Are you doing a Baldurs Gate 3 skeptical review?
On the DLC front, Halo Infinite promised campaign DLC and thats been canceld. So I think theres something in Microsofts End User agreement that allows them to make these "promises".
Use promo code "REDFALL" lol that is funny you used that as a code for this video's advertisement.
Luke will find the one hate comment with no engagement and be like, “yeah imma make a video on that topic” 😅 hey it works, let him cook
Give me a promo code for not buying this garbage game, thank you! :)
They didn't fix the $70 price either, it's been a game-breaking bug since launch
This actually made me lol
LMFAO
That makes no sense. I picked up Cyberpunk months after launch for $35.
If only GamePass existed…oh wait

This could’ve been a really cool spooky game to play for the fall season. It’s a shame it didn’t pan out
Could have been cool how exactly? Genuinely curious, cause I find random guys on UA-cam having better ideas or concepts than the actual dev teams.
Now it's spooky but for more tragic reasons
@@r.e.z9428 I (personally) like the vibe they were going for. Supernatural events, cultists, a New England coastal town, fighting monsters, are all things I like. I also liked “A sinking city” for the same reasons. So I think the idea they had, or at least the idea they wanted, could have been cool
Spooky season is all year
common sense/captain obvious/nothing burger statements are always a drag
Quirky writing is so hard to pull off, you're much more likely to fumble and drop the ball than you are to nail it. I hate that so many writers use the "haha, so random, XD" style of meme comedy from 2012 as some sort of crutch and are too afraid to write a story with relatable themes and characters we want to spend time with, it's honestly pretty telling.
Yup, spot on. Written by committee. Saints Row and Forspokem were also written in this style, in my opinion. Strange. Hopefully it's a trend that ends soon.
@@heroicmythos8002 yeah,Aloy from horizon zero dawn was kind of bland but at least she wasn't annoying. When badly written these quippy characters become unsufferable very quickly. Even Borderlands 2 that arguably did the quippy/quirky dialogue "well" can become grating after a while.
The humor is Dead Island 2 was pretty great.
Character, giving motivational speech about a character named Randy in a movie who saves the day: “I need you to be Randy…for all of us!”
Pit People pulls it off well, pretty funny but also an amazing strategy game.
What happened to the Seb show season 2???
The game looks like what I imagine my first attempt at making an unreal engine/unity game would look like. A big, empty space with enemies dotted around just standing there waiting to be shot. Can't believe this was made by an actual studio and not just some dude in a bedroom.
Let's be real no dev can make a game like this alone, as buggy as it is.
Lmao let's be real this games shit but I sincerely doubt you'd make anything half as good as Redfall alone
@@LiveEnd06 why not? The only thing somewhat impressive about the game is the graphics. Take those away and you have nothing. You forget about games like Battle bit remastered that absolutely destroy modern battlefield games while looking like roblox visually.
I can't believe it turned out the way it did. This is the studio that made Dishonored and Prey! What the hell happened?!
@@LiveEnd06checkout bright memory infinite. Made by a solo dev. Its short but got amazing performance and gameplay.
People acting as if the game would have been great if it came out bug free. I still didn’t see the appeal, the characters and dialogue already had me more than hesitant and the trailers also didn’t help.
The childish dialogue and Fortnite-esque art style in the trailer had me nope out straight away.
@@josie_the_valkyrie Characters that seemed to fit right in with that trash Saints Row reboot.
@@josie_the_valkyrie Same.
I'm really gonna miss the old Arkane. Considering that we now know that about 70% of the people that worked on Prey left during the development of Redfall, I feel like the damage to the studio is irreversible at this point. Redfall was a bad idea from the start, and maybe it could've been salvaged if they'd done a total 180 during development to turn it into another true singleplayer immersive sim. At this point, it's way, way too late.
I have zero hope for Dishonored 3 (if it's even happening)...and it's one of my favorite series
@@funtourhawk that team that made dishonored 2/doto and deathloop is a separate team to the one that made prey and redfall
ngl, i wasnt as big a fan of Dishonored 2 as 1. I lost hope in Arkane after Dishonored 2 because it just didn’t have that magic the first did.
