That would be something interesting to see. That Sasuke or someone shows her the Uchiha's real history (Starting with Itachi's massacre) and once she saw it all, see what she thinks of everything overall and what would that mean to her dream of becoming Hokage.

He could have talked more with the hokage to give them a new position to live in, closer to the hokages office with an official apology given to fugaku who could talk to the other uchiha to give up the plan. All that hate would turn into love over time. Because the uchiha received no love, no recgonition and were openly mocked and distrusted by the village and especially danzo. Imagine that, the once elite uchiha clan with their mighty sharingan said to rival the senju and the hyuga shunned and mocked. Their pride blinded them and fuelled their rage. The fact that they were this isolated they could freely plan a coup without anyone hearing it is heartbreaking. Or better yet, an open invitation to the uchiha to train a worthy successor as hokage, one who could receive training from the hokage himself. Itachi, perhaps? The way Itachi handled that Uchiha massacre was stupid as fuck. Not just him,but people praise him like he is a god or that he is the best hero. I'm glad Itachi realized his mistake in the end and helped the World as a Reanimation Shinobi.
To me he did the literal worst possible thing to do in that scenario. If the coup had happened, things would have turned out to be a lot worse for Uchihas, even if the great ninja war hadn't broken out. e.g Many would have died in the coup, some would have been imprisoned for life, and the rest would have to live with the tag of traitors(its worst than dying for them). We would have had more Sasukes in the village. And this is the best case where the war is not yet broken out.

It's not just us who praised him, but even the 1st Kage, the founder of the first village, Hashirama himself praised him too. Uchihas were going to die anyway. What do you think would have happened in a war or a coup? easily more people would have been dead, even if There was no Great Ninja War.
Honestly, I hate Danzo so much, he never trusted anyone and tried to become Hokage at any cost. It's amazing how Itachi could work under Danzo, even though he caused the death of his best friend, Shisui. Itachi truly is a kind child.

Once you get older enough to see and understand how the REAL World works, you realize how well written are Itachi and Danzo as characters, the same with Shikamaru...just because of few characters I really finished this anime and Itachi is THE MAN... The story with him or even rock lee would be 100 times better than with the MCs.
My personal opinion ,Itachi kills his Clan maybe because of the power of the Sharingan ,the more Uchihas posses the power of the sharingan ,the more death would be , because in order to get more powerful Uchihas must take another Uchihas eyes to awaken susano and genjutsu. If Itachi would be revealing the truth to Sasuke before he is killed then Sasuke would do anything in his way to make Itachi accepted and if Itachi is accepted back then the clan's name would become black. 6 people that had the saddest stories 1. naruto - the villagers saw him as a outcast and was a lonely orphan boy. 2. sasuke - his whole clan was massacred including his parents and had to kill his brother but then PSYCHE!!! he was good and that was one of his regrets and had to live alone. 3. kakashi - lost his father, sensei, lost obito and had to forcefully kill rin 4. nagato - he was a orphan and then lost his best friend yahiko 5. itachi - had to KILL his PARENTS to save the village ( that's harsh) 6. Gaara - didn’t get his father’s love and the whole village was scared of him obito - lost his teenage love and then cry about it the whole series and also becomes a VILLIAN
Thanks to Kabuto reanimating Itachi and Shisui's eye, Sasuke found the answer he was looking for which set his hatred to love and now wished to become the Hokage which Itachi dreamed off which he succeded, if Itachi didn't show Sasuke the truth i'm sure he will hold the Hatred longer.

