In eastern europe we have full language of lights from thank you to caution ahead accident (high beam flashing). mutual understanding is very important on the road. it would be great if all road users were polite to each other, from pedestrians to drivers
Someone did this the other day after merging and I didn't understand what they meant. I thought something went wrong in their car or something because..... hazard lights.. Now I know. Wish I could go back and say "you're welcome"
@@papalaplace recently i cut someone off accidentally when i realized i made the wrong turn and needed to go a bit further. the car at the back horned at me and i put the hazard lights on to say woops sorry. then the car flashed the lights on me. i thought he was trying to say "yeh F off" but then i realized oh wait maybe hes trying to say 'its ok' lol
Last week, I saw I car w/o the headlights on. coming the other way I flashed my brights several times and he turned his headlights on and gave me a quick honk. I replied with two quick honks. That's how it should be done! When a semi passes you, turn your headlights off and on (don't use the brights)! You'll get a signal from the driver with his trailer lights. Common courtesy...

Not Romanians.
On the Autobahn, flashing your lights behind someone driving less than 200kmh, means get away and make the linke Spur frei.

Here in Ukraine blinking your beam lights once after the hazard lights gesture actually means « You’re welcome »

Dude held up traffic. If I was behind the stopped driver, I'd be a human hair's distance behind him, blowing my horn nonstop.
And if it was me driving and you honking, You’d be sat there until you stopped honking. Have some patience.

Why do they blink hazzard lights. I did not see any emergency there
It’s called Thank You Hazard, blinking your hazard lights means thank you.
@@chickdarren how do you respond “youre welcome”?