@@ZtinkyBones try d2 refusing the outsider’s mark and it’ll totally change your mind. Level design is just-
That's the Zenimax/Bethesda obsession with open world sand boxes and shoving MTX/DLC in wherever they can (multilayer provides an even better opportunity for those). Carefully crafted, story and atmosphere focused smaller or more linear games have been almost wiped out from big publishers releases.
Love how you go back and play these games again to see if they play better. Really cool for content.
I agree
Yeah I like seeing horrendous games played years after to see if they are good. Love the idea. (not sarcasm btw)
It's crazy to me that someone is trying to pull the "um ur just hate farming durr" card on you. You're one of the VERY few reviewers that gives a game _every_ benefit of the doubt, no matter what the general public is saying about the game.
Keep up the good work, Luke 👍
I'm still baffled how Redfall even survived the pitch meeting.
"Okay guys, our next game will be an open world immersive sim, but it will also be a 4 player co-op twitch shooter where you kill vampires. Also it's Always Online Only, and there's no active matchmaking or drop in/drop out Co-op in the game despite that."
I believe there is evidence that the game we got was a complete redo from what they were originally working on. Something about contract issues and the acquisition. Been a while but I know there are a few vis about it on UA-cam. Basically we got a game that took them a little over a year to make vs a game they had already been working on for years.
Dishonored was one of my favorite immersive sim rpgs of all time, I LOVED the cultural background of the world, i watched the behind the scenes interviews and how they drew inspiration from celtic Triskle in their symbols and pirates folklore.. I was amazed at Dishonored 2 by the details in the environment with how improved the graphics were and how consistent the story was with the old dlcs...
Redfall was not only a disappointing game, but another proof of how in such uncertain times there are no quality assurances anymore. A brand name is empty for no work ethic remains the same from one project to the next. The market is both unpredictable and hysterical and only the finished product can be judged. It is sad but a lesson for any that care to learn from their hopes and dreams, both as a consumer and as a developer
Dishonored was made by the studio in Lyon, France under the direction of Raphael Colantonio and Harvey Smith while Redfall was made in Austin, Texas. Colantonio recently left the studio in France and Smith took over, though apparently he provided some degree of direction for Austin at the same time as well.
With the approach of Fall, I was honestly considering coming back due to it's vibrant Autumnal colours & sleepy American hamlet vibes. Then I realised that Oh, NO ONE has talked about this game since release. Which means it was completely abandoned. So I very quickly changed my mind, downloaded Short Hike, Firewatch, Coffee Talk & Costume Quest. It's a shame too as this could have been the easy pick for a comfy, slightly spooky Halloween title.. But they just butchered it so badly and when they had the chance to do something about it, they instantly backed out. Considering this and Deathloop, my love of Arkane has very much vanished.
I just downloaded Firewatch! Forgot all about that game. No reason I haven't played it by now, but super excited to play it, once I get bored with Starfield or the fall vibes get to be too much to resist
Officially the game was completed. Full story, full world, and all. It's so damn small you wouldn't know, but the "plot" (heh, saying this game has a plot) comes to a resolution, so all they'd do is patch fixes and DLC, and why do that when you've already got your money, right?
It's nice to see one of my favorite dev studios become a shell of its former self.
Happens with age, at some point they're all but name only, just a brand and nothing more.
You really just never see that these days! So refreshing!
