dude, that's exactly what i was looking for. awesome!
was tryin' to figure this out for days. great work!
Superb tutorial and technique! Thank you very much. Very creative!
Thank you for this! Been searching for a solution for this for a while
Fab - thanks for sharing!
really cool tutorial
brilliant work! .. you just made my day
ive been looking for this for years!
Extremely clever! Thanks very much.
I get the enitre rig working in a file , but if i cope paste the expresso node and the sphere to another scene, swap the sphere with a polygon object in matter waves & dynamics proximity, i applied the dynamics taf but the particles are static ?
Great tutorial!Thank you.
Great tutorial!!!!!
Amazing!!!!!!!!!
I have searched for answers to a few months, do not use X-particle and Houdini
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial! Could you please advise how to instal Noise Curve node in Cinema R25? Thanks
Is it possible to have this seamlessly loop without around and around the sphere?
does not work for me, something not work with dynamic proximity, setdata, I put the dynamic tag to the sphere, check the compare nodes, both curl noise and dynamic roximity enabled, but at this point all stop working, if I disconect psetdata from dynamic all particles move, but conected nothing works...
This is because at some point in the newer versions of C4D the dynamics body tag changed its default "Shape" setting under the "Collision" tab to "Static Mesh" instead of "Automatic". If you change it back to "Automatic" it will work again. The Dynamics Proximity node doesn't work with "Static Mesh" or "Moving Mesh" modes.
hey nice tutorial, but How do you save the preset on xpool?
Hey, thx a lot for the tut. Just have one issue, when I crank up the speed, particle positions offset according to it. I just want to make them faster, not change their position. Do you have a suggestion for it?
It'd have to see what's happening to help really. The only tip I can give is that it's using the dynamics system to constrain the particles to the object, so maybe check your dynamics settings? Perhaps more substeps would help keep them constrained to the surface at a faster speed.
nice!
i dont get it , followed to the letter in r23, went well until somewhere at the end but now a glitchy start and 2 particles that moved a bit but frozen..
found it in the comments : put dynamics body tag to automatic
How to install that script ?
Hello there how to install ct-curl-noise inC4D to be shown in xpresso
creativetuts.com/how-to-create-and-save-custom-python-or-c-o-f-f-e-e-node-presets-in-xpresso/
thank you so much I will try and let you know
thanks for the tutorial! and i have a question. i want do this on the moving object. how can i do that?
Change the dynamics tag from Automatic to Moving Object - its flaky, but works sometimes, on some objects
nice work!!! but how to load curl noise to the xpresso pool? Thanks !
creativetuts.com/how-to-create-and-save-custom-python-or-c-o-f-f-e-e-node-presets-in-xpresso/
Thanks bro!!! It's awesome
i'm a little late to the party, but i just worked through this and love the effect. the only problem i see that i can't resolve is how the tail of each particle trace starts above the surface of the object and then moves to snap to the surface in the first couple frames. this leaves a myriad of tails that are perpendicular to the surface. is there any way you can think of to eliminate these unseemly starts?
Hey man, after the tutorial I noticed that and found that if you crank up the sample steps in the tracer object that will go away.
Cody Sorgenfrey Amazing tutorial! Just wondering if it's possible to animate the noise so once the particles trace the path, the noise changes the paths moving them around. Sorry if I didn't explain well I'm new to cinema4d
@@CodySorgenfrey1 Great tutorial with some amazing resources too, thank you so much! Im also getting this issue with the straight tails, however cranking up the sample steps in the tracer makes it worse! Any ideas? THank you...
brilliant! ... unfortunately, Type of some Object (like torus, donuts) doesn't work :(
you're right... it doesn't work on a torus even though I change the shape to static mesh
You guys are correct, unfortunately the dynamics proximity node only works with the dynamic shape set to automatic.
When it's set to anything else, the node only returns the closest point on the object which is not helpful for us. I haven't yet figured out how to calculate the closest surface position given the nearest point on the object :(
Thanx,it work nice
greattttttttttt
snaps to the center ,maybe an update problem..i am using c4d r19
Change your dynamics proximity mode to Shape instead of Center, also be sure your dynamics body tag is set to automatic!
@@QRISING that did it, setting body tag to automatic thx !
may i ask how i can install them ?
i am kind of new to the c4d things
How you install the curl noise node? There are directions on the GitHub page.
thanks for the reply but i cant find it. Anyway its a cool demo thanks :)
cinema r21 dont work for me... after 1st shot particles dont move(
On your Dynamics Body Tag change Collision Shape from "Static Mesh" to "Automatic"
you lied you've got xp
