It's incredible to hear how intact his voice still is at an age of 72 at Montreux '09. Heard him live on a couple of occations in 1992 where he was 56 yo - by that time I thought his strong signatory voice would only fade from there. Apparently I was wrong. Truly amazing.
Ooh Buddy Guy you give me Fever The one and only Buddy Guy, I am so grateful ,I had the pleasure to enjoy your concert @ The MUSICA Hall in Orange, Ca Buddy Guy wearing his Overalls w/ his polkadot sh rt and his amazing blues music was a night I'll always remember. I love you Buddy and your wonderful Band Much love and respect A fan forever Debra Mone Orange Ca 92867
Buddy Guy is an artist. His vocals are completely improvised as his his incredible guitar work. an incredible entertainer who has not lost his mind like so many that have been around as long as he has. Awsome video! nice work . Thank you Jozsef
He puts his heart into his fingertips that touches strings, he puts his heart into what's whisper or shout into the microphone and gives himself to us 100%. Fabulous. Thank you Buddy .And don't stop the blues
That voice. That presence. The superlative guitar playing. How did we in Chicago get so lucky that he moved up from Louisiana, braved the cold and decided to put roots down, open up a blues club and stay there. These clips from Montreux are great, thanks for posting.
ive seen Buddy play five times over the past twenty years and he never failed to amaze me. The first time in Boston at the Roxy Theater i always remember he is handing out picks to front row fans and when he looked down and saw my cute Japanese wife Megumi reachinv up for the pick...he stood still for a moment and broke out in a big smile...hes always been a great entertainer...world class guitarist...and a gentleman..
He is the best. I used to see him all the time at Antones in Austin, TX. He would come down off the stage into the crowd and walk out the front door his security guys were by his side. He would come back in and walk in the crowd and back on the stage. What a man and what an artist.
Not sure I’ve ever seen anyone who loves what they do as much as Buddy. I don’t go to many concerts but I got to see him in the early 2000’s and he was amazing!
Here's a little present for you: find the Newport Jazz Festival video that he's in. I wish I could get a still shot on this crap phone I have, there are moments when his face is the embodiment of pure joy. Real joy. It will capture you.
Got to see Buddy at the Coach House down in So Cal. SMALL venue. Got to sit right at the stage. Got a pick from his Tech. One of the greatest shows ever.
A * MILESTONE * in Music - History, this man is the blues at its best ! This is the highest temperature ever measured Don't miss his earlier version of this great tune, Buddy's on FEVER for many years Very good audio and video quality. Greetings from Switzerland, the land of Montreux at the lake of Geneva
In 1983 i was visiting toronto and went to a blues club.Buddy guy was playing that summer night.i do not recall if i heard of him before .i was glued to my seat.one thing i recall well ,he started walking dawn the isle and went on playing.then he entered the john and continued playing came out still playing .did not stop for a sec.another thing was a thing he said"eric clapton and keith richard could be my students.
Ezt a DVD-t már láttam korábban. Akkor is besz..tam ettől a számtól. Most sem volt másként. Egyébként is szeretem a "Fever"-t. Köszi a feltöltést!!! Nemhiába Buddy Guy az egyik élő legenda!!!
I remember Little Willie John and that he wrote this song. And I thank him. You have to research the song to find it out tho'. I have two favourite versions of this song. This is one of them. Love it.!!!! Incredible Sax player BTW. If I wasn't in another country I'd be going to hear him play whenever I could.
nothing but cool, I love the presence, the low voltage high amp tempo is perfect! Im loving the sax/fender duel....eyes closed and sailing through the notes.
I met Chico Chisholm through some friends in St Cloud, Minnesota that had an after bar party spot called the Voodoo Lounge. The following day he needed a ride to the airport because he was flying out to go see Buddy Guy. On the way down I secretly tried to tape record our conversation. Chico dressed in a nice pinstripe suit with top hat and cane. He Looked like a little Blues man right out of a movie. When I asked him who has he all played with, he said to me in rough old scruffy voice "I played with everybody, if they've been born, I played with them, if they haven't been born, I haven't played with them." Those were the days.
Only Buddy Guy could show up in a Gilligan hat and still be the coolest dude in the room
HAHAhAHHAhAhAHHAHAA... HELL YEAAAAAAAAH!!! He's cooooool!!!

Same bro!!! I get to our guts so strongly dam it! And then some buddy singing magic and nuances... Top notch.
Buddy's vocal phrasing is unique, powerful, as his sense of dynamics... So much to learn from this Guy!
One of the best sax solo's ever for this song. Jay can make your heartbeat race with his playing. Fantastic job.
I saw Buddy Guy in Florida and he knows how to put on show 💯
Buddy Guy is awesome and he deserves to be showered with praise but damn, what a band! They are so awesome!
This might be the best performance of Fever I've ever heard. Long live Buddy Guy
THIS is WHY I love Buddy Guy. If he doesn't entertain you, your no letting him in.

I saw Buddy in Tucson on my Birthday in 2004. He was opening act for Jonny Lang and he stole the show. What a Birthday gift. Master showman.
I can't help smiling when he does.