This isn't a jab at all young game developers but it seems to me that once all of the older devs retired or left for other ventures a lot of the younger crowd of devs that take their place are out of touch with a good portion of gamers. I think a lot of them forget or just don't care that a decent portion of gamers are older (of which there are a lot) and these older gamers don't really vibe with some of the aspects of new culture and styles that these younger devs are incorporating into today's games. Personally I think these devs need to take that into account and maybe try to find a happy medium somehow. I mean, I think that's obvious when you take into account games like Saints Row Repoop and For(skin)spoken. It wasn't just bad gameplay mechanics and bugs that made them fail. Especially with Saints Row. While there are obviously young fans of Saints Row the huge majority are going to be the now older adult gamers who grew up playing the franchise. There were some idiotic choices from higher up in Deep Silver and with-in the devs to market the game solely to a younger demographic. I think even most younger gamers found those characters extremely cringe AF. Unfortunately we live in a time where a lot of these devs/studios can't help but not only insert themselves into the game but also current cultural beliefs. These are the very things that most gamers are trying to escape when they play a game. Its fine if they do that and the game is marketed that way but to have that stuff in fantasy games just kills the escapism.
Its just one game, and a game Arkane didnt even want to release at that. If anything, this might get Arkane backk on track as these sorts of games arent theyre forte.
@@chrislester3662 Except that 7/10 people who made Prey left Arkane during Redfalls development
I remember Battleborn. Got the deluxe Version where they also promised up to 10 more heroes.
I know they released 1 or 2 before they shut down the game entirely.
Money down the drain
@@soraceant yes, while I liked the game, sadly a lot of lost money.
There should have been the possibility to let the campaign stay offline or with friends in coop but alas, didn't happen.
It's so funny that Battleborn was killed by bad marketing alongside with Overwatch launching, and it was what OW2 promissed and never delivered LOL
@Cuestrupaster it almost feels like if they just relaunched the game on the premise "we've got what Blizzard lied to you about," they'd probably stand a good chance of success.
@@Mythda Honestly... true.
The 17 Redfall players left are a different breed of gamers. Telling themselves it's a good game while also staunchly holding on to the hope that it'll get fixed.
It's dead, Jim.
The reason DLSS was actually hurting performance was because you were actually CPU limited rather than GPU limited. DLSS lowers internal resolution which frees up resource on the GPU, but actually slightly increases utilisation on the CPU, hence losing frames.
You can often tell when you're CPU limited when your GPU utilisation isn't consistently hitting or near 100%. if this is ever the case dont use upscaling. DLSS frame gen on the other hand CAN help when CPU bottlenecked, just DLSS upscaling and FSR wont.
This. That'll be common when you're running a $1,800 graphics card that the GPU is outpacing the CPU in select titles.
Come on man. You're giving a "Content creator" too much credit. Why would they remotely do any research into; what these things do when throwing money at cards for no reason but having lesser hardware elsewhere in the build.
Seeing shit like this more and more.
You''re saying that a 5950x is bottlenecking a 3080?
Hey, after No Man's Sky, I swear that any major developers should be able to fix their games especially those that were mismanaged like this one.
But this won't happen, closing studios and shutting down games make more sense to the big wigs in control (the same one that orchestrated the failure).
I mean, why release free patch fixes and updates that took months to work on when you can charge money for said updates : )
(Looking at you Diablo IV and your rumored "paid expansion pack")
Also a problem is that Redfall was not really as desired as No Mans Sky or Cyberpunk so why spend the money to bring it to standard
No Mans Sky is still garbage!
@@jack90054 LoD and RoS were paid expansions, how would D4 having a paid expansion be shocking? You have to be 13 to have a UA-cam account, do your parents know you're on here?
It all depends what you're trying to achieve. Hello Games wanted to restore their reputation and they've succeeded. When they announce a new game, people will be excited about it whereas if they quickly gave up on NMS, they might as well just shut the doors as no-one would go near any of their games again.
Similarly with Cyberpunk - it destroyed CD Projekt's reputation which prior to that game, was extremely good. They had to continue working on the game to earn trust back.
Other developers/publishers don't care so much. I'm sure Arkane would have liked to fix this game but Bethesda most likely called the shots here and their reputation is crap already. Everyone knows that when you see the word "Bethesda" as a game loads up, you're going to see poor performance and lots of bugs.
Summoning your wifes boyfriend to fight for you has to be the most millenial game mechanic.
maybe the one of the devs found himself in that situation and thought it'd be cool to put that in the game 😂
But that isn't at all what's happening there.
Wife’s boyfriend ?
