- When a reporter approaches Bridget, she tells Eric not to worry about her - she can handle Brooke’s scandals now because she has Deacon. Whip crows about discovering that Deacon is the father while Brooke looks to Deacon for help. Desperately trying to bluff his way out of the situation, Deacon insists that Whip is absolutely insane to come up with such a demented notion. Whip says Brooke could convince him simply by revealing who the real father is. Brooke refuses to name the father and threatens that both men will be out of a job if this gossip gets out. Ridge snatches up Amber’s sketch. Ridge says Amber’s design will never see the light of day because he and Eric will quit if she starts designing at Forrester.

I love Whip's game here. 😂😂😂 He is so superior to Brooke and Deacon that he can twist every word in such a way that the whole thing is about to explode. And Brooke and Deacon are probably already sweating wet 😂😂😂
Amber's sudden desire to be a designer (and sudden design talent) is just another example of a plot that's microwaved rather than cooked. Where's the buildup? The attention to detail? The gradual development? Instead, it's four minutes and she's ready for the runway.

It is a buildup of 2 months (real life) but with 3 episodes per day it feels much more rushed. 😅 In ep. *3695* we had Amber starting to design and had Amber telling Rick that at home in Furnace Creek she had spent much time singing or drawing - but yeah, during their marriage Amber never before had shown or mentioned that interest. 😏Stephanie also has been aware of that interest, after she had walked into Brooke's Mansion and then had heard Amber rambling about becoming FC's new head designer and Rick becoming the CEO of FC.
_Amber: Enter, ambrosia Forrester -- head designer of Forrester Creations, the genius behind the ambrosia line. Look out, Ridge! Look out, Stephanie and Eric! There is a new designer in town! And me and my CEO husband are taking over the joint.

@@mara4450 but that's just her mentioning it at home, and drawing at home. We haven't seen her starting to work at Forrester to learn to design, or having anyone teach her. She's just supposed to have this natural talent that somehow allows her to be a professional designer with no training. It _is_ still rushed because we haven't seen her learning or growing or working her way towards getting this far.
@@annieo6527 Actually, ep 3695, has Amber drawing at the office, when Rick was suddenly spending time down at the shipping office (and mentioned having interned upstairs in marketing before that - which hadn't been shown on the show).
Amber then also rumbles about some Coco Chanel book she got because she had always been drawing. But yes, you are right, the show didn't really show us Amber ever being professionally taught. Even that interaction with Kristen and how Kristen gave her some feedback, is only mentioned by both of them but not shown.
But suddenly Amber's first design goes into production.
@@mara4450 yeah, it just takes away from the realism in those FC scenes. We don't really feel like this is how an actual fashion company is run. And it's not like she could get a job as the company nurse after reading a book on nursing and always being good at taking care of people. It makes it look like designing is not a real job, and as a person with a college degree in a creative profession (music composition) it bugs me whenever artistic talent is portrayed as something you just have and then you're good to go, no education or formal training necessary.

Brooke and Deacon hugging every time someone leaves the room does not help their case. I guess they don’t realize Whip could’ve turned back around and saw them with his own two eyes
What Brooke is doing is absolutely disgusting and yet the show (and some people here) are treating her as if she's some kind of misunderstood heroine. I've always said she works better as a villain and that's how she should be seen. Getting pregnant by your daughter's husband, choosing to keep the baby, and choosing to carry on with him - these are irredeemable actions.

Even though Ridge is a jerk, I don’t care for Amber and Rick in this storyline either. Rick is still in the green and hasn’t even been in the business long. Amber is riding on his coattails trying to get herself in the fashion business which she knows nothing about. Ridge has been doing this for years.
Why doesn’t Deacon just separate and annuls his marriage with Bridgette.He clearly isn’t committed to her or feels much for her looking at the way he is all over Brooke trying to protect her,hugging her and what not.Staying with her is going to do more harm in the long run and why does Brooke want them to stay together anyway?Who would want their daughter to be married to someone who cheats on her.
And then? Can Brooke and Deacon play mommy and daddy? Of course, Bridget doesn't deserve to be screwed over like that by her husband. Too bad her mother is involved in the whole thing.

Honestly, I'd be mad if I were Ridge. What, exactly, makes Amber qualified to be a designer? Being married to Rick? If she fancied herself a model, I suppose she'd get that job too.
This show literally makes it seem like anyone can come work at a million dollar enterprise, whether qualified for the role or not. Starting with Brooke as CEO.
At this point they'd be better off bringing back Clarke to work there, you know, an actual designer...

Bridget is so trusting and depending on Deacon. She thinks he is so *_solid and stable_* .
Again, why is Bridget putting Deacon so much on a pedestal. That is the guy who used and left Becky, who got involved and used Bridget, when he then really wanted Amber. The guy who has cheated on Bridget before and has told his wife that he had sex with another woman.

I want to feel for Bridget and I do when it comes to what her mother is doing to her because that is something she could never have seen coming. But when it comes to Deacon, she really should know better. (Besides, he smokes, which to me would be a deal breaker.)
I wish Whip’s and Deacon’s roles were reversed. Say what you want, but Sean Kanan and Rick Hearst are the best male actors on there. Also Joseph Mascolo as Massimo Marone of course!

@@scor66 I think SK started off great (he was kind of like Whip, but eviller lol). Now having him as Brooke's new lapdog has watered him down immensely for me.
I do like Whip's character now (and enjoying him trolling Brooke esp lol), but I figure sadly he will get watered down soon enough.

At least Dylan was in fashion school, learning about the actual industry.
Now we have one kid in a suit too big for him in business school (which clearly is on theory bc Massimo had to teach him practical application). And another kid married to big suit who can't even dress herself but wants to dress other ppl.. 🤕

Without Brooke’s drama the show would be so dull. Ridge does his fair share of drama himself, as does Stephanie.
I feel the opposite. Brooke's drama has me fast forwarding every episode now. I would much rather watch Sally.
The character Brooke does bring some tension to the show, yes. But my problem is, the character never grows/evolves and has the same drama, every time.
Even Brooke's drama has its limits for me. It's gone past its limit

I like that Deacon and Brooke didn't just give in to Whip. This makes Whip more believable as an antagonist because the protagonists are actually fighting back and losing. It reminds me of Deacon when he first arrived.
Yeah, eric has a lot of practice with lying, playing victim and sweeping his own scandals, fuckery, foolery, bs and indiscreations under the rug.

I'm not a fan of Ridge but I don't give him wrong here. Brooke making inexperienced and unknowledgeable Rick VP just bc she's mad at Ridge is not good business sense.
It seems the company is a free for all and anybody can run it, if you have the right last name. And if that's the case, then why didnt Eric make Ridge the CEO years ago from the start instead of making him grow and learn the business first?

Ridge recently complained to his mother and Massimo how his dad, Eric, let Ridge down and didn't support his son.
But now we have Ridge again making assumptions how Eric would agree with Ridge and would walk away from the company that Eric has started and has worked at his whole life, if Amber's design would ever get produced. Ridge better first talks with his father and his siblings, before he makes such threats.
