Man that's some special brand of guts to drive that through a big city on high idle and about a third of a single circuit brake system! Keep at it, I'm glad as heck to see Angus back on the tube.
One good thing about this episode was that we got to see quite an extended driving session with the vehicle - something that doesn't happen on most vehicles here. Obviously some vehicles are not appropriate for that, but still - nice to see.
Angus, Chrysler Corp. / Dodge & Dodge Trucks called this 6 cyl. engine a SLANT Six, not an Inline Six, because of the slant design. Its nickname is the "leaning tower of power". The grill on your truck is a Mid year design change from the older dual headlight "horse collar " grill. The design on your truck in nicknamed the "pie pan" grill because of the headlight trim rings.
ha that "move the ISO down to auto" then instantly better lighting clip was funny, I like this dude he explains everything he does, Id happily watch more with him
Everything about this video was 100% relatable to anyone who has ever wrenched on an old piece of equipment. I liked the look of fear/excitement/doubt/joy on Angus’ face as he drove a clapped out truck with questionable EVERYTHING (including choices) thru a major city during rush hour! Keep doing what you’re doing JYD crew!!!
I knew that feeling when I tried to road test my 55 GMC Truck for the 1st time. The Hydro transmission only works in 1st, 2nd and reverse gear. Nothing electrical works, it hasn't been on the road since April 1991!

Honestly Angus was awesome! Love the atmosphere he brings with him and I think he did really well for his first time. Looking forward to future videos from him and I really like the 64 f100 he's got! This is honestly one of the best revival channels out there and I like the tech that we learn along the way. Keep up the great work guys!
I wait every week and count down the days to watch your content.. I personally think this was a fantastic idea. Angus is hilarious and a great addition to the channel he fits right in with the junk yard family. And I see alot of comments of him being nervous which I mean who wouldn't be.. as time goes by this will be gold. Keep up the good work Kevin, mook, and Angus. 🤘
Engine is a mid to late 70's "super six" unit that has been back converted to a single barrel carb (original in 1965 was a Carter BBS, super six was a Carter BBD, later model BBS on engine now).
Nice to know I might be right on that. Having worked on a few newer ones (I have no idea when they quit using that engine, but the last one I worked on was from the early 80s), he would be far better off if he can get that BBS working right. Those two barrels never worked right for me.
My $0.02 (being Canadian that is a NIL value to USD but...) Angus has a comfortable dialogue, great presentation, was an enjoyable revival. Good stuff EH!
First time by him self he did great! A bit more technical would be awesome and I think he will do just fine as he progresses with it. I could come home from a long day at work and listen to y’all crack up working on something, he has a good attitude and great presence on camera. You better keep them coming!
Angus did a nice job with this. His intro started to almost sound like the old Simpson's "Hi, I'm Troy McClure...you may remember me from such..." which gave me a chuckle. I ain't gonna be mad if he does some content for you all. He seems like a good dude fully capable of bringing some rusty old beaters back around for another turn.
Angus nailed it! More rehab content would be good. Two things about old Mopars are slant sixes have solid lifters that clatter especially if out of adjustment and the lug nuts on one side have left hand threads. I found out about the left hand thread after breaking three lug nut studs on my best friends parents station wagon.
I said it live after the video ended but I’ll say it again I’d love to see a video of really just advice for anyone who wants to do their own revival videos suggesting things like cameras to use, mics etc; what to ask the previous owner of the vehicle your reviving before setting up and recording
Unfortunately if you don't know the kind of info that's pertinent to ask the seller of an old broken down rig, you likely should try a smaller project before trying something like this
That was awesome. I Definitely would like to see more of this D200. I'm a Mopar guy and had several leaning tower of power 6s. Keep up the good work Angus.
I’ve had 4 d series trucks, 2 200s and 2 100s and 1 of each was passenger side instead of driver, couldn’t tell you why. All of them were 1969. Very odd.
Angus was very watchable and also makes a nice contrast in presenting style to yourselves and that adds variety to an already great channel. I would enjoy aeeimg more on this vehicle being prepared for regular use.
Angus nailed it! There's a guy from Mandan ND that races dirt track, his main tow rig is a truck just like this with a 12 valve swap. Last year he hauled his, and his brothers imca stock cars all the way to Bristol! They're stock cars are also mopars!
At first I was kinda skeptical of Angus being a new host but after a few minutes of watching the video I know he is gonna be an amazing host for this channel
I appreciate anybody that is willing to be brave enough to film them doing something for the free entertainment of other people willing to watch. This is where you get to know people and also their style of humor ....now that Hollywood is finally dead, we can watch true entertainment in peace. Respect from South-Africa.