It's honestly a bit impressive to me that they managed to make a game that was supposed to be Left 4 Dead but with vampires as boring as they did
There are so many things they could've drawn from that mythos that pretty much makes the enemy variety built-in to the core premise
I love that you regularly clickbait in the title, then answer it in the thumbnail. It feels so genuine comparative to a lot of creators. You get the perk of working the algorithm with the title, but we get the payoff immediately
He’s one of the best reviewers
He's a male Karen...
I actually noticed that as well. Definitely pretty neat!
@@DualerOne1I don’t think you understand what a Karen is.
It's not really clickbait if he awnsers the question in the thumbnail.
Luke said, " I think REDFALL just broke my brain" .... Dev. said, Oh... no... that's a bug fix.
It did just come out in May.
But i never expected them to "fix" this game because it has like 3 people playing on steam.
Me and my friend was excited about this one, we expected it to be like a L4D vampire game. We didn’t watch a single gameplay just the trailer that gave the vibe. My first thoughts when I got to play this was “not another open world” as I was really hoping for just an A to B game. But that shouldn’t have been my first complaint. Played this game for about 2 hours and can honestly say after the empty experience as me and my friend couldn’t find a single enemy after looting so many houses! When it crashed after the 2 hours I uninstalled.
It's a kids game with fornite styled graphics and the scares of the adams family and the depth of a mobile game.
Tried it for 30 minutes and just after the fire station you're immediately reminded how transparent and shallow the whole plot is.
“Go. Go without me…it’s better this way.” ~Redfall
What’s sad is that there are still people swearing up and down that this game is amazing and that anyone who doesn’t like it is simply a hater.
I don’t have a problem with people enjoying bad games (I’m a Neptunia fan myself and those games aren’t exactly amazing), but I do have a problem with people making the claim the bad game is not at fault for being a bad game.
You are CPU limited in this game. The game uses a single master thread and then only a few other threads on the CPU.
At native you can see your GPU is only at around 70% usage, then when you enable DLSS the resolution drops and so does your GPU usage. The GPU is waiting for the CPU to send it new frames to render, DLSS only adds more performance if you are GPU limited (aka 99% GPU usage).
Try using DLAA, this renders at native resolution but uses DLSS as TAA and can produce better image quality than native TAA and it could help push the GPU usage up higher.
Are you afraid someday you'll play a game so bad it will kill you?
If gollum couldn't, then I'm not sure what could. Maybe a game specifically designed to cause seizures?
@robotswithryan8348 That title belongs to E.T. That game almost killed the gaming industry. Everybody hated working on it, and they dumped the remaining copies in a landfill.
Cant turn on the fun either
I wanted a deep rock galactic level of loadout customization. I thought it was going to be a vampire hoarde shooter/open world but it’s just really bad borderlands so I never touched it. Going too broad makes your whole game just paper thin
Regarding DLSS: If you use it while limited by the CPU at native resolution (as Luke is in this case as seen by the GPU usage being low) you get no performance increase by using DLSS. In some cases, like this one, you even see a slight decrease in performance since DLSS also takes some time to run.
If Luke wants better performance in this game he needs to either lower settings that impact the CPU, OC his CPU/ram or upgrade his CPU/ram.
"If Luke wants better performance in this game he needs to either lower settings that impact the CPU, OC his CPU/ram or upgrade his CPU/ram."
And that is the problem. This game and its graphics should not warrant such a hardware requirement. Its ludicrous.
@@travisadams6279 No see the problem is this is an all around this for ANY situation with an overpowered GPU matched with a CPU that can't handle the power and work in tandem.
@@Lecruidant I know, its called a bottleneck.
With BG3, Starfield, the Cyberpunk overhaul and expansion, new Assassin’s Creed, and Spider-Man 2, Redfall is gonna be sitting at the bottom of the ocean alongside titles like Forsaken.
This game really should have relesed on halloween. It would have made way more sense and the devlopers would have more time in the oven
And they could have claimed it was a trick
The developers should be put in an oven for sure.