I think most people are missing the point of this scene/Itachi's true character ambitions plot twist. Itachi does not suddenly become a good guy because of this. He was and still is a serial killer who was manipulated into committing mass genocide on his whole clan. His characters morality is meant to be complex, not reduced to being evil, and then suddenly tragic. He even says that he regrets having been used so easily and not making better decisions. Furthermore, the writing is awesome. We are very cleverly shown this scene from Sasuke's perspective. Through Sasuke's eyes, Itachi's actions have been explained and his perceived morality has done a sudden 180. That alone is enough for, as a scene shown from his POV, to utilise everything in the scene to show Itachi as being an evil character turned good. He is not. Like I said earlier, the morality of Itachi is a complex subject and he is neither good nor bad. If you want my opinion, he is more loyal to his life as a soldier than as a friend, a son, a brother, a man who has a family, or even to his village. He finishes the mission, sometimes completing it on his own terms, but leaving the moral consequences majoritively to those who backed him into that corner in the first place.

Obviously, Itachi didn't make the wisest decision in slaughtering his entire clan. That whole thing with the Uchiha clan was *NOT* more hopeless than Naruto having to go up against an actual Tailed Beast as a Genin. Shisui still had one eye, Fugaku was obviously not happy to just slaughter the Leaf, and Hiruzen was also down to talk. They had wiggle room, albeit very little, and they should've made an effort before resorting to small scale genocide. At the end of the day, though, I think we have to remember that our guy Itachi was barely old enough to get a driver's permit back when all this was going down. He was legit a high schooler, probably never even had a sip of alcohol, didn't even get to make it official with Izumi yet, and all of the sudden, he was faced with imminent mass casualties and the permanent disgrace of his lineage. Countless people have attempted suicide for shit like a breakup or GPA at this age, so Itachi taking a panicked initiative is pretty human and understandable.
While Fugaku was willing to talk at least some of the Clan wanted to fight. Also Danzou was clearly ready to fight. So whatever solution may would have been possible it has no chance to work if either Danzou or some Uchia members dont bye into it and attack.
That part just showed more depth why Uchiha wish Fugaku to lead the coup. And if the clan had knew he possessed a Mangekyou Sharingan, they would hasten their plan much sooner, because with those eyes, he could have controlled Kyubi inside Naruto to favor the war to the Uchiha's side. He was only trying his best to postpone the inevitable coup

Simply put, to Itachi, lives of all his clan members aren't comparable to Sasuke. So he betrayed his clan for Sasuke. His clan didn't amount to anything in his heart. Sasuke might have survived but he killed all the clan members.

What I don't understand is why Itachi continued to prod Sasuke on even after leaving. Why he continued the whole facade when running into him at the hotel, then later on in shipp when they were about to battle. The whole manic speech about taking Sasuke's eyes for eternal MS. Why go that far? The incident at the hotel really was the downward spiral for Sasuke but it could've totally been avoided without the Tsukuyomi. The threat of the Coup was already elimated and Sasuke posed no threat to the village. Still Itachi continued the facade.
He didnt want sasuke knowing the truth. He didnt want anyone knowing the truth. He wanted sasuke to think he was a villain who killed the clan and lived so sasuke could avenge the clan/restoring uchiha name. Well, to be honest, Sasuke was clearly asking for death through his actions subconsciously, that's how miserable his life was. Uchiha clan was already distanced enough, we would have had more Sasukes but instead, Itachi bloodied his hands. and also, it's the village where Danzo is in charge of the foundation(He doesn't like Uchihas much) So these kids were going to die anyway, experimented upon at worse.

Perfect opportunity for other nations to infiltrate while they’re weak, causing for strong ninja in the leaf to die, less protection in the land of fire, and eventually being overrules by any other nation willing to take over. If he died with his family, then sasuke would’ve been killed, and the whole leaf would’ve been infiltrated in the end. Therefore, the leaf loses either way. However with itachis decision, at least Itachi knows his brother is alive and safe, as well as innocent people from the village don’t have to be a potential subject of war.
Higherups were responsible for the position Uchihas were in, not the village. And the coup would have turned out to be a lot worse for the Uchiha. Survivors would have been labelled traitors, and Danzo and the loyal foundation would have ensured they won't survive for much longer or get experimented upon at worse. rest of the survivors would have plotted another attack out of anguish since now they have more reasons than before to do so.

