I really liked your video. I think you were a brave and humble weekend warrior trying to get on the detail world. I'm also trying to understand and doing by myself so you have my respect. Keep trying and you will achieve it, I'm absolutely sure!
I’m same. I’ve a cheap DA. An old Rotary. A great mini polisher with good heads Farecla. Currently I’ve got G360 and wool head. I’ve heavier cut compounds. Trying understand it all. Not really understanding 3 step process inc Wax seal. I sell a car after in car trade so is polished or glossed we’ll just using G3 / G360.
considering how much effort it takes when using a machine to cut and polish with McGuiars, I have a feeling that you're expecting too much after rubbing it by hand for 30 seconds.
Nice Video... But I Would Like To Share The Tips... 1.Firstly You Need To Soak The Buffer Pad Inside Water Before Apply Compound On It... Make It Wet... 2.Secondly, You Need To Apply Compound On Paint Surface Before You Start Buffing It... 3.Thirdly, Never Do Buffing,Waxing Or Polishing Directly Under Sun Light Or Hot Area... Your Product Used To Buffing Will Fastly Dry And Can Cause You Paint Surface Become Unbalanced And Can Damaged Your Clear Coat/ Paint... You Can Do Buffing, Waxing Or Polishing Under Shady Or Dim Or Under Garage, Under Tree... When Your Job Is Done, Then You Can Sunbathing Your Car Under Direct Sunlight For 1Hour To Make Sure Your Paint Completely Absorb Those Product And Becomes More Shiny... :)

Would love G360 with wool comparison. I’m new to correction. Polishing.

Wouldn't take much to turn that into xr3 replica
True, I’m more of a fan of the base spec look than the XR3 . I think if I changed the engine I’d only lower it a bit 🤙
You do not need that much cutting compound...
There’s always one smart ass!
