YUBEL vs Dark Ruler: UPDATE:
Its not as good as it first seems as within the Sharvara Play they set a trap card and they busts open the door.
So the appropriate follow up would be... Lets Go with Evenly Match + Droplet Send Evenly and a Monster. That should crack the board stopping all the negates and emptying the board without destruction, BUT thats also why Yubel players are choosing to keep Rage on field.
If you find Droplet too costly, Eclipse is a good alternative shutting down Phantom and playing around Irae being untargetable (by the link2). Ending on both Varudras and Irae will be possible against "boardbreaker" decks. Droll, Crow, even Belle are much better against Fiendsmiths when typically Yubel didn't really care about them.
In regards to Evenly, a common ED tech for Memento is Herald of Mirage Lights specifically to protect against boardbreakers like it and Lightning Storm. So they would need to bait out the S/T negate some other way first
And if you have Bone Party set, you get to pop one of your own monsters first while also guaranteeing decent follow-up for next turn. If you also have S:P instead of Mirage Light you can manage to avoid actually losing most of your resources aside from maybe the field spell (which past the 1st turn isn't as important anyway) and one other backrow
Memento also isn't all that concerned with Mulcharmy. Normally, the NS, Horse, Horned Dragon, and Combined Creation would get them 4 draws, but you can also dump Combined into grave to summon it from there in order to cut it down to 3, and you can also use Bone Party to get Horned Dragon straight from deck instead)
True, tho I always find difficult to have the only fairy Mace in hand without before resolving Combined Creation to special Witch from grave...should we just use Bone party in dp to add it? Cause with evenly they wouldn't use any effect first
Mulcharmy gets you 4 draws against Yubel
DBB, whatever the additional normal summon off it is, Squirmer, and Sharvara. And that's pretty good honestly because the deck can end on so many hoops you have to jump around, the extra options you gain from the card draws can help.
You also draw off of Nightmare throne summoning whatever you add to hand.
@@LReezy1992 And Nightmare Throne gets doubly hit by Droll, shutting down the summon effect if Terror Incarnate is in the deck.

New level 4 illusions play around droll. Place in spell zone, if droll gets played move bith out spell then xyz into the new illusion negate to at least have some form of extension
I wanna know how this actually acts as a follow up... I get we get an illusion, personally the moon maiden is the one i kind of like for Illusion protection.
Tenpai is possible to get 3 draws off of but you’d have to see Dora plus Chundra. Chances are it’s 2, with Paidra-Chundra or Dora-Genroku
Drawing off of Sangen Summoning is still nice, at least.
for Yubel vs the "new" Maxx C. it's 5 draws if they also have throne. throne adds from the hand then SS the yubel monster. either way I think it's going to be a solid side deck card even if it only draws 1 card. also I see we aren't respecting Labrynth in this video most of the cards mentioned in this video don't effect it and in my opinion got a lot better with the release of Phantom of Yubel. you can play the new Equation canon heavy trap build and have the yubel engine for a recursive monster interruption to slowly out grind the opponent.
Evenly would get the chance to be activated againts Chimera Smiths, Diabellze.

Memento actually work ok under droll like yeah under droll your board alot weaker but they can still get to Tecu and Conq (this still set up 2-3 pop, a steal and follow up play) of their 1 card combo and if they draw more engine card like party, fusion etc then droll nowhere near turn ender for them
About Evenly they can actually go for Herald of Miragelight line to counter evenly or going for the 2 quick spell set up board and blow their stuff in bp with party and horn leaving fusion set to access Conq in mp2
I think Yubel Fiendsmith could have a fair answer against every problematic going 2nd card: if you play Knightmare Gryphon, you can send judgement/anti-spell/skill drain with Beatrice and then set it with Gryphon. Idk if it is really possible as the ed is kinda tight, but I think it could be a good thing to try out.
Oh yeah I thought I had the format solved with ultimate slayer but if they flip judgement I’m done 😭😭😭

The wanna be maxx c is a side worthy card. People forget the second effect. Shuffle at random. Imagine drawing the cards you think you need just to randomly shuffle it back. Imagine how bad that would feel.
I read that its possible Mulcharmy Purulia stacks? Anyways Im sure its great in a marincess deck where I can draw out more handtraps to stop opponent.
Mulcharmy will be good in the side in most decks and great in the main of decks that prefer going 2nd. If its not $100 per copy, I'll be running 3 in the main. Playing blind 2nd Snake-eye Salad Sky Striker (its stupid OP)
I'll main deck mulcharmy for 2 reasons. The bad reason is that I never win die rolls so I may as well play it, the other reason is that it being water can work well in Ghoti if I have for instance Fishborg in hand & don't want to lose any of the other monsters in hand.
That is one huge upside Minn "C" has over Maxx "C", WAY better stats and more relevant attribute/level.

