Sally says Stephanie is the woman of Massimo’s dream while he views Sally as a clown. Sally says she has to go see an old friend. Massimo tracks down Stephanie to tell her that Sally knows their secret, and he’s afraid Sally’s gone to see Eric. *_"First Ridge had her, then you had her, and then she was handed over to Thorne."_* (15:10)
Sally sounds like she's reading our comments talking about how Brooke was passed down like a family heirloom. 😂
😂😂😂
😂😂🙌
@@NewYorkNick0607 🤣 😂 handed over to substitute Thorne.
@@tiroyaonejustinphologolo9763 IKR?? It's the way she managed to get in an extra dig at Thorne with that "handed over." 😂
Lmao
I truly wish they hadn't changed that storyline about Ridge's paternity because it made no sense whatsoever. Also, why I didn’t remember Joe Mascolo being on B&B?
Eric, you have always been a Logan kisser, smh.
Worst storyline and retcon. It ruined the show.
It didn't matter since it was changed but Ridge will always be a Forrester lol
Ridge is still the heir through Stephanie but I still hate what they did to Taylor’s character after bringing her back.
As much as Sally's feelings of betrayaI don't make sense where Massimo is concerned (because she knew all along that he only agreed to date her so she would keep his secret), they are _perfectly in character._ In fact, Sally is one of the few characters on the show right now who is still completely true to her original characterization. This is how she has _always_ been with men - hoping to win their hearts and believing they would fall in love with her, even when it was obvious that they had other plans. From Clarke (who wanted Spectra), to Jack (who wanted Stephanie), to Anthony (who wanted Macy), to Eric (who wanted to stop Sally from steaIing Forrester designs), to Massimo (who wants Sally to keep his secret). The only man who actually loved Sally for herself, without wanting anything from her, was Adam. And he has disappeared.
It is reassuring to see that even as other characters are disintegrating around her, Sally is still very much herself, with _every_ part of her personality and _all_ of her significant relationships still in place - her humorous larger-than-life persona, her cIass dynamic with the Forresters, her misplaced romantic optimism, and her maternal love.
Well said Annie 👏
The show always does a good job of portraying the "status imbaIance" between Sally and the Forresters. There is a nice interaction in this episode when Sally is talking to Eric about the tragedy of Macy's death, ans while she is talking there is a point when he turns his head away dismissively because he doesn't want to hear what she is saying (the implication being that he's heard it all before), and immediately Sally raises her voice to counteract his movement away from her, trying to direct his attention back towards her. But she is unsuccessful in her attempt to assert herself, and instead Eric dismisses her even more coldly with his "you have to start seeing someone about this", completely invaIidating her feelings and IabeIing her as irrational, which is the __ultimate_ way to lower someone's status.
True words.I hate when Forresters act so superior, not status-wise, money-wise, business-wise (hey, we got some epic Sally vs. Stephanie battles thanks to it). But when they show, let's say, emotional-superiority. People, Sally lost her child, beloved daugther, it's not like she has some clan like you, Forresters have. Though Stephanie has shown some compassion over the course of time and Eric - he's just a donkey.
Annie I felt the last line 🤧
Great post Annie and I LOVE your analysis of the Sally/Eric interaction. Thanks to your post, I made a point to watch that scene and watch it closely (I skip past most of the episodes these days and only watch stuff that seem interesting from the comments). I also like how they're using Sally to keep Macy's memory alive for the viewer since they know she's coming back eventually.
@@NewYorkNick0607yes, it feels very deliberate the way the show is portraying Sally's grief so that although "dead", Macy still exists as an "active" character on the show.
I have begun watching the show a little more attentively lately because there are some good Sally/Stephanie scenes coming up. Also, the Sheila storyline is just around the corner and I am looking forward to analyzing the dynamic between her and her daughter (I think this is the first time we actually see Sheila interact as a mother - not counting small children who are mostly used as objects on this show).
It only just now occurred to me how the theme of the show at the moment seems to be motherhood (and, to a lesser extent, fatherhood). And Sheila's return will add a kind of dark shadow version of that theme.
Sally should have figured out that Massimo wasn’t interested the night he took off when she went to change!
Eric was always far more respectful of Sally than Stephanie was.
In these scenes, it's quite the opposite. Eric completely dismisses Sally's grief while Stephanie will be far more sympathetic.
@@annieo6527you know these people see what they wanna see. Even from how he first greets her “sally what do you want” is far from respectful
10:45 not Eric pretending to accept responsibility for his actions. What this is, is a long winded way of applying reverse psychology 🥱
It's so Eric Logan to invalidate someone's feelings. He's doing it to Ridge and Sally in this episode.
Yes - he is dismissing Sally's feelings as if he was completely innocent in the situation that led to Macy being unalive.