This game had me and my brother excited, I mean, what’s more cozy spooky feeling than a game set in Massachusetts in the middle of fall and you have kill vampires? That’s so fucking cool but they massacred it

The 2nd rambling, about the first rambling, was the best rambling!
3-4 months of radio silence I feel that while I've been waiting on news for silksong for what feels like 2 years
Of course it's not fixed and why would they fix it, it's a game they didn't even wanna make. It can't be salvaged
i think one of the issues with redfalls performance is all the blood fog around, which seems to be what i found back when i played, considering how dense it is, due to it being a particle system, say instead of a floating png like some other games use and stack, making it CHUG real hard when it has to load all the fog in at times, thats my theory anyway.
Like most Unreal Engine games, you are more likely to reach a CPU bottleneck than a GPU one, hence why DLSS does nothing in this game and why the Atomic Heart PR saying "Use DLSS to offset any performance difference from Denuvo" makes zero sense.
Having a CPU bottleneck while running a 12900K in 4K is crazy. No excuses for that one
Didn't expect a divine intervention would happened to someone because of Redfall. 😂

4:00 I have never played a game where “quality” mode has ever made a game better quality. The only guess I can make as to why it’s there at all, is for photo modes.
The whole "it will be good eventually" just sounds the same excuse of "it will get good after X hours". If it is going to be good after that, why not from the start.
Wouldn't this have been better to hold off until they actually put out a big update? Pete Hines said they were working on fixing it a week or so ago, so I doubt it'd be fixed by now.
They had 4 months to implement a big update.

@@Meowtro Bruh it's been 4 months since the game released, clearly they aren't going back to the game to fix it, and even if they go back to the game at all, it won't be to fix it properly. At most they do 60 fps and some shit DLC
Last update for Redfall was in June, 1 update and 2 hotfixes .Game feels abandoned.
Wow, did not expect an interesting deep dive into Titanic plot holes! 😄
For what its worth i enjoyed your side-rant about Titanic and glad that it stayed in.
You’re getting worse performance with DLSS because the game is cpu bottlenecked at that framerate while lowering resolution lowers the amount of work for the GPU, so lowering resolution doesn’t change performance.
Also, DLSS adds a bit of work to the cpu, which is why it runs a bit worse. Being cpu bottlenecked is very common in open world games with huge GPUs like you’re at high framerates. Also, you can enable DLAA instead of TAA, it’s much better.
You can see your GPU usage is at around 70-80%, only turn on DLSS when your GPU is at 98-99%. Cpu bottlenecks are different as your cpu son’t use all cores to 100% percent but might be limited by one core that is fully maxed out.
Luke is definitely a masochist, going back to Redfall, Gollum, etc. 😂
Don't forget about the student dept.
Man modern humour sucks.
So far, in the last year, I have this, Saints Row and Dead Island 2 on my list of, games who made a student debt joke
Nothing more iconic than Bethesda and terrible launches 🤣🤣
I love the idea of an eastern coastal town with weird vampire stuff going on. Heck Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated did this suuuuuper well in a TV show form. Making it single player focused with optional co-op element could have been so much fun. The artstyle is neat and the idea of the town frozen in time is cool. Maybe the town should be populated with mystery solving elements then when shit hits the fan the town freezes and the townsfolk are no where to be seen. That sounds like a game id play. But nope...we can't have creativity anymore. We need to maximize our profits and god forbid we dont meet these huge goals.
17:27 BRO THAT WAS AMAZING
I like the rambling. It was a fair point as well. Obviously it's situational whether rambling is fun or gets in the way. If you've ever watched any of Simon Whistler's stuff where he cold reads a script but then goes off on his own tangents, it's entertaining 90% of the time but sometimes you just want him to get the f on with it, usually when the script gets to a "And the killer is ...." type cliffhanger moment. Also, rambling proves you're not AI.
They are not obligated to do DLC, gotta read the fine print in that picture you showed at 20:07. 'Content subject to change' aka 'Content subject to never exist if we want'.
