Yay :)
Great job! Thanks
Glad you liked it!
I struggled to show some textures in my painting and right after two examples I have new ideas. Thank you so much! 🙏 I always put new colours as a layer and then blend them into previous ones, it was tiresome because I had to correct contours every single time. I haven't thought about making lines at all! 😮 They are more precise so it would be easier to save contours 🙂
You are so welcome!
Very nice demo. Thank you for sharing the video.
Thanks for watching!

Sorry for my ignorance, but What is “soubrette “? It looks like tissue paper. I love this technique.
it is a serviette (paper napkin)
Thank you for sharing your video, I often wondered if you could use polyfiller, I thought it may have cracked and fallen off, but you've got me to experiment thank you. Cheers from Tasmania!
Polyfilla works fabulously. Once it has dried it is rock hard
@@PaintBasket thanks for a reply, well that's really good to know, now I'll do some experimenting. Cheers!
Good luck. Let me know how it went
Very informative tfs.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it :)
Thanks for this very interesting tutorial. I learned a lot. I am a South African living in Canada. Is your accent South African? When you said you live close to a volcano I wasn't sure. Thanks again. I would like to follow you for more tutorials.

Does the heavy gel work with oil paint too, or only acrylic? Thank you for the thoughtful video.

👌👌
❤
Thank you :)
hope you're doing well! how can I achieve the texture of the thumbnail? would like to paint a texturized canvas of Led Zeppelin IV album.
These would be the two classes that will show you the techniques you are looking for:

onlineartlessons.com/class/how-to-paint-a-dove-at-window-in-watercolour/
depending on what medium you work in
superb
I am glad you enjoyed the tutorial Pawan :)
Recommend watching this at 2x speed for efficiency - added bonus is Gordon Ramsey is narrating :)
haha, Gordon minus the swearing :)
Please, did you use glue or ,gesso in works 13* and 14*,15,16?
I used texture gel. You can see what that looks like on the website tutorial: paintbasket.com/texture-painting-techniques/
@@PaintBasket i am a beginner in painting.and your tutorial means a lot to me.thanks for the reply.
If I wanted to make a textured cloud what would you recommend?
You can use cotton wool, or if you also want to paint it, then use texture paste
doesnt the texture paste come off from the canvas on drying up?
Not at all, it becomes rock hard and sticks like crazy - you would have to chisel it off
I have to do it in a big area so which texture would be best?? Can u suggest me..
which texture would be best would depend on the effect you want :)
Hello where do you teach the texture of the image ( blue like a old wall) that you presents the video?
The video thumbnail is just a representative image to indicate texture.
I do however have several other classes that teach a similar texture which you can follow:

paintbasket.com/shop/how-to-paint-beach-signs/

@@PaintBasket thank you
What kind and percentage of alcohol?
it is Isopropyl alcohol
@@PaintBasket thank you!
I really liked the video... very instructive. HOWEVER, you went over the names of the brushes quite fast... and with your accent (Aussie, Kiwi? ) I couldn't get them. Perhaps adding the names (words) onto the video? LG
Here are the brush names used in each block, in order that I did the blocks:
1 + 3 + 6) Rigger brush
2 + 4) Soft filbert
5) Standard bristle brush
6) Soft filbert
7) first bristle brush, then soft filbert to block in, then painting knife to lift
8) first bristle brush, then soft filbert to block in the isopropyl alcohol
9) painting knife
10) Soft filbert
11) Bristle brush & Cling Wrap
12) Texture gel & soft filbert
13) Texture gel, soft filbert & serviette / napkin
14) hessian / jute
15) Texture gel, soft filbert & sea sand
16) Texture paste, painting knife & soft filbert
17) texture paste & Sticks
18) Soft filbert
19) Painting knife
20) Soft filbert
@@PaintBasket THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!! LENNY
South African accent.
@@maureenhaley112 I Thought he had a South African accent. I am South African living in Canada. But he lost me when he said I live close to a volcano??
