Why does anyone even listen to Bill?
Bills "New Rule" segments are actually well thought out and pretty neutral on the political spectrum. He's one of the only left leaning commentators I can agree or at least understand his perspective but this podcast was disappointing. He's usually more articulate than just saying a guy should be president despite how horrific he's ran his own state into the ground. I hope this whole time it wasn't his writers that was the core of his shows persona and this is actually how Bill thinks, I'm going to assume it's because he's cross-faded.

Abraham Accords. He promised to go after peace and that was a great start. Biden STOPPED the efforts to bring peace to the Middle East. He got a good start on the border wall. He couldn't get the funds but he managed to do it anyway. Biden STOPPED the wall and is now selling off the parts that Trump bought. Trump did the "remain in Mexico" deal, meaning that illegals must wait in Mexico if they want to enter the US. Biden STOPPED that deal with Mexico.
Also, he didn't have the majority in both the house and senate. That was why he couldn't get funding for the wall. He promised medical ships to California and New York to help with the Covid situation. He got them there.....one day late when everyone in the MSM said it was impossible. He initiated "Operation Warpspeed" which sped up the process to develop an new Covid vaccine. The vaccine that inspired some Democrats to say that they'd never take the Trump vaccine but then, when elected, tried to force everyone in the country to get vaccinated or else.
I remember the State of the Union address. Trump pointed out that the black employment numbers were the best ever. Republicans cheered, thinking that this was a good thing. Democrats scowled. I'm not sure why. Apparently working toward a better life doesn't sit well with Democrats if you're black.
Things were a lot better for the country, under Trump, than they are for California, under Newsom.

There will always be enough money for him to live in luxury. 150 million net worth is a lot of cash and it should be there for him until he passes away.

On every single macroeconomic variable you can measure except for housing costs, California is OWNING Texas and Florida. #1 in Aerospace, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Software, Hardware, AI, Rare Earth Mining, Media, Tourism, Professional Services, #2 in Biotech, etc. California receives TWENTY TIMES the private investment capital of Texas and Florida, $100b a year vs $5-7b for TX/FL. That is a HUGE vote of confidence of the market, even right wingers with money are more willing to risk it in California.
Virtually every new advancement and industry arrives in CA first. And you can whine all you want about supposed companies leaving CA, but more are being created faster than they're leaving -- Creative Destuction. Most of the ones leaving are old and outcompeted. And companies like Tesla/SpaceX TRIED to leave and found they couldn't, and ended up expanding in CA. Tesla for example expanded their HQ, expanded the NUMMI plant,, and built a new battery plant, Musk even did a Photo Op with Newsom. SpaceX similarly couldn't get its engineers to move to TX and had to EXPAND HQ2 in CA.
The Senate GOP produced a report "Losing out Minds, Brain Drain Across the US" in which they whine about CA sucking up all of the most skilled people all across the US. So when you talk about people leaving CA (and they've been leaving since the 90s when housing prices started going up in the dot-com boom), you're mostly talking about blue collar people in red counties. When you talk about professionals, CA is taking the high earning, intelligence people from everywhere in the US and around the world, and that's why the housing prices are still going up as there is no shortage of high earning people moving here.
PBD is fscking clueless, he's yet another real estate/marketing grifter who's never built or produced anything real, not like engineers in the CA economy.
For 30 years, the right wing has been tearing down on California, because they can't deal with it's massive success. And they LIE constantly. For example, TX and FL have a higher murder rate than CA, and they have high larceny rates. Dallas Forth Worth, run by a Republican, has higher burglary and shoplifting than many cities in CA.
California has TRILLIONS in value being created. 100% of the new AI revolution taking place is happening here. The new Spatial Computing/AR revolution? Here. When you buy your fancy AR glasses a few years from now to replace your phone, it will say "Designed in California"
