But for us, it didn't like go to her eldest daughter, my Great-Aunt. I know this might sound weird or old fashioned, but I wish it had. My gran and Mom passed not long after and this huge extended family just disappeared.

In the process of fighting Stephanie first in the early nineties tolerated that Brooke was around, coming gradually to accepting she was before accepting her as a person. From that moment during fights the goal of Stephanie was not just attacking her, but it became telling her of in a caring way which she hid by being rough. Stephanie was in some certain ways a stable mother figure she needed.
You know, as bad as this situation is and before all hell broke loose at Bridget's reveal at the end, I always liked Deacon's smile while saying "Girl" when he found out that Hope was a baby girl. It's sweet to see a man react lovingly towards finding out that he has a daughter. A brief wholesome moment during a time of drama.
Sharon Joi, one of the reasons i feel like they rewrote some backstory! All i see is Brooke acting like she and Stephanie were BFF. Like Stephanie loved her more than her real daughters. I think Brooke is awful so i would love to see that!