After the nine tails attack the leaf then turned around THE NEXT DAY and blamed them for the attack then without explanation RIPPED them from their homes and moved them to the edges of the village. This OBVIOUSLY infuriated the Uchihas because they felt betrayed and were being oppressed by the leaf. Many people always look at itachi and his mental issues when killing his family but never really analyze WHY the coup happened in the first place. Let's talk itachi 🧐=🤡 He was a great Shinobi and a very book smart character equal to that of the hokage ( tho he doesn't have the wisdom of a hokage) But itachi was very mentally troubled and honestly if "Better Help" existed in the Naruto verse he'd be the number 1 subscriber. And he decided to listen to DANZO instead of asking and receiving guidance from the hokage and decided to kill his family because they would cause trouble for the leaf if they rebelled. He went to Obito and begged Obito to just kill his family but leave the leaf alone then partnered with him to execute the massacre. And slaughtered his entire clan that night except Sasuke. Afterwards loving brother itachi made Sasuke watch him kill his mom and dad as well as everyone else for TWENTY FOUR HOURS (TWICE). THEN told him to kill his friend to gain some power. Allat so Sasuke can come back and kill itachi like some Suicide on Lay-a-way. Nevermind poor Sasuke and his mental anguish this caused. B-But he had no choice 🤡🧢 Itachi had SEVERAL choices he could have done. 1.) He could have equally sided with his family and told them that everything would be ok and told them what's ACTUALLY going on instead of leaving the poor Uchihas to speculate. 2.) Use the kotoamatsukami on either fugaku, or the hokage to receive better treatment. 3.) If he had to kill someone why not all the combatants? Kishimoto wanted to retcon itachi due to mass popularity, so he made a story on why he did what he did but it was terrible. His parents on their death bed were praising itachi was the cringest thing I ever heard in all of anime. Like why are you praising itachi for killing his entire family due to them wanting to stop being oppressed? And fugaku should be like why are you attacking your mother??? She's not a fighter. Like imagine being on your hands and knees with your wife as YOUR SON is getting ready to decapitate you both all because of a "what if hypothetical war" and the fact that you DARE buck back against the leaf....then you praise him " your such a kind boy" 💀💀💀. Bruh the story is trash. And if it WASN'T a retcon like most fans say then that just proves kishimoto must have been high that day. I'll stop here because itachi is a fan favorite and he would be defended to the death with made up senarios and wacky explanations but he was terrible. 10/10 design and powers -69/10 in story.
What i don't understand is why Itachi had to kill all the children as well, but leave Sasuke alive, saying that only he didn't know any better, he killed dozens of small children no older than Sasuke, and has the nerve to say something so outlandish
He knew Sasuke would survive this, and all he would need is a purpose(also, his life was worth more than the village to him). Moreover, it's not like Danzo would have liked and accepted the idea of Uchiha children surviving. Danzo and his loyal foundation would have ensured that these miserable, sad lives and potential traitors would not live much longer, or they would get experimented upon at worse. To be honest, I would have chosen death than be in Sasuke's shoes.

