4:46 Huh, it's a good thing your table is perfectly level.

I was watching that Sony lens very carefully too! (expected it to roll off the table).

@@ThunderFarter interesting, there may be a way for you as the Nikon 7000 is far more advanced than my old 40d canons. There was a YT video that shows how to stream the Canon 40D via OBS which I have managed to get working. BUT, I have not created any YT content using my various bits of streaming gear. I hope for you that there is a way to configure your Nikon to be used as a webcam or streaming cam. Check YT again, may be someone has figured this out

I went from Canon 80d and 90d, to my Canon R7, and love the features mirrorless gives me.
Mostly how much easier it is to use, from the autofocus and eye detect and so on, to not having the mirror blocking my view while shooting fast moving subjects, and the camera is nice and light and fast.
And the RF lenses I have, so far, are optically and otherwise, much better.
And I love looking at the little TV screen inside the camera haha, shows me how the picture will be exposed, very useful compared to DSLR. And it is now fast enough to have a similar feel as DSLR, plus added bonus of being able to have a continuous view of a subject for action shots, makes it so much easier.
Although, if I still had my old DLSR's, I wouldn't complain they are great. But in the case of not having any camera, and buying newly like I did, to me the only choice would be my new mirrorless camera. So much more pleasurable and easy to use.

... well, that cleared up the differences quite succinctly!
I started-off with an SLR. Now I am using DSLR's. I am planning to move across to the mirrorless system this year (if all goes well).
Advantages for me (not for everyone) to do this:- weight (when travelling), features & functions, improved DR, better quality optics.
I will still be using my legacy optics, flash systems, flash triggers and a bunch of other accessories that remain compatible and relevant.
DSLR with the attached grip and mid-zoom lens cannot be one-handedly operated for long shoots. Mirrorless equivalent is easier & lighter.

This is a great explanation actually! It really should have more views.
I'm trying to find a good street/landscape camera to start shooting with, and SLRs are fairly trendy right now so I'm considering snagging one.
