Apologies, I went on a bit of an unexpectedly long rant there for a while. In my defense, once you start to really examine the dungeon of Dagoth Ur, the more absurd it gets that this was Morrowind's final boss dungeon. I had honestly forgotten just how bad the vanilla dungeon was before I started working on this showcase, and it did take me a bit by surprise. But anyway, as always, you can find my personal list of graphics mods down below, along with download links for Dagoth Ur Fleshed Out: Dagoth Ur Fleshed Out by Orion - www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/54070 MMS Graphics Mod List - docs.google.com/document/d/1gVeM37dw4g5fJvMuJzC5t84yEDtnPbHmk93f1sxRmbc/edit?usp=sharing
I also like the weird oddity of how almost every item in the first Dagoth Ur cell is owned by some random dark elf in Gnisis. That was the finishing touch Beth did to bring the entire place together. 10/10 greatest dungeon of all time.
Haha, I'm usually under my other account Serious Thought, but Um at work. Would you consider creating a mod that adds like a group of Buoyant Armiger to help you get through the place.
It's a neat idea. A few others have mentioned similar to me but the AI being what it is, the actual result would be pretty lame. Maybe one or two to help could work. I might explore this once my current stuff is wrapped up.
Another thing that was dissapointing is in how in vivecs notes the battle of dagothbur was meant to be a full scale battle with the sixth house and the ordinators as you obtained keening and sunder unfortunately i dont know any mods for this but at least this fixes one element of dissapointment with the games ending
There is War Leader Nerevar by Billyfighter that allows you to gather an encampment at the base of Ghostgate to go into battle with you, might be what you're looking for: www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/49554
It looks good, and the greater compatibility relative to Darknut's GDR is worth a lot. I do think that's probably a greater selling point for this mod than some vague modern-ness, though -- I maintain that Darknut's vision for the fortresses of the Sixth House is timeless. This is very pretty, but so is GDR, and the focus on puzzles over combat of GDR is a much, much greater draw for me. Still -- good work, Orion! My preference for sticking with a previous overhaul notwithstanding, this is really impressive, and more options are always good.
A mod I really hope to see you review someday is "Deeper Dagoth Ur". I've wanted to see what that does to the exterior in a fly-by and know what it is and isnt compatible with. It looks pretty sick.
Great video! Love the vanilia vs. modded shots. However... this mod is getting merged into Arvesa companion mod? How do you know that? Or, more importantly, what's the scope of that mod then? Orion wants to redo the main quest?

Are you still having to record early in the morning to avoid traffic noise?
Making this mod was worth it just to hear DEG trash talk the vanilla dungeon. Great vid as always, DEG.

"can i get a record-scratch real quick" is not something i ever expected DEG to say 🤣

I was trying to ignore morrowind for LITTLE WHILE but geez these guys keep rocking it.

Just downloaded this, mid-way in the main quest, wish me luck. looks great
DEG taking the belt to Dagoth Ur was a treat 🤣
Hard to believe it took this long for someone to fill such an important but empty space.
Whoaaa - this looks intense! The reimaginings we have been getting recently are just top notch 👌

Looks interesting, but I'm not big on the sourcess menacing red light.
... 🎶 you don't have to put on the (menacing) red light 🎶
Now we need Arkngthand: A Notably Better Dungeon -mod.

Top 15 mods of 2023 when.
Oh Fuck! This is just what I needed!
Very cool !

Wowwwwwowowow
Make final boss dungeon great again 👍🏻
Given the "unorthodox" decoration in other Sixth House dungeons, the vanilla *is* kinda dull.
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 este mod es el final del juego, se nota la modificación, ya que el original es bastante pobre, se agradece la modificación 🤗👍
First!
