1. Think Differently
He began training at 12 years old. His amateur record was 100 wins with five losses.
2. Have Confidence
He won the Light Heavyweight gold medal in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome.
3. Defy The Rules
He made his professional debut on October 29, 1960, winning a six-round decision over Tunney Hunsaker.
4. Stick To Your Game Plan
At the age of 22, he won the world heavyweight championship in 1964 from Sonny Liston.
5. Have A Bigger Vision
In 1967, he refused to be conscripted into the U.S. military, and was eventually arrested and found guilty on draft evasion charges and stripped of his boxing title.
6. Be Prepared To Handle Anything
His appeal worked its way up to the U.S. Supreme Court, where in 1971 his conviction was overturned.
7. Show Good Sportsmanship
Nicknamed "The Greatest", he was involved in several historic boxing matches.
8. Be Determined
At a time when most fighters let their managers do the talking, Ali thrived in the spotlight.
9. Outsmart Your Competition
He has appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated on 37 different occasions, second only to Michael Jordan.
10. Be Charismatic
He remains the only three-time lineal world heavyweight champion.

I grew up watching Ali become the legend he is, incredibly tough and equally intelligent. Add the fact he was a man of conviction regardless of what the cost to himself.

Mohammad Ali was just a God send Man. Excelled as a sportsman,as a humanitarian.and excelled in his religion of Islam , he struggled al km life for the freedom of downtrodden.He was also a great comedian.

Not only during his life he was a light of righteouness, courage and kindness to the people around him and around the world.,his light is still around after his death.( like a star ,leaves its light for millions of years )
All those You tube video talks of him perk you up , in a most lively manner like no other. I do the same watch his videos often.
His legend lives on.
I too never met him,wished for it though, now I do wish someday I could visit the Museum of his and if I am lucky to meet his widow Madam lonnie Ali.
We all too shall leave one day, hopefully we leave some good memmories in the hearts of people we come in contact with, even though it will not be a GLOBAL influence as he had as an American , Muslim, Humanitarian, boxer, comedian and philanthropist .
Most importantly saved so many lives of American blacks,whites ,browns etc by standing against a super power govt. Eestablishment refusing to ho to war and kill,or get killed in an unjust war. Not only Americans but Veitnamese lives were saved by his stance. And so they are to be eternally appreciative of that greatness. His refusal to take part in the war became eventually mainstream and stopped America being a killing machine there and then. This is my thinking.

My favorite Muhammad Ali quote is "It's not bragging if you can back it up". While that may not be true in the literal sense of the word, I like it because it demonstrated that if you CAN do something really well, you have every right to demonstrate that. Don't be discouraged by the nay sayers who wanna silence you because you're "an egotist" or you have "no sense of humility". If you're great, you're greatness will speak for itself, but only if you allow it too. If you can't back it up, THAT'S when you become humble.

Ali was meant to be. A magician in the ring, one of the most charismatic personalities the world has ever seen. He moved like a cat, with his speed, agility and reflexes, defying the laws of physics. He was the complete athlete, posessed the heart, body and soul of a Colossos. A mental giant full of wit, intelligence and wisdom. Amazing human being...he had a lot of charisma too....What amazes me the most of him is that his life definitely transcended the realms of his humorous approach towards sports and entertainment into other, even more, subtle areas like philanthropic activities and community service~ It's really hard to come across someone who's able to be so good in his/her field to the extent that most of his/her highly fierce competitors or sometimes even enemies end up admiring and loving deeply. One needs to have a sophisticated balance between 'supreme confidence' and 'utter humbleness' - amalgamated with a charismatic humorous personality like of Muhammad Ali's, to be able to attain such a degree of value and appreciation from those surrounding and beyond. * Thanks for sharing Evan, It was a really nice compilation of such a great individual ever lived.. 😊

At the it seemed but in hindsight watching the fight gives you the impression that Foreman had no way of winning no matter how many times they fought! I suppose he could get caught with a lucky punch other wise there is no way Ali could lose. It is obvious that only way Foreman could realistically win was by knockout but Ali was “UNKNOCKOUTABLE”.
Absolutely not, the term "greatest upset" is used when an underdog defeats the champion.
So r u saying Mohammad Ali was underdog?

@@SaddamHussain-we9ec, George Foreman was undefeated, knocking everyone out at that time which included Joe Frazier, the guy who beat up Ali and handed Ali his first loss; George absolutely destroyed Frazier. Ali was expected to be knocked out in this fight. But Ali, not only was he able to weather the storm, Ali came back to defeat George; Ali knocked Foreman out.
I think this may be my favorite of this whole series. In any case, I'm resolved to take an Ali Moment to get in the proper mindset before I face any challenge from now on. That way, I'm sure to emerge victorious. Most of these rules resonate with me. Thanks, Evan!
