  • What are the best cities to live in Europe? Had this ever happened to you? There are times when you arrive in a new location and instantly know: I want to make this my home. Traveling also causes one to reflect on his or her own life, including goals, aspirations, and the location of those goals.
"What keeps me in the place where I am now? Is it too late for me to make a change in my life right now? "At that point. You can hear yourself thinking! These ten places in Europe where we have already experienced this sensation are more than likely to catch you with their lifestyle, joy, or tranquilly; you will see how they seduce you via the kitchen; but above all, what will make you fall in love with them is their attitude and their people.
So, without further ado, let’s dive into the list of 10 best cities to live in Europe
    10. Edinburgh, Scotland
In addition to being a great destination to live, work, visit, and study; Edinburgh is also known for its high quality of life.
SmartSurvey identified Edinburgh as the happiest location to work in the United Kingdom in January 2021. Edinburgh was named one of the world's 20 most liveable cities by ECA International in February 2020, and one of the world's top 20 cities for wellbeing by ECA International in March 2021 based on characteristics such as happiness, healthcare, and access to green space.
Two of Edinburgh's most popular neighbourhoods have been recognised as some of the world's most desirable places to live in the 2020 Urbanism Awards: Portobello and Leith, the latter of which was ranked the fourth "coolest" in 2021 by Time Out.
    9. Warsaw, Poland
With its unique combination of the old and new, the city of Warsaw is divided into 18 districts, each with its own particular character and atmosphere. Warsaw's architectural diversity reflects the city's turbulent past and contributes to the city's thriving cultural scene, which includes both traditional and underground venues.
Warsaw's history, food, and overall quality of life have made it a more popular tourist destination, and the city's cheap cost of living adds to the allure. The cost of living in Warsaw is among the least costly of the 248 European cities, ranking in the bottom 20 percent.
    8. Istanbul, Turkey
As a crossroads of cultures and civilizations, Istanbul is a world-renowned Mediterranean metropolis that serves as a link between Europe and Asia, and a symbol of the region's dynamism. The city, which was once known as Constantinople in ancient Byzantium when it was founded in 657 BCE, has a unique combination of old history and rapid modernization, making it a favourite expat destination.
There are a lot of cultural shocks to be aware of while visiting Istanbul. First and foremost, expats should be aware that English is not widely spoken in Turkey, so it may be a good idea to brush up on a few basic Turkish words. The city has a more laid-back attitude toward timekeeping, and things tend to be less organised as a result.
Because of Istanbul's cheap cost of living, it is simple and reasonably priced to enjoy a good standard of living in a comfortable environment.
    7. Copenhagen, Denmark
According to the United Nations Happiness Index, Copenhagen, Denmark, is one of the cities in the world with the best overall quality of life. According to the United Nations' Happiness Index, it is the second happiest country in the world, after Finland.

I might well go to Europe, then Wyoming, cause most businesses and neighborhoods ,their saying white in Wyoming. We can survive winters and blood helps with that, black people love winter ❄️ too not always the sun or hot weather. ❤

Hi everyone, I’ve lived all my life in Lisbon, and I gotta say it’s really really hard to live here, we are the worst country in Europe when it comes to minimum wage and last year we were the top country in poverty rise. Prices of everything skyrocketed this year and wages only go up like 1 or 2€ a year. Not to mention the prince of land. House prices are in a all time high and our average for people to get out of their parents houses is 30… in Switzerland its 18 for example. Our young people are all leaving the country and it’s being a real problem. Yes it’s a beautiful country with the best weather and food in all Europe, people are nice and all that, but the quality of life is shit here. Please if you are thinking of coming here for a better life, I’m telling you there are better places

I’ve lived in Istanbul in 2021.
If you are coming from major cosmopolitan Asian, Australian, or European city, you clearly feel you’re doing a downgrade when you live in Istanbul.
The taxi services are the worst I’ve found among the 37 countries I’ve been fortunate to live in or visit.
40% of people I met there are the rudest. 40% are relatively polite. 20% are super nice.
We hardly find English speaking residents and if you are into international cuisine, finding it will be like finding a needle in a haystack.
The Anatolian side is less conservative but you still will hear muslim clerics summoning up faithful to pray five times a day, starting at 5am right next to your bedroom window.
Coffee shops are above the average in comparison to its American peers. Decent apartments are not cheap any longer and are hard to find.
On the other hand, the city is geographically well located, its scenery is world class, and you can get a Turkish citizenship if you invest in local real estate.
All in all, my experience showed me that İstanbul is a fascinating city to visit. To live, not so sure.

@@myra0224 What does it say on an English or Scottish person's passport? That they are British, meaning they are a citizen of the United Kingdom. It doesn't matter if it doesn't make some Scottish people happy because it's true the UK is a country. Also, the UK is in the UN (united nations) if the UK wasn't a nation, England and maybe Scotland would be in it as just England and Scotland. It's just more xenophobia to say it isn't a country. Also, I am not saying Scottish are the same as English. Just like Northern Spaniards are not the same as Catalans even though they share the same country.

    • @myra0224
      @myra0224 Рік тому

@@mrdth1987 A NATION is not the same as a COUNTRY.
The UK decided to join multiple countries together and join institutions like the UN or previously the EU. But isn't Scotland trying to get out of the UK? That's only possible because they're still a country on their own.
About Spain, if Catalonia for example decided to split from the rest of Spain, another country would come to exist. They're independent from that day on. If Scotland does the same, it doesn't form a new country as Scotland is already an independent country who just joined an institution aka the UK.
Being British, by the way, means you're a citizen of Great Britain, not the UK. because that's a whole other thing. If you can't even get that right, then don't even talk to me 😂
Also, fun fact, on our passports it says European Union as well, doesn't mean the EU is 1 country ☺️

    • @mrdth1987
      @mrdth1987 Рік тому

@@myra0224 The passports say the UK is a part of the European Union, not that our nationality is European.
No, that's not true at all. People from Northern Ireland are classed as British because they are a part of the UK. Plus, Great Britain is called Great Britain as it's the largest island in the British Isles. It means great as in large, not good, lol.
I know Scotland is a country, and Catalonia isn't. I just used it as an example of how different cultures and people can live in the same country, nothing more.
Yes, some Scottish want independence, but they haven't got it yet, so they are still a part of the country called the United Kingdom.
Also, just wondering who said the United Kingdom was a city? I must have missed that part.
And I have to go to work now so I can't reply to the next reply but I will when I get the time.
