I almost cried after this class....i am in a 9-month training program and was not able to do practice with your videos since the last 3 months. Also thanks for mentioning the fascia and the eye movement connection...kind of explains why we should allow the movement to follow the dristi 🙏❤️
Tim, That was magic. Just back from a good longboard surf with super sore shoulders and this video popped up right at the top. Or maybe my phone knows too much about me. Anyhow, just what the doctor ordered.
Man that was exactly what i needed! I've been working on my boat for the last week and was sort of waiting for the back pains to show up. And they did! Now i will sleep well!
This is going to be great to go back to on days where I have to drive long distances, sit at the computer, endure the news, or work on the wheel. I love that it includes the eye exercise that has been the trick for me to get back into a relaxed state. I feel that I’m morphing from a walking stiff neck back into a whole person with a body. I appreciate these short videos for days when I’m doing my own practice, or when I’d like a little tune-up before bed. Thanks!!
Dura mater and eye mouvements yeah! Your anatomy lesson is always getting finer. Thank you so much for the quality of your classes and the sharing of knowledges.
This was amazing! I've been waiting for something like this. I would really appreciate a quick video about yoga for hands/wrists - as an artist I try to do wrist/finger exercises everyday and would love to see what exercises you might recommend for that. Thank you for all the wonderful content!
Wow this was super intense. I had to back off several times. Which is rare for me. I'll come back to this one very soon. I'm going to the chiropractor now
This neck and shoulder segment was so so helpful… I have been a Dental hygienist for almost 30 years and my neck and shoulders I have constant pain this has been so helpful I will continue to do it… If you can please continue with some isolated body parts like neck and shoulders it is a great way to begin the day when you’re at a crunch for time! Love what you do thank you!
My neck is always stiff from old whiplash injury. You could actually hear noises when I was doing this, almost like cracking your knuckles. The eye movement made me a little dizzy though, guess I took it too far. Great stretch Tim, thanks
This was a wonderful stretch for neck and shoulders. Your location is beautiful. I can’t sit cross legged for a full 10 minutes but I am working o. It and stretch my legs out front when needed. I really appreciate your descriptions of how to feel the energy moving it helps me visualize it.
Thank you Tim, you're the best. My neck and shoulders are always very tight and its where I hold all my tension in my body. This was very welcome this evening. Thank you :)
This was fantastic thank you Tim. First time for me when rolling the neck back that I learned to do it without hinging and instead use the posture of my back to support. I felt my core engaged to support my neck tilting back and as a result the neck tilted back was an enjoyable position instead of a strain. Amazing! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
this was AMAZING. After a long hiatus from yoga, a 30 minute workout feels TOO MUCH and way too stressful on my very stiff body. This was a perfect start to getting some mobility back into my most painful and locked up areas. THANK YOU!!!
Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Great instruction, as usual, Tim! I have never heard to try to connect my ribs to my pelvis, and I could definitely tell the difference!!! Really wonderful moment of insight for me to better understand belly breathing.
I had a shoulder pain for couple days and I found this Tim’s video and magically pain went away. Thank you so much!!!!🙏💜 I was able to hike pretty tough mountains and feeling amazing.
This is a great series. It’s gentle, the entire series is seated…I love it because I am trying to teach my puppy to be in the yoga room but too much movement flow has him getting up and moving all the time too…I am dreaming of a future Wally-bear yoga-puppy vibe coming from my Sunny soon.
Tena koe Tim really appreciated this session as my neck and shoulders have been tight from working from home seated posture. Normally my neck clicks heaps and strains to do those rotation exercises. Not as much today. Cheers
Hi Tim, what a backdrop stunning view you have! Where is that if you don’t mind asking? It makes you want to do yoga even if you don’t feel like it! Simply stunning in all the seasons I believe. Could you please guide me to beginner videos you got ( at the very low beginner stage in yoga or stretching) so I can build my strength up. I get intimidated by the complexity of some exercises especially in yoga. Thank you for that awesome stretching exercises, and thank you for making us enjoy that view too.🙏 a fan from Melbourne 😊
Hello, Rula. You can check the website of the place I film. Here’s the site: Lunadesolbaja.com It is in Northern Mexico and it is quite beautiful. As far as the Beginner Yoga videos, do this: Go to YogawithTim. Click PLAYLISTS. Go to 'Beginner Series'. There are 7 beginner videos. Click 'VIEW FULL PLAYLIST' to see all 7. Glad you like the stretching. Thank you for practicing with us! :)
Hi Tim. I maybe pinched a nerve in my neck such that I have been suffering with pain for weeks. Doing your other yoga (e.g. the 30 challenge), I notice that poses to use/tense the neck muscles tend to help more with flexibility/mobility and easing the pain than the stretches. For example, the pose where you bring the feet up into a 90 degree angle and then back behind (plow pose) and then up into shoulder stand is in many ways a lot more effective (I do not have tight shoulders). I wonder, therefore, if you could do a neck video incorporating more tensing/using the neck and shoulder and upper back muscles (gently) as the isometric to the stretching. Thanks!
