- France, a country in Western Europe, encompasses medieval cities, alpine villages, and Mediterranean beaches.
Paris, its capital, is famed for its fashion houses, classical art museums including the Louvre, and monuments like the Eiffel Tower.
The country is also renowned for its wines and sophisticated cuisine. Lascaux’s ancient cave drawings, Lyon’s Roman theater, and the vast Palace of Versailles attest to its rich history.
France has long provided a geographic, economic, and linguistic bridge joining northern and southern Europe.
It is Europe’s most important agricultural producer and one of the world’s leading industrial powers.
For more than two decades, France has reigned as the world’s most popular tourist destination, receiving 90 million foreign tourists annual.
Travelers from all over the world are drawn to France’s sophisticated culture, exquisite cuisine, fine wines, romantic chateaux, and picturesque countryside.
Many people immediately picture Paris when they think of France.
Whilst the country’s capital is a beautiful city filled with neoclassical architecture and some of the country’s most recognizable monuments, there’s a lot more to see around the country than just one city.
Try beaches in Normandy or the Germanic culture in the Alsace region.
Visit the Loire Valley for castles and vineyards, or Brittany for its earthy Celtic culture.
For more wine, there’s the globally renowned Bordeaux region - famous for you know what.
There are the French Alps, with Europe’s highest peak Mont Blanc to visit. In the south, there’s the endless charm of the French Riviera, including Saint-Tropez.
With a good climate, unspoiled countryside, top-notch culture, excellent healthcare, colorful traditions, and history.
It’s not surprising that France is the world’s favorite tourist destination, receiving approximately 90 million foreign visitors each year.

Beautiful city's. ❤️🌷
i loved it! i live in montpellier and believe you me this is such a great start for those who love france but run away from cold weather jajaja
Wonderful list of places and how you talked about them. You have a lovely tone of voice and that was most pleasing to listen to along with your commentary. Thank you
GOOD. INFORMATION. THANKS
Great video. Lived in Avignon last year and loved it. So glad you included it.
Aix-en-Provence should be on the list too
I have been to Avignon a few times and really liked it. How was it to live there? What made you love living there? Which would you prefer to live in, Avignon or Aix en Provence? What do you think of Montpellier?
@@LaChicaconSuerte-1111 Avignon is a small city and very charming. People are friend and down to earth. Quiet at night too.
train station there is super convenient as you’re in Paris or Lyon or the Mediterranean really quick. I love the Provence region
Actually Aix is a nicer and slightly snobbier city. Not like super snob. Just that the people have more money. It’s a beautiful city. Nothing to see tourist wise but definitely a great place to live
Montpellier is great too. Near the ocean and lots of students. I mean lots.
You can’t go wrong with all 3. I’d choose Montpellier out of the 3 personally
@@neilhupping9106 Thank you so much for these insights. I will be going to Montpellier in June for the first time to get a sense of the place. Aix looks very pretty and elegant in the videos. Have you been to the beaches near to Montpellier. I wonder how easy/difficult it is to go to Cote dÁzur and other places from Montpellier by train?
@@neilhupping9106 I lived in Lyon for a year once upon a time a very long time ago. I really liked it as a city, but I found it very hard to get to know people and I did not find it to be friendly. Also, too far from the sea for me and it was not very clean (issue of people not cleaning up after dogs) and a lot of smoking (and spitting) everywhere. However, the food was amazing and the city has lots of really nice events, plus the two rivers and Fourviere.
@@neilhupping9106how is Bordeaux? Have you been to that city?
Great list, some cities may be missing but I feel your list is really good. The best thing is putting Montpellier in number one. Lovely booming and comfortable city, a city with a vibe better than all the other cities for sure and it will change even more, for the better. 🌟
So beautiful 🤩 👍🏻🙋🏻♀️🌹🇫🇷
So beautiful
I like France its Cool!🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵
Thank you, very interesting 😊. You win some, you loose some.
Beautiful Nice
Good information
Love your videos....Please make video on bangladesh its a request
Beautiful I am here in thouars
Next video the best place to live in Sweden please
I like around the world.
👍👍
This video doesn't fit with the title : all the places named here are better for tourism than to live in (as in settling): the cost of life (mainly due to very high housing prices compared to many other smaller an lesser known places in France, 1 to 3 to 1 to 10 ratio). Lots of jobs? Not so much. Affordable? Definitely not.
Always 💖Fr and it’s no-nonsense people.
Nice video, but why did you use footage of Las Vegas at the end of the section on Paris?
OMG - Yes! Exactly at 2:58. Whoever put together this video is completely clueless!
To show that Vegas beats Paris in every aspect!
@@cineffectI doubt it
@@alluringbliss4165 I know it first hand.
fine viya
Just say French Riviera which covers any towns between Monaco until Marseille! Missing main ones Biarritz (Basque area), Annecy (lower Alpes),Perpignan (Mediterranean west coast), Saint Malo Britanny
and you missed Toulouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pedi vacaciones para descnsar era estresante tenia muchos poblemas mi familia es lo mas importante
Era diferente y podia ver pasaso presente y fituro
What is the monthly $ cost to live in Nice, for say a 1 bedroom? And 2 bedroom?
This video has NOTHING to do with living in these places.
Queria compartir tienpo valioso con mis familia y no podian
What about l'Auvergne ?
Couldn't finish watching the video as the music was overpowering the speaker - such a distraction.
Muchos me cerraban a puerta
It’s an odd list. Most of theses places are not affordable anymore. Paris, Nice, Lyon, Saint-Tropez, Really? Even Bordeaux and Montpellier are no longer very affordable.
What about Toulouse??
This video is definitely half-baked.
What do Cities like Paris, Nice and Saint Tropez do on a list of "affordable" Cities? Half of the list is not affordable.
Pls reaction on all 50 states of America pls pls.
All suck

Haha when the AI generated video shows Paris in Vegas.
I thought this video was supposed to be about "living" in France. The title should be changed to " ...visit in France...". Misleading.

This list is very biased toward Southern France.
I have to travel though France twice a year and found the food to be very poor and very expensive, we were racially abused by a waiter for not speaking perfect French !!!
During my visit to France food in restaurants was bad and expensive, French are not friendly if you don't speak perfect language.
@@tsun9845 alright it depends where you went and who you met. French ppl aren’t all rude about their language
I agree. West European food is generally very bad.
@@kittyblossom7342 Well, if you're looking for your usual food habits, you will obviously be disappointed. Especially in touristic places. Advice to avoid any shady restaurant in the world : if the menu offers a plethora of choices, don't go in it.
And always ask the local people for the best places. No YT video will be more precise about it than the people who are living in the place you're visiting
It used to be Paris that was famous for it’s surly waiters . It’s all part of Frances appeal , you haven’t really experienced france unless you’ve been subject to one of these bruts, he’s only slinging hash ffs he ain’t anyone , call him garçon and don’t leave a tip fuckem
Dont upset him before you get your food though or you will be eating his spit

What about being old with out problems.. you know us older people are wiser about problems we don’t give a fuck anymore😂😂😂😂
