Frame flex is an rvers worst nightmare. Glad Affinity could get you fixed up. The joys of owning an rv 😂. You guys always spoke so highly of theat place and I can see why. Rig looks great!
Water will absolutely destroy an RV. We take our rig back to Riverstone every year for its annual checkup money well spent. They know the rig and they have all the parts to repair. So far we have not found any frame damage on our rig. 6:00 a.m. yay. The RV should be brand new. Thanks for all the update.
Wow. That was awesome. I’m happy that lippert and keystone went good for the repairs. We had the same issue with the floor in our Alpine. The braces for the floor were all bent. Keystone wouldn’t pay for the repairs. Because we live so far from any service centre that could do the work our insurance company decided to right off our Alpine. Then we had to go trailer shopping
Yeah, they were pretty cool about it. We had to work around the shop and how busy they were. We hope it helps educate people on how their RV's are built and what to look for.
100%, I have a 2017 Dutchman Denali that is the worst built POS ever. Its sad how poorly this thing was put together and it has literally fallen apart over the years with very few miles on it. I bet it has less then 5k miles on it. The rear wall and left rear wall both have separated from the floor, the kitchen slide lower frame busted and the wall bulges out when the slide is in about 4 inches, you can see the ground when inside looking at that area. The bedroom slide has always leaked when open or closed, not sure how or why it leaks and I can't seem to stop it. I keep it under a cover when not in use so not a huge deal and when camping I put a towel where it leaks onto the bathroom floor to soak up the water. Its sad, luckily I got the RV for a good price and paid cash for it about 6 years ago. It was 1 year old. I'm ready to move on though.
Great point of view. After the fact, and now that we have had time to ponder. We think that another contributing cause was the bow in the floor and the out riggers bending. That caused the wall (that was sitting on it) to sink about 1/2 inch, combined with the slide moving in and out, those welds didn't stand a chance. Thanks for watching!
@ we have our rig (different brand) in for the same issue currently. One of the more frustrating issues to have in my eyes. We took everything out from under our bed now to prevent any other issues. But we saw the new gussets put in and what they fixed, so that’s good. Hopefully manufacturers just add that extra strength from factory now. Good work on showing the actual issue from “inside” the wall. We missed them actually taking the wall and front cap off 😂
Glad you guys got the rig fixed! I know how stressful it can be. We can't wait to see you all in a few months!--Jen
Heck yeah!! Mexican Train time!!!
That is a lot of work being done on the rig glad Affinity took care of you guys and hopefully no more issues.
@@thisisouradventure They got a bunch done in a short time for sure. We hope so too.
Glad you guys are fixed and back on the road!
We are too! Glad you two are back traveling again too

They are our favorite. Buy an Rv it will be great , they said! 🤣 Definitely learned a bunch more about containing the water

@@HetteshWorld Yes the water on one of those was a surprise. Never a good thing. Thanks for watching!!!
I hate when we have to get things fixed 😒 but it's good to know it's getting fixed right, looks like they know what they are doing 😊
@@lifewithlennie yeah those guys and girls are the best of the best
So glad to see you got all fixed up!
Us too! Glad to be back on the road again.
We have put a lot of money in our 10 year old RV THIS year. It's hard to let go. But maybe it's time. Nice video.
@@TrekkingwithDebandMike We have been lucky and most things have been under warranty. Thanks for watching!

Oh wow! We hate to hear that. They were a bit slow to respond but it finally went through
Nice they let you film the work.

So in summation... Bring it to the warranty center so it can be built the way it SHOULD have been built on the factory floor.
It does seem that way.

Great job on the video. We’ve had similar repairs done by Affinity as well.
@@rventureawaits Thank you! They are the best in the business
That’s not frame flex. That’s that aluminum framing not being strong enough for the torque of the Schwintek slide.