Hi, Julianne. Bummer to hear about your neck issues. I have a really good neck video in the mobility course on the CMC. There are also free neck videos. Just type 'neck' into the search bar.
Hey Tim, been doing your youtube videos since the first lockdown last year. I basically just created this account so I could let you know I really appreciate your trainning, it puts my mind in a great place after doing a Yoga session. Also a big fan of the 80s/ 90s hip hop references and dad jokes! haha
Thank you so much for this class! I can't believe how different my neck and shoulders feel after just 10 mins. I'm from the Philippines and a great fan of your channel
Thank you a lot Tim for your videos, it helps me a lot with my neck pain🙏 The only thing I noticed if I tilt head to the right or left a bit more and still have my back straight I feel like I start suffocating. Not sure why🤷♀️ Can you please help me with that one, is that I overdo it or just my muscles are tight?!
Hey Julia, I’m so glad to hear that. Oh gnarly, sounds like you might be a neck breather, (hence the chronic neck pain) and need to learn to breath diaphragmatically. I go over this on the conscious movement course (CMC) in the pranayama/ breathwork section. If you're not signed up for the Conscious Movement Community (CMC) yet, go to yogawithtim.mykajabi.com to get started.
I love the focused stretching on this. I think it's a beautiful thing to feel and visualize the stretch and energy channels. Brilliant work as always Tim! Namaste
this was wonderful Tim, thank you. Any thoughts on why I might be feeling neck tightness/pain when I inhale from my diaphragm? Is it because I'm still holding tension in my neck without realizing it?
Very cool short video for stiff neck and shoulders. It’s my first time to do the elbow out and elbow in exercise at the beginning of the session. I felt it also helped to massage the outer lines of my eyes. I also like the big glass window with background nature. Where is it in CA? ❤
This one's not in So Cal. It’s a vineyard in Northern Mexico where they cultivate a world class wine. You can check out the website of the place where I film. Here’s the site: Lunadesolbaja.com
Thanks Tim! I loved the neck stretches but couldn’t sit in the position for more than 5 minutes. My lower back wasn’t strong enough I think? You have tons of back videos but I’m not sure where to start. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Thanks Tim, my neck and upper back have been tight for some time and this is exactly what I need. It felt great, but I know getting rid of this tension will be a bit of a journey for me. A question, would it be ok to do this 10 minute session each day maybe as a warm up to get the krinks out in the morning and then my normal yoga practice later in the day? Also is this added to the Conscious Movement Community so I can find it there? Thanks for everything, Stef.
Sure! That would be just fine. Stacy puts the youtube videos into the “ad free” section on the CMC. I’ll check right now to make sure she got it in there.
Yes, of course it can. I'd recommend starting with my beginner course to learn how to change your posture best and then keep up with my course. I bet in a few months you see a huge difference.
Tim, I know this may be asking a lot but I had a horse accident about 6 months ago and have been going through recovery. I used to be a high intermediate yoga student but now due to my accident I have lost my mobility and strength in my core, back, arms, and legs. So pretty much everywhere. Do you have a specific challenge or a few videos that could help me to regain what I lost. I’m willing to take the time and work on it even if it takes me months to get back to where I used to be. My chiropractor has been assisting my recovery and has suggested doing the basics of yoga. This would mean a lot. Thank you!
I’m so sorry to hear that. I would recommend starting with the basics even though you’re an intermediate student. Start with the beginner course, then do a 30 day challenge then start the “what’s next” CMC course.

this was wonderful Tim, thank you. Any thoughts on why I might be feeling neck tightness/pain when I inhale from my diaphragm? Is it because I'm still holding tension in my neck without realizing it?
