I'm catching up, Chris. Nice job and a good fixup. Just like in the kitchen: If you cook at some point something is going to go wrong. The trick is to fix it up so no one knows and enjoys the meal. Thanks for another excellent video.
Fresh inserts, reduced tool pressure, correct speeds and feeds... experience. Prior f ups reduce the trend of future f ups... but one never eliminates them.
desperate longshot here! i am looking for a spindle return spring for a kitchen and wade radial arm drill. model B24. cant get one here in the UK. can anyone help out?
@@josephwaldner7752 Only one comment was for you. The other was for the guy that has never stepped foot in a machine shop... much less ordered material.
"...but it turned out alright..."
A Dad/Machinist joke...epic!
It's mot really a f'up unless it goes out the door that way. Anyone who doesn't f'up probably doesn't do much. Good recovery

How do you get away with the part moving or flexing on you on the thin parts Chris?

it can not be forged, it it was a forged part it would not have been a round bar stock
@@badatheist9948 Ummm... 46% of my machine work is forged round bar. Round, square, hex, flat... all can be forged.
Looked to be flame cut.
