@@TheBeardedJeeper To be clear that wasn't a jab at you but at other channels. I usually don't mind install videos but I found it surprising how few real world test videos their are of the Warn winch line up.

I really like the controller plug. Had to replace my Smittybilt controllet socket after just two years because water got into the connector and corroded the connwctor since it is right on top. You are right about the shape of the connector and how important it is. My smittybilt has a round connector and when covered in mud, is hard to tell the correct orientation. I installed an in cab switch which solves some of my problems but my next winch will be a Warn, thanks for the video
Major Weakness yeah my Quadratec winch has the same plug issue. I also have the warn wireless remote so that helps too. But their platinum winch is completely wireless. It is really worth it to get a warn. Thanks for watching

I have definitely put my Warn to the test many times. I got the Platinum so I can sit in my rig drinking coffee yanking Jeeps out. 😁

@@TheBeardedJeeper literally the same as yours for line speed. The 12s have slower line speed and shorter winch lines, but can obviously pull more weight.

Question about the bumper, I have a top mounted wench and my temps on the interstate going up hills I can get into the 230s, have you noticed a difference in the engine temp on the inset vs on top bumper?
another JKowner I really haven’t noticed much of a difference. Are you on stock gears? Is your radiator clean?
@@TheBeardedJeeper no running 4.88s but did it when it was 3.21. Clean radiator, never stays that high as soon as I get to the top it stops. Fan works nee thermostat cant figure it out thought maybe winch. Need to take it off and test it

Why did you did you switch from evo to zeon? Looking to buy a warn and was wondering why the big price difference evo and zeon. Does the zeon out perform evo that much... almost double the price. Thanks for the video!
Brant Sherrell I didn’t have the evo. I had the warn VR and only reason I switched is because my VR broke and the parts were on back order to fix it.

I've had no problems with my 10-S. I added the wireless remote so I could sit inside and steer or stand clear outside.
I did add a Factor 55 Ultrahook.

PS...when did you go from a VR to this winch?
Yeah I really love this winch. I switched from the VR when I broke the VR in the fiasco that was snapping my front axle. Still have the other one and it can be fixed just need the parts.
Web Dev no the winch didn’t cause it. It was the perfect storm my rig was wedged between ice and a really pointy sharp rock and it just bashed it enough to snap it. I have a video showing the carnage

Hey man, your gonna destroy your synthetic cable. Your putting gouges in your fairlead when you spool your hook into your fairlead. Those gouges will start cutting your rope. Buy a new rope and fairlead and next time hook onto your bumper before your hook destroys your fairlead again.
This was just for the video. I normally hook it to my d-ring on the front bumper until I can get a flatlink or something
