Petition signed. Thanks for a great discussion albeit so very unsettling. I cannot believe that the ANC cares so little about this country and the hugely negative effects EWC will have.
I hope you succeed on your plan to oppose this nonsense of a bill... Wish I was in a position to do something about. The way I see it, a quick solution to all of this countries problems is to remove the cancer that is the ANC from power...

I won't allow my property which was broken and vandalized to to taken because it's now a productive 100% off grid organic vegetable productive unit. Paid for and with title. I'll defend my property with my life if necessary. It won't be the first time I've armed myself to fight for freedom.

My old gardener said to me before he retired, if the government were to give him my property, he wouldn't be able to afford to maintain it, he couldn't afford the petrol for the mower or to service the mower, he wouldn't be able to afford chemicals nor maintenance for the pool, he wouldn't be able to afford paint nor services to fix nor maintain anything and that the property would just fall to ruin, these were his words with no prompting. As for paying municipal rates, well again it wouldn't happen.
He understood exactly what would happen. He voted for the ANC once, realized what crooks they are and said i will never vote again, they (ANC) dont care about us.
I can see a big physical battle coming up against have and have nots.
EWC - Unbelievable that any moral and ethical government, trying to grow an economy and create employment would want to introduce such an economically disastrous bill. Reason could be that RSA is dealing with a government that supports autocracies like Cuba and Russia. In the broader scheme of things that is exactly what Russia is trying to achieve with the invasion of Ukraine. Expropriation without compensation. South Africans need to stand firm against the proposed changes.

The tragedy is that this incredibly important message falls on mostly deaf ears…. I always remember saying years back why don’t Zimbabwean’s do something to change the trajectory they are on.. vote out Zanu PF….., at the time I did not fully appreciate the political intimidation and violence that your average Zimbabwean was subject to…. We don’t have this problem in SA yet… but it’s coming……this radical leftist ideology slowly eating up SA is sadly very hard to stop. Every person and organization in SA that is trying so hard to protect our constitutional rights needs to be fully supported. Just like the animals in animal farm by the time people wake up it’s to late…the PIGS are in charge…🥲
even tho we are all equal before the law but it’s dependent on how deep is one’s pocket. And by the way… if they make EWC via law then the constitution is worth nothing but the paper it’s printed on been used as fire lighter for a braai.
My concern. One can clearly see how captured the courts are. If it becomes law, courts will obviously vote with the law. One can clearly see this. STOP IT ,
So basically... some random person could hypothetically walk on to my suburbian home and set up a shack in the middle of the night... and then that person can eventually actually cause me to lose my property all together?
