Excellent! I hope your subscriber list continues to grow quickly - you have a great deal of natural "creative genius" in your pieces. Thanks for sharing.
I STARTED WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED. I HAD TO STOP FOR A WHILE. THIS IS THE FIRST I HAVE SEEN AND WOW! You have come a long way. This piece is really gorgeous
Love the box. I think the Purple Heart and the engraving was very tastefully done, and the bark turned out wonderful I think next to the pump that you did this is your second best thing.
I'm not a big resin fan but I swear on the legendary Miss Betty White that this turn is a real beauty. Nice work and best wishes to you and the family.
That's great, Todd. I love everything about it. I think that's the only time I have ever seen someone using a dial indicator to chuck up a piece like that. Bill
Beautiful work man. Watching your videos helped me decide to buy another lathe. I have a jet 10×15 bench top and a 14 ×43 that I can't remember the brand on but it's an older model. Awesome work
That my friend is a dial indicator, it’s used mainly in machining but for the same purpose as used in this application. Used for getting the part back to centerline on the chuck.
Todd. That is SO BEAUTIFUL! Man, I love it! The beautiful grain and colors alone would have made it stunning, but the subtle addition of the resin and the laser engraving just took it to another level! The only thing I'm curious about it how the engraving got it's two tone look. It looked to me like the design was raised, but maybe it was the engraved IN portion of the design(?) So, maybe you just sanded the gold coating off, leaving the gold only in the engraved design. (might have been nice to show a few seconds of that.) Anyhow, it looks great and makes me think that there very well may be a laser in my future.
Thank you so much, I did try to get a short clip of sanding back the gold across the engraving but somehow the clip got corrupted so I had to use a different clip for sanding. Just how it goes sometimes.
Wow what an amazing piece of art brother I love all the natural beauty of the wood and the engraving great work Todd I also messaged you a while back about getting a reverse thread, face plate with 8TPI s not sure if you’re still doing that let me know Thanks John
Very cool piece. I wish you would have given us a close-up of the engraving. It looks great from far away, but it's hard to see what the design is. Anyway, great job... V
Thank you 😊 not sure of the brand per say but it’s a basic dial indicator and stand, I do machining for work so only makes sense to utilize the same tools for basically the same purpose.
Honestly when I come across pieces like this with many color variations and grain flows I tend to think of satellite imagery of the earth, perhaps that’s why I tend to go with blues in this instance. -T ✌️
Pretty cool dude. How in the hell did you do the engraving......it looked like the wood was rotating but i didn't see how it was attached.....a Am i missing something here ? I really like the blue epoxy highlights....nice touch Brother.👍👍 Take care, ~Jonny5🥁
out of curiosity, what did you do to get the rotary tool working? as is when I try to plug it in it's trying to home when powered on and I can't stop that, nor can I find anywhere that gives a detailed explanation as to how to set it up. is there a tutorial you followed somewhere or did you ahve to figure it out? Thanks!
I had the same issue! This is copied from my correspondence with the manufacturer…. When using the rotary kit, uncheck the "auto home" option. It is also recommended to control the machine in real-time through a data cable and use the "current position" for positioning. Hope it can solve your problem and please let me know.
@@dukaheritage9445 huh, that might help. idk if I can run the machine live, but in the meantime until I get it working proper, I've resorted to clicking the stop switch with my finger in time with the other one on the rare occasions I need the rotary and then just frame as usual but thanks for the info!
Gorgeous piece!! Love that gold and blue with the cherry. 🤌
Thank so much my friend! ✌️

Wow, thank you!
I love the laser etching and the whole piece it is amazingly beautiful!!!!
Thank you so much 😊
Excellent! I really like how you minimally use the resin, only to fill voids so the natural character of the wood is prominent. Hang in there.
Thank you my friend, I do always try to keep the wood the focus 🙂

That is awesome!
DAMN, that's gorgeous! It would also be a stunning Urn.
P.S. Please put a cover plate on your plug behind your turner!
Thank you 😊
A stunning piece mate, but I’m still waiting on my sticker!, lol
Thank you brother, stay on me about the stickers I have a bunch I have to get out.
It’s stunning. Love the bark!
I’d like to know what tool is being used at 11:10.

I also messaged you a while back about getting a reverse thread, face plate with 8TPI s not sure if you’re still doing that let me know
Thanks John
Thank you kindly, I’ve made a note about the reverse thread plate and I will look into what it would take to get that done.
Very cool piece. I wish you would have given us a close-up of the engraving. It looks great from far away, but it's hard to see what the design is. Anyway, great job... V
Thank you, take a look at the end in the slow rolls.
Gorgeous turnout. Who makes the dial that you used to get the piece re-centered
Thank you 😊 not sure of the brand per say but it’s a basic dial indicator and stand, I do machining for work so only makes sense to utilize the same tools for basically the same purpose.
Beautiful work. Would love links to purchase sanding paste and tung wax. Do you share file for your laser engraver? You are very talented.
Thank you 😊 The links are in the description ✌️
Color choices seem so important. In this case w/ two colors of wood how did you come to Blue?
Honestly when I come across pieces like this with many color variations and grain flows I tend to think of satellite imagery of the earth, perhaps that’s why I tend to go with blues in this instance. -T ✌️
👍🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
✌️❤️😎
Pretty cool dude.

Am i missing something here ?
I really like the blue epoxy highlights....nice touch Brother.👍👍
Take care,
~Jonny5🥁
Thank you, the engraving was done by a laser.
If the gold engraved pattern were tiny weed leaves you wouldn't be able to keep up with demand.😉
That can be done 🙃