Tobirama created The Konoha Military police force for the Uchiha to run so that the trust could be build between them and Uchiha. But it didn’t turn out to be the right way in the long run. Uchiha planned a coup to annihilate the entire village.Here comes the main role of Itachi.Uchiha wanted Itachi to act as their spy. But Itachi was against this coup and so he acted as double agent ,providing information on Uchiha to the konoha. The third Hokage at that time wanted to resolve this situation peacefully just like Itachi wanted it to be resolved.But there were people in konoha who were entirely against Uchiha and never trust them ,Danzo(the sixth Hokage) was one of them and it was originally his idea of annihilation of the whole Uchiha clan but still third Hokage kept on resisting to see where it was going. However the things turned out the other way as you would have seen that Danzo is known as “the darkness of the Shinobi” and he gave Itachi two choices to die along with the entire Uchiha clan (konoha was one step ahead of Uchiha and they planned a coup to annihilate Uchiha beforehand) or assassinate the entire Uchiha clan in exchange of his little brother’s life, you know Sasuke right? He could have talked more with the hokage to give them a new position to live in, closer to the hokages office with an official apology given to fugaku who could talk to the other uchiha to give up the plan. Imagine that, the once elite uchiha clan with their mighty sharingan said to rival the senju and the hyuga shunned and mocked. Their pride blinded them and fuelled their rage. The fact that they were this isolated they could freely plan a coup without anyone hearing it is heartbreaking. Or better yet, an open invitation to the uchiha to train a worthy successor as hokage, one who could receive training from the hokage himself. Itachi, perhaps? Killing Danzo was the most accurate revenge for Itachi and the Uchiha
6 people that had the saddest stories
1. naruto - the villagers saw him as a outcast and was a lonely orphan boy.
2. sasuke - his whole clan was massacred including his parents and had to kill his brother but then PSYCHE!!! he was good and that was one of his regrets and had to live alone.
3. kakashi - lost his father, sensei, lost obito and had to forcefully kill rin
4. nagato - he was a orphan and then lost his best friend yahiko

I think most people are missing the point of this scene/Itachi's true character ambitions plot twist. Itachi does not suddenly become a good guy because of this. He was and still is a serial killer who was manipulated into committing mass genocide on his whole clan. His characters morality is meant to be complex, not reduced to being evil, and then suddenly tragic. He even says that he regrets having been used so easily and not making better decisions.
Furthermore, the writing is awesome. We are very cleverly shown this scene from Sasuke's perspective. Through Sasuke's eyes, Itachi's actions have been explained and his perceived morality has done a sudden 180. That alone is enough for, as a scene shown from his POV, to utilise everything in the scene to show Itachi as being an evil character turned good. He is not. Like I said earlier, the morality of Itachi is a complex subject and he is neither good nor bad.
If you want my opinion, he is more loyal to his life as a soldier than as a friend, a son, a brother, a man who has a family, or even to his village. He finishes the mission, sometimes completing it on his own terms, but leaving the moral consequences majoritively to those who backed him into that corner in the first place.

Obviously, Itachi didn't make the wisest decision in slaughtering his entire clan. That whole thing with the Uchiha clan was *NOT* more hopeless than Naruto having to go up against an actual Tailed Beast as a Genin. Shisui still had one eye, Fugaku was obviously not happy to just slaughter the Leaf, and Hiruzen was also down to talk. They had wiggle room, albeit very little, and they should've made an effort before resorting to small scale genocide.
At the end of the day, though, I think we have to remember that our guy Itachi was barely old enough to get a driver's permit back when all this was going down. He was legit a high schooler, probably never even had a sip of alcohol, didn't even get to make it official with Izumi yet, and all of the sudden, he was faced with imminent mass casualties and the permanent disgrace of his lineage. Countless people have attempted suicide for shit like a breakup or GPA at this age, so Itachi taking a panicked initiative is pretty human and understandable.
While Fugaku was willing to talk at least some of the Clan wanted to fight.
Also Danzou was clearly ready to fight.
So whatever solution may would have been possible it has no chance to work if either Danzou or some Uchia members dont bye into it and attack.
And it that case the entire village probably get destroyed because other Nation take advantage of Konoha been weakend by an zivil war.
There was nothing Fugaku could do. The Uchiha were dead set on rebelling. The person who didn't do enough was Hiruzen

And if the clan had knew he possessed a Mangekyou Sharingan, they would hasten their plan much sooner, because with those eyes, he could have controlled Kyubi inside Naruto to favor the war to the Uchiha's side. He was only trying his best to postpone the inevitable coup

There was no other way, and all of them, even Fugaku, knew it. If the coup had happened, things would have turned out to be a lot worse for Uchihas, even if the great ninja war hadn't broken out.

Many would have died in the coup, some would have been imprisoned, and the rest would have to live with the tag of traitors. We would have had more Sasukes in the village. And this is the best case where the war is not yet broken out.