Already in this format, Having Droll in main has kept a lot of decks at bay sauf Snake-Eye.
Mulchomy seems to be at least a plus 1 in every match so i dont see why you should not play it
That’s cool. Droll goes back into Main Deck, and my Mannadium deck dies.
Ngl I think D.D. Crow is going to be better than being an alternative since it cuts off the fiendsmith engine by banishing Fabled (if that’s their first line of play since they likely have a clear field). Bystials won’t work until after it’s summoned and they’d still be able to get out at least one Engraver. Also has more flexibility by targeting non-light/dark monsters
Crow is a good ht overall next format (it practically works against anything), it should at least be sided, but I am considering playing it over something like Mourner honestly.
@@n3kuzya facts. I’m maining 2 atm and siding 1. At the N.A. WCQ, I MIGHT do the same and cut Ghost Ogre since it feels a bit lack luster next format. also taking into account the possibility of a banlist announcement in the next week or so, so I don’t want to finalize my deck list until right before the event.
Crow is good, but that isn’t a shift in meta trending cards as it is ALREADY being played.

Yeah dark ruler is not great against yubel, dies irae will just negate it after chamber is chained to ruler, also even if it resolves rage will come from grave later
Its a fair point that Chamber will be used to open the chain back~ I forgot through Sharvara they will set a trap which opens the chain up. Whether it be Escape or Abominable.
Double Omni is a pretty nasty board. We are back to Evenly + Droplet send Evenly + monster for full wipe Combo

I dont know why people are saying Mulcharmy isn't going to be good. You know pot of greed is still banned right? You said yourself most decks summon 3 or more times from the hand. Starting turn 2 with 8 cards in hand, or drawing into 3 additional handtraps is insane

I understand what you are on about, but it is still not enough. Snake-Eye can play Hope Arvenger and Yubel can play Varudras, it would be usable on so few occasions that it wouldn't even be worth it honestly
@@n3kuzya neither Harbinger nor Varudras can chain to Slayer, and the Ntss will bait out or get rid of another problem. 2 for 1, take those any day
Dies Irae can still neg Dark Ruler/ Droplet and Slayer if they flip a trap as CL2. Might be their #1 setup . . .

How does this break yubel board? You get rid of phantom but the ntss will just be negated by apollousa/lotus
Why Play no Players lightsworn Fiendsmith then the droll blocked not the lightsworns effekt? Then lightsworn wite can with Fiendsmith tractus searching

New memento deserves respect if it can top and OCG WCq it can top a TCG one without max’s C

If Spright and White Woods and Branded are gonna be mentioned, then so should Memento. At the very least, it's about on the same level as Branded currently
@@MiyaoMeow588 idk what white wood does, spright is arguable and branded is 100% better though. I’m just saying everybody is hyping up memento too much as of now. Too many decks are still at full power here that are severely neutered in the OCG, that’s why memento is doing good.
Recommending dark ruler in fiendsmith format seems like terrible advice. The one format where most decks are going to be running a monster that can negate dark ruler and have interruptions in their graveyard...
If a yubel player has any sort of competence there's no reason they wouldn't be ending on soul of rage in grave and chamber set for every single end board. Not only does this protect 3 interruptions from dark ruler, this makes every single yubel end board have a trap available to chain dies irae which means they can outright negate the dark ruler. So no, absolutely not, do not play dark ruler no more against fiendsmith yubel you will get negated and if you don't you'll still have 3-4 interruptions to deal with.
If you want to actually break their board, you'd need to play droplet and send a trap and monster as cost so they can't chain any negate or chain abominable chamber/escape of the unchained to allow dies irae to negate the droplet.
Edit: just remembered the illusion link 2 is also in INFO, even more reason not to use dark ruler. Generic link 2 that gives every deck access to a trap card that negates any face up card effects.
Dark Ruler can't be responded to with monsters effs. There is no monster which can negate it or even respond to it under any circumstance. You theoretically could if you chained chamber first as cl2 and then use Dies Irae as cl3, but no-one is going to play Dies Irae anyway, it's just not worth it.
@@n3kuzya the problem with playing DRNM and board breakers in general is that people will play Beatrice and Angel of Blue Tears + a turn skip trap dump, so if you don't hand trap them and just let them full combo you will die to those turn skip traps.
DRNM is effective in addressing direct interactions, I agree, but is still not preferred over Hand trap approach because of these turn skip trap cards.
@@n3kuzyaSo, you can actually negate DRNM with the new Fiendsmith monster that negates face up cards, by chaining a quick-play spell or trap card to DRNM, then chaining the monster effect to negate DRNM.

memento is one of the top rogue decks over there atm, and that's in a format with maxx c. memento folds to maxx c hard, and despite that it's still getting results
in a format without maxx c, it's going to be even better
@@MiyaoMeow588 on that same note the other best decks haven’t really got touched on the ban list and maxx C isn’t present here. I agree memento will be a great rogue option but it’s being way to overhyped here in the tcg.