To everyone: the new update has 60fps on Xbox and fixed a ton of things. So we need ANOTHER recoverage I guess? 😂
You know how much this is a sign when Microsoft Phil and Bethesda lied about fixing Redfall…yeah…they might not even work on fixing Starfield.
Fixing what? Like I haven't even run into the usual Bethesda bugs
@@FlyXcur it’s not just the bugs there’s inventory problems, travel problems since you can’t get back to your ship quick with your jetpack you pretty much need a vehicle or a Mount, AI issues the AI’s stupid enough to easily get bamboozled and literally get fooled by putting a pot over their head and it won’t count for stealing and getting spotted, lack of any big interesting weapons that does something. Lack of recoil for weapons they feel floaty, UI, the AI generator since there’s times where it keeps giving you the same facility that you already raided but in a different location, animation problems where the AI’s talks to you in a different view since they usually for some reason have their heads turned towards the left thinking you’re talking on the other angle when you’re not, AI reactivity since you can literally shoot and blow stuff up Willy nilly as long as you don’t hit someone which is pretty dumb and silly when you have Skyrim and the guards reacts to you when you start shouting and demands you to stop, I don’t think shooting in a crowd out in the open should warrant people to walk around casually and think it’s normal, even aiming a gun at someone is somehow considered as normal and the NPC doesn’t react to shoving a gun barrel up their face or gets super weird with the facial animations bc of that they look at you dead panned in the face it gets as bad as Andromeda. Same with the dialogues.
@@jamesvarela233 inventory problems? If you can't fast travel from being over encumbered that's your own fault otherwise you can always open the scanner and fast travel back to the ship or any other found location in any landing site or city. The game isn't meant to have to walk everywhere you walk to the location once and if you ever need to go back you fast travel. Bethesda ai have always been stupid and always will be so that's to be expected. No one was thinking about having the best combat known to man cause that's not what Bethesda rpgs are for. They set up the basics so that it's all passable and it fairly is. Hotboxes work as intended weapons hit scan correctly only issue with combat I personally have is headshots don't matter but that's negligible since again this is a Bethesda game. People like you have been raising your expectations for a studio that never promised what you're expecting to be delivered. The exploration of planets are the only thing they've lied about but even that is something that isn't a big deal to me because I'm not trying to walk across an actual planet of barren wasteland
They're never gonna fix this. This game has absolutely nothing that's worth expending on. They're gonna drop the DLC and then move the fuck on to something new.

"Ur just hate farming" could be a great metaphor to the healthy, not disable people who are so lazy, they didn't wanted to work 9-5 office job in the "dehumanizing" cramped, cubicle, desk in front of a screen, but for gaming.
Kinda like modern day twitch streamer, but without having to see the sunlight or people.
I found that review 15:40 on steam and gave him all the awards I could.
:P
I gave this game another chance but ended up deleting it after 30min
It’s really bad imo
If we lead off complaining about 90FPS in 4K, you've already lost.
Why are the doors in Luke's study half the width of a normal door?
The GPU was using only 60% of its capacity, which indicates that it was not the main factor affecting the game’s performance. Enabling DLSS increased the time it took to render each frame, which resulted in lower performance. The actual bottleneck could be another hardware component, or more likely, the game engine itself and how it was optimized.
It has 13 players right now on Steam as of writing it, LOL...
It only hit a peak of 6,124. Stellaris has over 15,800 players at the moment, and even Age of Wonders 4 has 1,398.
I'll never be able to take Titanic seriously as a film after this video
On your point about Rose and Jack and the Titanic, you should research something called "telegony" and "microchimerism". Very interesting implications! There is that old adage, that you never forget your first.
Spent months looking forward to this game, and honestly would still consider buying it if it was like $15. The setting was such a cool idea, very Stephen King / 30 Days of Night-esque... I have a pretty decent rig but I'd be happy to not have everything on ultra if it meant getting around 90 fps. Still, I really wish they'd just fix it in full, get DLSS locked in, etc.
I saw no technical issues with the game from your video. No visual glitches, no crashes, no major framrate issues. What are you talking about my man?
