    Great demo. people talk to much and no show. Less talk best for a demo. You turned each control and we could hear what it does. Then you did different combinations for us. I don't like when others tell us oh this is how I set it and talk about the controls. we want to hear it. Great job man. 👏👏👏👍

    Excellent review! I'm not impressed with the pedal itself. Good for the money, but nothing to rave over. But your review style is dead on. Play the same thing through different settings to hear what the equipment can do and the different sounds/tones you can get. Thank you, great job!

      Eranaor : Update; I watched a video of a head to head comparison of the Behringer against the Tech21 bass SansAmp, and I must admit I have changed my opinion. Most people use the SansAmp, and though it seems to be better made and much sturdier, soundwise there was very little difference, mostly with the Behringer being bassier. Though at first I said I was not impressed, your demo made me search further and I must say, for the low price the Behringer is a great product! Pretty sure I'm going to get one now! Again, thanks for your great demo that made me think about this product in the first place!

    Yes, this pedal can do what you want. Just remember that the pedal must have a 9v power supply. Since you told that you play a lot I suggest you to look at the "Sansamp Bass Driver DI", because it has the same functions of the BDI 21 and can be powered by phantom power which your mixer has. In addition the Sansamp seems to be more reliable than the BDI 21, but more expensive too.

  • @eranaor89

    @leandroxyz
    Não entendi a sua crítica, em nenhum momento eu expressei qualquer comparação entre o bass graphic equalizer e o BDI, além do mais a proposta dos pedais é bem diferente, o bass graphic equalizer é um equalizador de 7 bandas com 15 dB boost/cut, o BDI é um preamp, DI com apenas um controle de grave e agudo.

    I couldn't tell you if this pedal will give that sound, but I could make some points. 1º Not only the pedal, but all setup is in the final result, I mean the tone you hear in the video. The bass he is using is a Fender Highway One, the amp I don't know. 2º He is using a pick, that really help to give that popping sound. 3º The BDI21 is a copy of the Sansamp Bass Driver DI, but how close it come to the original I can't tell, because I never try the Sansamp. Continue in the next answer...

    Fico feliz, essa é a ideia, demonstrar o pedal para que a pessoa não precise comprar para ter uma noção do timbre.

  • @eranaor89
    @eranaor89  12 років тому

    I think you don't understand. If your mixer have phantom power or not, the pedal has no way to be fed via phantom. This pedal is an amp simulator, so if you want record the bass or just plug in and has no amp, the pedal might come in handy. But if you want to do that via phantom, this pedal won't do it. An example of a pedal that can do it and be fed via phantom is the "Sansamp Bass Driver DI" from where the BDI was copied.

  • @eranaor89
    @eranaor89  12 років тому

    Hi! I think there's no concern about plastic, don't remember any hiss from DI, just the normal noise of high settings on drive knob. About shape and boost it does fine, except for the fact I don't know exactly what you looking for. I can say that the pedal give some kind of "body" to the sound.

  • @eranaor89
    @eranaor89  12 років тому

    Your english is just fine, you just miss the knob word. This pedal is one of the cheapest that I know, so I think you'll won't find any cheaper one. If your only goal is the presence knob, needs to be it, but if you want some tone shape I suggest you to try the ADI21, it's for acoustic but can be used in bass too. With the ADI you have treble, bass, mid and mid frequency which gives you a wide range of tones.

  • @eranaor89
    @eranaor89  12 років тому

    There's some hiss when the treble, drive and presence knob's are set in high levels. I think it's normal in this kind of pedal, but I suggest you to test it before buy to hear if the hiss is acceptable to your taste.

    I'm not sure if I understand. You like to know if you need an additional pedal to make it work? If that's the question, no. You just need two cables and a 9v battery or power supply.

  • @Christianonbass

    Thank you! That is exactly the kind of demo I was hoping to find...someone playing steadily while trying out the controls. Your demo answered my questions :) Well, there is one: Do you plug into the active or passive input on your amp when using this pedal (if you have that feature)?

    • @eranaor89
      @eranaor89  Рік тому

      The pedal itself has no influence on this. If your bass is active plug on the active input and so on. Sorry for the late response I was away from the channel for years. I just returned last month.

    Great video and playing.What do you recommend the settings for Geddy.Lee tone on Behringer ?

    • @eranaor89
      @eranaor89  Рік тому

      Geddy Lee's tone is more related to the bass and his technique than the pedal. It's hard to recomend a setting because your bass, your amp and your technique will be different but as a general advice I would put the song you want to emulate and try each knob at a time boost and cut and try to hear wheter your tone is getting closer or farther. Sorry for the late response I was away from the channel for years. I just returned last month.