What I don't understand is why Itachi continued to prod Sasuke on even after leaving. Why he continued the whole facade when running into him at the hotel, then later on in shipp when they were about to battle. The whole manic speech about taking Sasuke's eyes for eternal MS. Why go that far?
The incident at the hotel really was the downward spiral for Sasuke but it could've totally been avoided without the Tsukuyomi.
The threat of the Coup was already elimated and Sasuke posed no threat to the village. Still Itachi continued the facade.

However with itachis decision, at least Itachi knows his brother is alive and safe, as well as innocent people from the village don’t have to be a potential subject of war.
Higherups were responsible for the position Uchihas were in, not the village.
And the coup would have turned out to be a lot worse for the Uchiha. Survivors would have been labelled traitors, and Danzo and the loyal foundation would have ensured they won't survive for much longer or get experimented upon at worse.

The oppressed Uchiha 🚶
Before we begin on itachi specifically we need to talk about the Uchihas as a whole.
The Uchiha were one of the duo founders of the leaf along with the senju and this came from a desire for peace after years of battle.
But the Uchihas were always looked down on...
They were given the police force because they were good at it but it was also to keep a close eye on the Uchihas.
After the nine tails attack the leaf then turned around THE NEXT DAY and blamed them for the attack then without explanation RIPPED them from their homes and moved them to the edges of the village.
This OBVIOUSLY infuriated the Uchihas because they felt betrayed and were being oppressed by the leaf.
Many people always look at itachi and his mental issues when killing his family but never really analyze WHY the coup happened in the first place.
Let's talk itachi 🧐=🤡
He was a great Shinobi and a very book smart character equal to that of the hokage ( tho he doesn't have the wisdom of a hokage)
But itachi was very mentally troubled and honestly if "Better Help" existed in the Naruto verse he'd be the number 1 subscriber.
Itachi was introduced to death and killed his first man at around 5-6 years old....( I blame fugaku for him being there)
Itachi also over thinks literally everything while he is 5 years old, questioning what a village is and what the Uchihas think etc.
He even at FIVE YEARS OLD tried to off himself.....what five year old do you know of is trying to off himself?????????? Bro has issues and BAD ones, needles to say his mental health wasn't all there.
He later joins the anbu and this made fugaku ecstatic BECAUSE he could finally get some answers on why there in the situation that there in.... because the leaf told them NOTHING.
So guess what itachi dose to quell the anxiousness of his clan....he tells them absolutely nothing 😮.
-He doesn't tell his family that an investigation is on going and that after everything will be ok.
- he didn't tell them to bear with the situation a little longer and everything will be ok.
NOTHING!
but guess what Ratachi did do...he IMMEDIATELY snitched to the leaf of his family's potential rebellion from oppression. 🐀
Then itachi became fearful of a war that WASN'T HAPPENING, a "A WHAT IF WAR" ( his young mind was overthinking again).
And he decided to listen to DANZO instead of asking and receiving guidance from the hokage and decided to kill his family because they would cause trouble for the leaf if they rebelled.
He went to Obito and begged Obito to just kill his family but leave the leaf alone then partnered with him to execute the massacre. And slaughtered his entire clan that night except Sasuke.
Afterwards loving brother itachi made Sasuke watch him kill his mom and dad as well as everyone else for TWENTY FOUR HOURS (TWICE). THEN told him to kill his friend to gain some power.
Allat so Sasuke can come back and kill itachi like some Suicide on Lay-a-way.
Nevermind poor Sasuke and his mental anguish this caused.
B-But he had no choice 🤡🧢
Itachi had SEVERAL choices he could have done.
1.) He could have equally sided with his family and told them that everything would be ok and told them what's ACTUALLY going on instead of leaving the poor Uchihas to speculate.
2.) Use the kotoamatsukami on either fugaku, or the hokage to receive better treatment.
3.) If he had to kill someone why not all the combatants? He could have killed the fighters and WOUNDED fugaku ( he was honestly a good man) this would have left Sasuke with family and he could have dipped, then he later could tell Sasuke he did that so that all the Uchihas wouldn't die vs the leaf...
4.) Instead of erasing his whole family for the leaf what if he sided with his oppressed family and DEMANDED better treatment
5.) If this was all about Sasuke he could have taken him and dipped the let what happens happen.
Etc.
And get this....he already stopped the coup in about 1 hour of the massacre 👀🤯. He killed the combatants and fugaku was standing down.....SO WHY DID HE NEED TO KILL HIS MOM, or grandma, grandpa, BABIES, his girlfriend etc.????
It's like if you break into a country and kill the prez then proceed to kill all the civilians and elderly..FOR WHAT???
and afterwards he dipped, put on nail polish and jointed the Akatsuki 💅 and was actively helping the organization with their plans. He was actively trying to kidnap Naruto which would have endangered not only the leaf but the whole world. Not ONCE did you see Ratachi snitch on the Akatsuki or actively sabotage or go against any of their plans.

