailing the remainder of the pregnancy and birth 💕🙏@@bytesofmemory

I'm currently listening to the audiobook of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and I agree with your rating.
It seems to be the consensus from most that it wasn’t an amazing book. I haven’t heard of too many that love it as much as the original trilogy.
Thank you, Jolene 💕 Haha, that's cute! Yes, fingers crossed he's a big book lover and reader like his mama!

I so agree about Hello Stranger
I have read all others and so loved them but DNF this one
Glad I’m not the only one that didn’t get along with it!
Congrats, mama! I also only read the first Nevermoor book.
Thank you! How did you like Nevermoor?
It was okay. I didn't like it enough to continue with the series. You aren't alone!@@GloriaZThompson
Thank you for introducing us to Finneas💕 He is a cutie 🥰
You got a good amount of reading in! What a blessing.

So true, I have no problems purging books.