OMG, I gotta watch this one, my dad owned the same style Dodge PU but inn red, he bought it for just a few hundred bucks whenit had 150k miles on it, I was a teen, we used it as a parts runner for the trucking company dad had back then, He had hit 200k and decided to sell it to a neighbor / driver who worked for him for $500. The new owner drove it about 25k more miles and threw a timing chain, replaced it he got the rotor 180 degrees out of time, it would idle but stalled instantly if you touched the gas pedal. He was so frustrated with it he said if someone would give me $100 I'd get rid o my problem. That was the fastest I ever pulled out my wallet ever. It was downhill from his place to my parents so I climbed in and let it roll to my driveway where I reversed all the plug wires which put it back in time. I drove it to about 280k miles as my daily driver, ran into a parked 1972 nova and it was so solid it only bent the grille a little bit and knocked out one headlight, the nova rear bumper ended up in the back glass and the springs were bent to a 90 degrees angle straight up behind the back axle. The 225 slant six and 3 speed auto held up until I blew a heater hose and melted the pistons to the block. It was sold by Mr for $75 with a blown engine. A great truck to run over 50k miles that cost me a whole $25. Good luck, and if that's a 69 with a 225 slant 6 I might be inrerested in it if the price were right. Peace and good luck.

26:00 Those hinges are complex for a reason! These trucks have an ability to raise the hood completely vertical (straight up and down) and all you have to do is push it past it's "normal" open position which will open it all the way. Great for engine swaps and other space sensitive work!
then if you like him he can start his own channel and you can sub to him, i sub to Kevin JYD not this guy... if people like him then he should go to his own channel.. i will pass, he is not Kevin.
Was fun, you could tell he doesn't have as much routine in working on the vehicles that sat so long which is awesome because that's probably like 99% of the audience. Freaking out over every sound and smell you have, loved it! Great job!
You guys continue to show why I enjoy watching you. The fact that you are giving the opportunity for someone else to potentially get to be more involved in your channel is pretty awesome. Great video, I look forward to seeing more. Congrats Angus!
Angus was one guy I wanted to see more of after the F100 revival. So I’m all in for the occasional Angus format, especially if it means taking a load off your busy schedule and getting Angus some deserved exposure. I think he fits well with the group, great personality and very knowledgeable. A side note, I have the exact same wheels on my ‘60 3/4 Chevy. Simple and attractive design in my opinion

I laughed when he snapped and had his overalls on, which were in the f100
Angus was great! I hope he continues his witty and unique revivals.
Angus seems to be the perfect addition, really enjoying this vid and his previous additions.
Good to see you guys growing
Thanks!
Engine is a mid to late 70's "super six" unit that has been back converted to a single barrel carb (original in 1965 was a Carter BBS, super six was a Carter BBD, later model BBS on engine now).
That's exactly what I thought also.
Nice to know I might be right on that. Having worked on a few newer ones (I have no idea when they quit using that engine, but the last one I worked on was from the early 80s), he would be far better off if he can get that BBS working right. Those two barrels never worked right for me.
Loved the addition of Junkyard Beef, he fits right in with all the other craziness!
I concur with that recommendation sir.
Hes also scared of spiders, that's always fun to witness.
Good job Angus! You acomplished what you set out to do and I really enjoyed the video! Nice old Dodge truck
I’m not gunna lie this dude is perfect for a host , honestly love his vibe and just sends it the junkyard way 🤣🤣💯 gotta love it sign this men 💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸
I like this dude. He doesn’t try to explain stuff he doesn’t know anything about like Kevin.
Can do!
As someone who has a project car that I've considered trying to do a video series on, that would be great.
I’ve been wanting to do the same and also seen a few revival quality vehicles on marketplace lately and have been needing a new vehicle too
@@JunkyardDigs i sub to you Kevin not this yo yo... he can start his own channel. i will pass on this content.
Unfortunately if you don't know the kind of info that's pertinent to ask the seller of an old broken down rig, you likely should try a smaller project before trying something like this
Angus is an excellent host, keep him around a long time!
I really hope people give Angus a chance. His comedy works for this channel and extra content is always a plus
Angus, I've missed you. He definitely has the knowledge and personality to produce great content. All he needs is more camera time and experience.
IT’S WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT KEVIN!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Angus rocked and I will watch him anytime. Cheers from the penal colony down under.
I can't even get away from the Kris Lindahl signs on a Junkyard digs video? NOOOOOooooooo!
Constructive criticism time: Have Angus buy a light for when he has to film in the dark
The iso setting we missed made it look a lot worse than it was! But it's fixed now
Angus also needs a better mic or better placement or something. He was hard to hear. Beyond that he was enjoyable. I'll watch him again
@@opossom1968 Sorry man look at the comments. I think you have been out voted.
Hey, he had the oil light!
Aw man you drew me right in to the headphones with your story
Just saying, I wouldn't mind watching yall do detail work
I just got my Raycon Everyday buds and I have to say…m a self-admitted AirPods snob but these things rock!!!!
That was awesome. I Definitely would like to see more of this D200. I'm a Mopar guy and had several leaning tower of power 6s. Keep up the good work Angus.
Didn't know how I was gonna feel about this since I'm used to Kevin's personality making the videos that much better. But this guys solid too 👌🏻🤙
"I'm not sure" but the lug nuts might be left hand thread on the passenger side.
