If you guys r using the atoto 7we , make sure to use the 2 silver bracket mounts that come with it and attach it via 1 screw with the 2 black brackets mounts and u should be good
Is the steering wheel module universal? I bought the Atoto F7we and without the module (only installing with what came with the unit) I’ve lost all my steering wheel control/button which included my cruise control. 😢
thats an android unit correct? if it is then you dont need the module, you can wire it using the key wires from the radio to the ground pin and input wires required.
I have a Focus 2010 with factory subwoofer, do you think it will work? I am not sure if Crux SOOFD-27C Wiring Interface has a input for subwoofer. Also does it retain the car's default bluetooth and Microsoft Sync? If not is there a way to control those through a car stereo as well?
for that you will need the crux or other interface that will allow you to retain the sync and all other oem functions. not sure which they are but crux will tell you what each kit does. getting the proper kit should allow you to keep all oem features and add a few more
They may if you buy a wiring kit that allows you to keep those features. Its a microsoft sync system right? Metra or other aftermarket producers usually make kits that allow you to retain most oem feautures.
yes, it does. as long as you allow apple carplay access to your messages (even auto read) they will display and you can view them while using carplay. Its not the radio that allows it or not its carplay or android auto. I can confirm android auto does so im sure so will carplay. just go to your carplay setting to allow it to.
Hey man, es un gran video, muy ilustrativo, quiero hacerlo Pero en un Focus 2009, puedes pasar como van los conectores de los controles?!, saludos un fuerte abrazo
Hey man so I had a friend install a Kenwood dmx 4707s on my 2010 focus and everything was working fine until one day I turned on the car and the radio wouldn’t turn on and my car had been dying a lot so I bought a new battery and the radio turned on again and a couple days ago it did the same thing I turned on the car but the radio wouldn’t turn on anymore. Any idea what that could be?
have you checked the wiring of the radio? it could be a faulty ground or poeer wire. either your ground or switched power wire (red). try that and also check your radio fuse.
the installation kit I bought on amazon and the screen (radio) I had from my previous vehicle. you can buy it at a local car audio shop or online as well

Nice work, looks good.
Thanks! sure makes a difference. I am thinking of upgrading my speakers now to.
That sucks that Ford makes you practically disassemble the car to add a 3rd party radio.
I know, I hate having to dismantle half the car just to replacw the radio and fit an entire dash since they make the climate control all into one.

Why did you have to use an external mic and USB cable? the normal mic and USB port won't work after this install?
Oh, I see you don't have USB or a mic, ok. Do you know if the normal mic and usb port on my 2010 SES will work with this?

Great video I got the same car I need to do this
thanks, it sure make a difference when playing music. having bluetooth and now android auto is great.
Does the double din work with carplay and let you see your messages, music and maps?

What size screen is the Kenwood you used? I'm trying to do something similar in my 2011.
its a 7 inch screen as are most aftermarket radios. you can go bigger with a floating screen from kenwood or pioneer but a lot more expensive

What size radio is in there? Just curious so I don’t buy the wrong size radio
this is a 7" radio. most aftermarket radios are the same size. Most double din radios are the same like kenwood, sony, pioneer, etc.
You don't have to undo any screws at the steering wheel, that little panel will pop off enough to remove the radio trim piece
I didnt want to take my changes and crack or break the panel. wasnt hard to remove the two screws and better safe than sorry
Great video
Thanks!
where did you buy the installation kit and the screen
the installation kit I bought on amazon and the screen (radio) I had from my previous vehicle. you can buy it at a local car audio shop or online as well
Will this work on an ‘09 Ford Focus as well?
im sure it will, same gen focus so it should.
So did you buy a new panel for the car to put everything onto
correct, when replacing the oem radio you will need a dash kit to install the new radio