    • @eranaor89
      @eranaor89  9 років тому

      RayRay XD The sound guy can always lower your volume, what you could do is to set the pedal as a volume booster and keep it off, when the sound guy lower your volume you turn the pedal on. However I'm sure there are better booster pedals than this one or you could use a volume pedal where you can raise the volume gradatively.

    so i'm the bassist in a 3 piece band. sometimes i'm gonna have to hold over the entire rhythm section (cept for drummer, but that's different). I need something that'll really beef up tone and help me stand out without just relying on more volume. Seeing the price of this vs the sansamp bddi... is this worth it? sounds alright here to me, but will it help me to really make my tone stand out next to the guitarist?

    • @eranaor89
      @eranaor89  9 років тому +1

      runeshark22 If you like your tone as it is, all you need is a volume booster. If you think that something is missing when turning the volume up then you need some kind of tone shaper. This is a Sansamp copy, almost same tone lesser build quality.

    Olá. Tenho uma dúvida quanto ao uso do produto.
    Tenho um baixo passivo e um pequeno set de pedais, meu intuito com a compra seria usar o equipamento para permitir ligar meu instrumento e os pedais na mesa de som de locais onde tocaria ao vivo, fazendo uso dos amplificadores disponibilizados pelos locais, sem perder qualidade do som que normalmente tiro do meu baixo.
    Esse equipamento atenderia a minha necessidade?

    • @eranaor89
      @eranaor89  Рік тому

      Eu não sei o que você se refere exatamente com perder a qualidade do som. O pedal tem duas saídas, uma P10 pra amplificadores e uma XLR balanceada que vc liga direto na mesa de som. Qando o amp que você toca não tem saída pra mesa, você pode ligar seu baixo no amp usando o P10 comum e o XLR pra mandar pra mesa. Tenha em mente que ele deve ser o último na sua cadeia de pedais, do contrário os efeitos só vão sair no seu amp e não no PA. Desculpe a resposta tardia, estive anos ausente do canal, retornei no mês passado.

    Infelizmente não vou poder te ajudar, pois em slap sou um zero a esquerda, ainda mais agora que estou só com 1 baixo de 6 cordas com pouco espaçamento, aí complica mais ainda. Um abraço.

    Yes and no. Yes because you need no amp. No because it has no phantom power, so you need a 9v battery or an external power supply.

      They are flat in this case for the demo purpose but they don't have to be. Sorry for the late response I was away from the channel for years. I just returned last month.

    o meu está chiando absurdamente... me da alguma dica.. eu uso na bateria...

    • @eranaor89
      @eranaor89  7 років тому

      Está chiando é muito vago. Comprou novo e já veio assim? Já tinha e começou a chiar de uma hora pra outra? A bateria é nova? Já testou na fonte pra ver se o chiado para? Os cabos estão bons? O baixo está blindado?
      Enfim, pode ser muita coisa.

      comprei usado, ele chia dpois de 5 minutos, bateria nova (nao é duracel), nao tenho fonte (qual devo comprar?) cabos e baixo estao nos trinks.. qndo espeto direto nao tem chiaado ou ruido

      Se você não tem fonte, imagino que só tenha esse pedal, pois a maioria dos pedais utiliza fonte 9V com negativo no centro e você pode ligar vários na mesma fonte desde que a corrente esteja adequada. Se esse for o seu caso, não recomendo comprar fonte, pois a mesma provavelmente será mais cara do que o valor que você pagou no pedal, essas fontes de pedais precisam estabilizadas e isso encarece o produto, testar com uma fonte genérica pode piorar ainda mais o ruído.
      O ideal seria testar com uma fonte emprestada de algum amigo, pois assim você só compraria se tivesse certeza de que resolveu o problema. Nunca usei bateria na vida e já tive diversos pedais e pedaleiras, sempre usei com a fonte de tensão e corrente adequadas. Mas isso de chiar depois de 5 minutos pode ser defeito também. O knob "presence" e "treble" em altas regulagens também aumenta o ruído, e a chave "ground lift" as vezes atenua um pouco dele, no entanto são ruídos naturais de uso, o seu parece algum tipo de problema mesmo.

    what settings do you recommend for playing metal? :) thanks in advance

    • @eranaor89
      @eranaor89  Рік тому

      It really depends on the players tastes and the metal variation he's playing. Some bass players crank the high and mid up sounding kinda thin and metallic others like to keep the bass up and blend in the mix this the tone you feel more than hear.