I know they are on the driver's side sometimes, not sure about passenger though! Someone will correct me
Never heard of them on the passenger side, Dodge did it on the drivers side tho…
that's typically done on the driver's side
I’ve had 4 d series trucks, 2 200s and 2 100s and 1 of each was passenger side instead of driver, couldn’t tell you why. All of them were 1969. Very odd.
I have a '68 D100. The lefthand lugs are on the driver's side. There's a letter L imprinted on the face of the lug bolts.
Mid-60’s Dodge Truck: active trying to disintegrate into a pile of rust
Angus: “I see a dent. It’s obviously no longer mint. I’ve been bamboozled!”
Angus did a great job I’m looking forward to seeing some more work on the old D200
At first I was kinda skeptical of Angus being a new host but after a few minutes of watching the video I know he is gonna be an amazing host for this channel
Then why does he not go start his own channel you can then sub to him. i do not like this, i sub to kevin not this yo yo...
Good to see Angus is doing okay for himself, nice to see he didn't forget how to get dirty either :)
Good job, Angus. Hope to see more of the old Dodge.
EVERY TIME SOME ONE SAVES A OLD TRUCK AN ANGEL GETS THEIR WINGS 😇
Yes! Anugs!!! He did a great job. I must admit though, it wasnt as good as when Kevin and Angus work together because you guys are a riot. But I am glad to see him again and hope to see him more.
i like Kevin's and mook's content that is why i sub years ago. if i want i can go watch others but i like Kevins content if this yo yo wants a you tube channel go make his own. i could only watch 5 min then gone. this is not Kevin its just some one trying to take over the content and its wrong to give him the channel. like i said i watch for Kevin not others, if i wanted to just watch revivals from just anyone i would. i will pass on all the content not Kevin or mook. simple. if people like him then he can start his own channel not MOOCH off Kevin and his audience.
@@opossom1968 you sound bitter…
Give Angus some time and a few more revivals, he will find his footing.
Let him get his own channel... Leave this one alone.
@@steve318k Hey lotsa people start their own channel by guesting on another
26:00 Those hinges are complex for a reason! These trucks have an ability to raise the hood completely vertical (straight up and down) and all you have to do is push it past it's "normal" open position which will open it all the way. Great for engine swaps and other space sensitive work!
Dodge knew the owner would have to spend alot of time under there. Very nice of them to make it convenient! Lol
@@1980bwc Ahh yes, fanboy's still fantasizing about products that released over 50 years ago lol :)
Way to go Angus, I'm sure you'll start feeling more relaxed and confident in your new role.
then if you like him he can start his own channel and you can sub to him, i sub to Kevin JYD not this guy... if people like him then he should go to his own channel.. i will pass, he is not Kevin.
Ohhhh!! We believe it will! Also looks like an excellent candidate for a Hot Rod Hauler.... we know some people who might be interested ;)
@Lucore Auto… I’ve got a 70 W200, I’m going to need you to run exhaust come spring.
@@bohawkins5258 we know some guys who do that! ;)
@@LucoreAuto it’s going to be a challenge, block hugger headers, pto shaft and a transfer case to go around.
Angus is great. I support the addition.
Hey Kevin, Mook & Angus!!!!
Closin’ in on the 750k !!!!!
Hey as an addition nothing wrong with that as long as we're still seeing the normal content from y'all I say welcome Angus he's great
Angus is great and the truck is pretty coo.Let's see more Angus videos.
No need to tell me to be nice, I thought he did a great job and it was a great video. Angus rocks and should make more content. 100%
About time someone on the web revives a Sweptline. I own two and these trucks just dont get the credit and coverage they deserve these days.
Agreed. I own a '67 D200 myself. Great trucks they were.
I liked it... Angus did a good job for his first solo...
Love Angus! He'll be a great addition to your host lineup!
i love how angus said im just gonna go straight for violence
Was fun, you could tell he doesn't have as much routine in working on the vehicles that sat so long which is awesome because that's probably like 99% of the audience. Freaking out over every sound and smell you have, loved it! Great job!
I thought of this at about the 7 minute mark. “Who needs gears when you got tears!”
Is it alright if I steal that as my senior quote next year lol
It to good that's great it perfect even you can't get the entirety of working on a car from before the 90 any better
Yes to more Angus. Glad you brought him back and found him a place on the channel.
Yeah, could stand to see more Angus getting stuff running and moving. Nicely done.
i like Kevin's and mook's content that is why i sub years ago. if i want i can go watch others but i like Kevins content if this yo yo wants a you tube channel go make his own. i could only watch 5 min then gone. this is not Kevin its just some one trying to take over the content and its wrong to give him the channel. like i said i watch for Kevin not others, if i wanted to just watch revivals from just anyone i would. i will pass on all the content not Kevin or mook. simple. if people like him then he can start his own channel not MOOCH off Kevin and his audience.
NOW, I backed up to see go to channel and see what we missed. Just beginning now.
WHERE MOOK ???????
Need Mook !!!!!!!!!!
Angus Was amazing like every episode he is in it was perfectly good and he didn’t mess up great job angus!👍