No he wasn't. Tell me why the leaf knew NOTHING about the Akatsuki AT ALL. nor what their actual plan was until they had to figure it out.

Kishimoto wanted to retcon itachi due to mass popularity, so he made a story on why he did what he did but it was terrible.
His parents on their death bed were praising itachi was the cringest thing I ever heard in all of anime.
Like why are you praising itachi for killing his entire family due to them wanting to stop being oppressed? And fugaku should be like why are you attacking your mother??? She's not a fighter. Like imagine being on your hands and knees with your wife as YOUR SON is getting ready to decapitate you both all because of a "what if hypothetical war" and the fact that you DARE buck back against the leaf....then you praise him " your such a kind boy" 💀💀💀. Bruh the story is trash.

He knew Sasuke would survive this, and all he would need is a purpose(also, his life was worth more than the village to him). Moreover, it's not like Danzo would have liked and accepted the idea of Uchiha children surviving. Danzo and his loyal foundation would have ensured that these miserable, sad lives and potential traitors would not live much longer, or they would get experimented upon at worse. To be honest, I would have chosen death than be in Sasuke's shoes.

Itachi’s dad was the one who was behind the whole coup. Itachi tried multiple times to get him not to do it but he refused to listen to him. But also Danzo told Itachi if he didn’t kill his clan then Danzo would get them all killed including Sasuke. So it’s very possible even if they decided not to do the coup that the monster Danzo would have murdered them all anyways including Sasuke and Itachi 😢

Itachi emerged out as the most hated character but with due time he became the most loved one.Why? Because here is your answer for why he killed his clan.
As you know Senju and Uchiha were always in bad terms but Hashirama, Tobirama somehow managed to build a new village with the help of Uchiha specifically with the help of Madara Uchiha. Tobirama created The Konoha Military police force for the Uchiha to run so that the trust could be build between them and Uchiha.
But it didn’t turn out to be the right way in the long run. Uchiha planned a coup to annihilate the entire village.Here comes the main role of Itachi.Uchiha wanted Itachi to act as their spy. But Itachi was against this coup and so he acted as double agent ,providing information on Uchiha to the konoha.
The third Hokage at that time wanted to resolve this situation peacefully just like Itachi wanted it to be resolved.But there were people in konoha who were entirely against Uchiha and never trust them ,Danzo(the sixth Hokage) was one of them and it was originally his idea of annihilation of the whole Uchiha clan but still third Hokage kept on resisting to see where it was going.
However the things turned out the other way as you would have seen that Danzo is known as “the darkness of the Shinobi” and he gave Itachi two choices to die along with the entire Uchiha clan (konoha was one step ahead of Uchiha and they planned a coup to annihilate Uchiha beforehand) or assassinate the entire Uchiha clan in exchange of his little brother’s life, you know Sasuke right?
So this is how story unfolded,Itachi chose the latter.
Now you know he had no choice , Uchiha fate was sealed but Itachi who loved his brother so much, managed to save his little brother when there was a minimal chance of Sasuke’s survival
