Hey Scott. Thanks for another great review on some affordable gear for musicians. Speaking of.... I would love to see a review of the Valeton GP-200 LT Multi-Effect / Modeling pedal for guitar. At only $279.99 it sounds like a pretty good deal but would love to hear your thoughts on it. Don't think it's available on Amazon yet but hopefully will be soon.
I bought the Stage Right (Monoprice) kit a while back and they sound great but the main issue the drummers have with it is the Tom and snare clips are with too short and put the mic too far in from the rim obstructing their performance. These clips seem to be much better.
Hey Scott, got a question for you. I am looking to get drum mics for our band. We are running everything into a splitter, one to IEM system other will go to FoH. The splitter won't allow for phantom power to over heads. What do you think would be the best "budget" solution? Thanks in advance. By the way, I believe you're from the Denver area, have you ever checked out Texas Toast Guitars in Westminster? They build some killer guitars...and you can even take week long workshops and build your own.
Yup, this guy is great for that! ua-cam.com/video/cFqnYsloQc8/v-deo.htmlsi=oAMCNVsfolJXtkOz And I haven’t heard of them, but thanks for sharing them with me! 🤘
Hey Scott, maybe have you tried the AKG Sessions 1, is these phenyx pro better or maybe close (in quality) than the AKG, or are the AKG much better than the phenyx? im trying to decide which should I Buy, I have the option to buy the AKG kit (used) 40$ above the price of buying the phenyx pro new, thanks in advance
Thanks! And actually I personally use one overhead and the other one for hi hat. That’s the way I use it, but I didn’t think many people would haha. But I agree, I like having the HH mic too
This was a great and informative video. Looking for some cheap gear that works well. Appreciate your work
Thanks!

Awesome video dude! I might have to grab me a set of these!
Thanks! And it’s worth it for sure 🤘
Thanks Scott! Gonna need a set of drum mics next year when we replace out electronic drums with acoustic. These will be on the short list.
Definitely worth it!!
Thanks Scott, I’ll try a set of these since I’m looking for affordable mics.
These are amazing! I would pay double for the value of these mics for sure 🤘

Thanks Mike! I’ll have to look into that, that’s a hell of a deal. I’ve looked at a few of those, but haven’t heard of that one
Thanks for sharing..

Yeah the clips are really nice on these! I like them a lot
I have no experience with drum mic’s. Do the mic’s attach directly to the main mixer?
@@donfraser2582 Well yeah you plug in an xlr cable to the mic and route that signal to the mixer.
Hey Scott, can you link to the kick drum mic mounting hardware pictured at :36 sec? It looks pretty low profile and clean.
It’s in the description 🤘
I'm a dummy. Just saw that. Thanks 😂
thank you
Is that a 14x6 inch snare?
I’m not sure, I would have to ask him haha

@ScottUhlMusic amazing, thank you.
Thanks Man! I am 13 years old kid trying to get drum mics! Nice fucking drums love it! Plus the playing and the demo’s as well. You deserve a sub.
Thanks! And yes, Bobby is an amazing drummer. Super glad to have played shows with him all over the world 🤘

I believe so yes

I haven’t used those. I still use these PP ones and they sound great to me!
One con: no hi hat mic. I always give the hi hat it's own mic. Love the review!

My drummer asked two hours ago what mics to get. I sent him this video. Perfect.
They have a bundle with a 3rd condenser. They also have one with a 5th Tom/Snare mic, and one with a 2nd Bass Mic.
