    Just made this. I halved the serving size and substituted red chili pepper with a bit of cayenne powder. Put it over a sautéed kale, roasted sweet potato and roasted Brussel sprouts bowl with sliced almonds and dubliner. Sublime!!!

      @@homeh5463 I find it to be very nutty, with a touch of bitterness! But that all gets mellowed out when it's mixed with the flavors :)

    What's the longest you've kept this in the fridge? Everyone always says use homemade sauces within 3-5 days but that's such a short time, wouldn't something this simple last more like a week or two?

    It is a fabulous sauce that makes a great meal even more so :) Still not got the idea of cooking Tofu .It really is awful when I try to make crispy and in a word horrible .Your's looks great .No idea why the difference but it is one product I've quit Shame but what to do ..Any idea why ..

      I had the same problem. Use a tofu press. The best one I have found is the tofu xpress. I press it in the fridge overnight, drain and cook. Comes out perfectly crispy.

      I use whole foods extra firm. Oh she glows has a couple of cookbooks and an app. I followed her method to learn how to cook tofu. Once drained i toss with salt, pepper and garlic. Heat a cast iron skillet with a bit of evoo and add tofu when hot. That way tofu does not absorb the oil. After cooking i will toss with a bit of sauce for flavor. Good luck. Once you get it it makes tofu so much better... cheers!!!

      This recipe was a game-changer for me. We’ve used this recipe multiple times a week for almost a year. Always use extra firm tofu, and to make it even more versatile, you can either cube it or break it into “chik-fil-a” style chunks. You are literally just coating it in liquid aminos, then nutritional yeast, and roasting it on a pan with a silicone mat. I sincerely hope this helps. frommybowl.com/crispy-tofu-recipe/

    • @wbey2692

      Certain brands are bitter especially if it’s roasted tahini. It’s best to go with raw unroasted tahini as it is not bitter.

    I like your uses for this sauce, but it's been around a long time, minus the flaked peppers. However I would just like to say that this is definitely not oil free - tahini is the oil along with the pulp of the sesame seed - basically a seed butter, much like a nut butter.

    • @liyahb5567
      @liyahb5567 3 роки тому +1

      Oil naturally occurs in nuts and seeds of course. But there isn't any oil added to this which makes a much better option
