I’m actually a huge Halloween Resurrection fan and I’m currently working on a fan film sequel called Halloween Retribution here’s the plot synopsis. Michael Myers roams free around Haddonfield again after the events of Halloween Resurrection, to haunt the survivors of his previous massacre and traumatize a new generation while the son of Laurie Strode, John Tate, goes to Haddonfield with the idea that the Shape is still alive and seeks out Leigh Bracket, to claim vengeance upon the masked killer.
I don’t think they will do another full box. The two heads of Scream Factory recently said in a live Q&A that their original plan for 2021 was to redo the full Halloween box set but in 4K. Their big issue was licensing the Zombie films from the Weinstein company who no longer licenses out their films. When they couldn’t get those licenses, they opted for stand alone releases. I really think these new 4K stand-alones will be it for a long while. I have heard rumors, however, that Scream Factory is going to be doing a box set of the latest Blumhouse trilogy. Let’s hope that happens!
@@russceasetheruss5360 People either really like it or really hate it. It focuses heavily on a new character, if you like that guy and what they do with him then maybe you’ll like it. Myers is barely in the movie and I didn’t like what they chose to do with him in it. The fight with Jamie Lee that you see in the trailers is in the last 15 minutes of the movie.
I believe they tried to get George P. Wilber for the reshoots for Halloween 6, but he was unavailable at the time they reshot those scenes. Overall Halloween 6 is a mess of a film, but the dark tone of the film, and it is one of my favorite Michael portrayals. Easily the best mask since II, and of the scenes with George P. Wilber, he plays Michael better in 6, than in 4. I do enjoy this film.
H20 is definitely a step up from 3-6, and the Kevin Williamson influence is helpful, especially in the tense opening. I enjoyed that one and it scared me as a kid when I saw it first. I can say I enjoyed the 2018 version, but Kills… that was ridiculous, so I’m hoping Ends remedies some of Kills’ shortcomings. Too bad we can’t enjoy these individually as I only really want H20… maybe someday, depending on if Paramount owns these… I do like the first Zombie version, but again, 2 is unwatchable.
I prefer the theory that The Shape is pure evil and since it represents evil in a metaphysical sense, it keeps coming back even when you think you defeat it....rather than the more fleshed out backstory of Myers and his descent to inhumanity that rob zombie did
Not that I want to encourage squeezing even more money out of collectors who have already had to buy the box set on top of the first five, but the fact that Scream Factory hasn’t produced an exclusive “bonus” box, with new artwork, that can house all nine films, is a little surprising. Figure it’d be something like $15 plus s&h-at this point why not give the people what they want. That way they haven’t violated the terms and conditions of boxing the last three, but now fans could just swap them out if they want. It’d be easy money.

I'm glad i received this banged up and got a partial refund. The price I ended up paying was more in line with what these should have cost. I personally have much more fun with Halloween through Halloween 5 over any of these. H2O had a great opening scene but I usually space out before the conclusion.
I only have the original Halloween on 4K....doubtful I'll pick up any sequels. I enjoy bits of the sequels to varying degrees, but for me nothing is as consistently perfect as the original.
@@4K_Kings Michael Myers gets beat up. He is powerless and homeless. Some new guy takes his place for 80% of the movie. There are only two good kills. Few kills and scares for over one hour. And by the time you’re watching a 60 year old woman beat up a 70 year old man you wont care anymore.
@@thedarknate08 Nothing is scarier than watching a horror icon look slow, pathetic, and half dead. How does that even make sense? Halloween Kills (another awful movie) ends with michael becoming a super natural killing machine.

I did pick it up to complete the collection and I can say I’d rather watch any of these movies over Halloween Ends.
This is the truth.
Me to I mean damn Ends is bad 🤦
I haven't watched yet, is it really THAT bad?

That but worse.

Sounds like in order to complete our HALLOWEEN set it's best to wait to buy this in 2023 SHOUT Oct. sale when they mark down the price.

H20 is not perfect but way better than the Blumhouse films!
Halloween Ends beats them all for worst in the series. Holy cow what a piece of crap.