The Yellow stripes are called the nono lines
The fact that this video is 31 min tho.
Thanks again for doing the dirty work for us.
Man, this could've been a cool game if they focused more on survival-horror rather than a looter shooter. An eternal night in a city trap in time as you slowly crawl through it while vampires and madmen roam the city.
I wish they focused on the setting even a little! Why set a game in New England if all the protagonists are snarky out of town zoomers! None of the npcs even have accents it’s such a good setting for horror too
Anybody asking you about Redfall is a viral marketing plant
Ironic that Pete Hines said they would continue to update Redfall and add an 60fps mode for Xbox and yet the last patch was months ago.
All you have to do is see the updates it receives after launch and you will know its not fixed and won't be anytime soon.
Anyone who saw the game could tell it needs at least a year of development before it becomes a decent game. So my guess is sometime in summer next year we will get 60FPS. Lots of bug fixes and some systems overhauls.
Luke has never read Siddhartha, I highly recommend it. It’s a great book
Would mind looking into Palia made by Singularity 6? They were founded by ex blizzard/riot employees and it's a dumpsterfire. An open beta with microtransactions, and premium outfits are released with every major patch while bugs break the game and they are releasing broken quests and content. I would gladly help you with the research as was an avid player of Palia who has now stopped playing the majority of the time because they aren't listening to us players at all.
This is why I don't touch live service games anymore until they're several months in.
Triple A has been pooping out so many dead-on-arrival wannabe forever games that get abandoned 5 days after launch when the playerbase doesn't magically decide to play the game religiously despite it being a minimum value product that buying one feels less like a gamble and more like charity.
Giving a studio money on a bare-bones proof of concept sandbox environment in the hopes that they'll actually work on it until it's actually good.
i personally didnt mind the game, it was pretty fun with a dumb story and mediocre boss fights. The reason I hated it is because I got used to the bad performance but one of the final areas of the game renders perfectly and it handles so well that it makes it seem like they could fix the game and just chose not to.
they said they will fix the game before moving to a new project
Counterpoint to the Titanic love conundrum- we don’t know if Rose ever remarried. Yeah she had a daughter but that could’ve been out of wedlock. Even if she did remarry, they could’ve later divorced.
According to Phil Spencer this must be the most supported Xbox game ever
man luke you really "hate farmed" this game
Cats was saying this was going to be game of the year earlier this year
The only reason that I KIND of agree with whoever left that comment is because you don't give games NEARLY ENOUGH time before checking back in.
When a game launches in a foundationally broken/unfinished state, you've got to give them AT LEAST 6 months to year before "checking back in" to see if they fixed things.
For example, if you had checked in on Cyberpunk 3 months after it's release, it still would have been an entirely broken and buggy mess... and think about No Man's Sky. Had you waited just a couple of months post-release, the game would have been the exact same.
Moving forward, it might be a better idea to actually wait until an expansion or wait until you're hearing noise about the game being in a better place...
Unless you goal is to just say "Remember this shitty game that came out a few months ago? Well it's still shitty!", like we didn't already know that.
I was trying to figure out his voice for a couple of weeks, and it suddenly hit me. He kinda sounds like Jason Lee from my name is earl
I’d like to see a revisit to Dying Light 2. I think it’s in a much better state now gameplay-wise.
That studio is owned by Tencent now and has aggressive microtransactions as usual from what I've read.
@@Maartwoyeah I’ve seen that and it’s pretty unfortunate. Gameplay-wise though, Techland has put in a couple overhauls that make the game feel and play much better imo. Worth a revisit for both the gameplay changes and the Tencent stuff.
Idk man, I like dunking bad games into the ground as much as the next person. But this just feels like really low hanging fruit here.
Was unfortunate enough to buy this with a freind :(.
I am fully convinced this game Will never be finished, and im just waiting for the studio to be shut Down or split to atoms. Their silence proves, that Nobody wants anything to do with this game
This is unrelated, but I was just curious if you know the current Slime Rancher 2 situation and, if so, what are your thoughts on it.