Why doesn’t Eric correct Sally when she so wrongly says he didn’t do a thing about Brooke and Thorne?? He did plenty
Yes he did
The problem is what he _did_ do, not what he _didn't_ do. The Venice scheme that set the whole sequence of events in motion that ended with Macy's death was all his idea.
@@annieo6527 but that’s not how she puts it
@@orifeldman3213 true - that part is inconsistent. What she should be saying is "why did you not tell me about your siIIy scheme when I asked you about it, so I could have made sure Macy didn't get puIIed into it?"
Yes the secret channel was shut down because they didn't have the legal right. Ok why doesn't the legal channel give us this missing season which is much older than the one we are watching now. This is not fair to the viewers
Absolutely. We are not asking for the moon and the stars for crying out loud.
What is so sacred about that season?
Sally has " no right" to this secret, Massimo being Ridges father, its none of her business. This thing with her keeping quiet in return of a possible relationship with Massimo is ridiculous 😮🙄
Looks like someone snitched and we no longer have Season 9 did anyone happen to get that email address!😢
Please share if you get it.
I guess CBS took down the secret channel that was recently uploading season 9. I didnt even get to finish watching all the uploads. 🙁
How did Ridges hand injury effect his arm ???
😂
RM looks good with those hair
That black shirt compliments him too!
Eric gave an actual accurate account of the situation and what happened. Brooke controlling the company isn’t new, and Ridge’s ultimatum was lose/lose.
Ridge is a spoiled brat
Sally, I think he’s hoping you would say something because he wants Steffy Stephanie that bad so I don’t think he’s worried about it either way he wins and yeah he did. He wanted to keep quiet but I don’t think he cares. I think he wants you to say something.
Eric, again promising Ridge he will run Forrester
Another man who could have had a great love story with Sally but waisted it on Stéphanie 🥱🥱
A 💚story with Sloppy Sally?! Eww🤮! Try and find aa co-star for that! Not even the Bell family has enough 💰!!!
If Sally didn’t focus on targeting men who aren’t in love with her and trying to change their mind she would avoid all of these “heartbreaks”
if eric, ridge and thorne kept their you know what's in their pants they wouldn't be going thru this now. be careful what you plant in the garden there are always snakes aka brooke. fools.
Whether Sally deserves justice for her daughter's (attempted) sui cide is a matter of opinion.
But hard to take her seriously when it's either having a relationship with Massimo or justice. Basically like saying I am fine with it if I can have the man. Either way I am liking she is going after Stephanie, because Stephanie has treated her like dirt, and even after her daughter's death where Stephanie was supportive, she continue to demean Sally. So I don't mind Sally threatening her.
The part where it's "either Massimo or justice" will be addressed in an upcoming episode, because Sally describes her wanting a relationship with Massimo as a way to escape the grief, meaning it fills the same function as her desire for justice.
@@annieo6527 What about justice for Macy though? If Macy was somehow "watching" what is happening and agrees that her mother has to make certain people pay, she is basically watching her mother sell her (Macy's) justice out for a man. That is not my personal opinion but I think this is what is going on in Sally's mind concerning her daughter and the need to avenge her death. And I don't think that this is exchangeable especially concerning a man.
I totally get Sally wants a way to escape her grief (in my opinion she does a great job on that one, with all the seduction on Massimo and the dance numbers) but she can try and have both Macy's justice and a relationship. And also wanting to escape her grief with a man who is protecting one of the people she holds responsible is even worse.
Again, I would like to point out I don't agree that Sally should make anyone pay, especially Stephanie who was the least responsible in the particular situations and events that led to Macy's death. But I am going with what Sally has wanted. And I am not complaining that she is getting to Stephanie for several other reasons, including demeaning and hurting Sally unfairly at times.
@@marn25I think deep down Sally knows though, as Stephanie pointed out to her, that Macy wouldn't actually want Sally to avenge her like this. Sally wants _some_ kind of justice, _some_ kind of revenge, but she doesn't really seem clear on exactly how she will achieve it. Right now it seems that she feels that any win for the Spectras, or any loss for the Forresters, will do. She feels (rightfully) that too much has been taken away from her, and she wants to "even things out" any way that she can. She is acting emotionally because of her grief, so to me it makes sense that she doesn't make sense.
@@annieo6527 Also perhaps some ingrained anger towards Stephanie, who has looked down on her for years when Sally has done several good acts benefitting Stephanie, and I feel for Sally if that is how she is feeling. I recently saw this episode from season 9 where Sally went to this party uninvited. Stephanie spent the whole evening acting like a guard dog when almost nobody else really cared that Sally was there even uninvited. And Sally gave her a well deserved reply I wish I could listen to again, but unfortunately they deleted that episode.
Give us season 9.
sALLY SHOULD BLAME bROOK
is there any maid to open this door?
She fired, Steph was scared that Eric sleep with her
i HOPE sALLY DOES NOT BLAB
