  • Official demo for the Uverbia spring reverb pedal by ScreaminFX.
    On sale here: www.screaminfx....
    The Uverbia is a handmade, real spring reverb pedal which has a driver that sends your signal to a spring tank in a similar manner to a guitar amplifier. The mind blowing tone comes from the fact that this pedal has a real spring tank, not a digital modeling unit that is commonly found in many reverb pedals. Your signal goes through the set of real springs and mechanically reverberates back and forth. The wet and original dry signal is mixed and then run through an output amplifier section with controllable gain profiling. The output amplifier acts in a similar manner to a tube amplifier, when it's low you get a nice clean sound that makes you want to play a blues lick or two. When it’s cranked, you’re surrounded by huge tone, gobs of reverb, with a warm distortion enhancing the harmonics. This results in an unbelievable array of reverb sounds and overdrives that you can't get with a digital chip.

    Would be nice to have this demoed with something other than guitarr. I use springs on a ton of things, especially trums and synths.

    Awesome pedal dude! im thinking about buying one of your fuzz models. Btw description says "one sale here" instead of "on"

      Zakuma101 Thanks!! It took me a couple of years to get the Uverbia designed how I wanted it. Finally have it ready. I have a new fuzz design (same insides) coming out this week at NAMM - you can see all the insides and it looks really sweet. Something to check out, but send me an email if you ever have any questions on anything. Fixed the typo... at least it wasn't in the Video text!

      Thanks! Yeah, I build them as they are ordered. Depending on workload it takes around 2 weeks or so. Sorry it took so long to reply...heavy workload ;)

    this sounds amazing. but I have a dumb question - doesn't the 'solid state circuit' not make this analog?

    • @Screaminfx_Guitar_Pedals
      @Screaminfx_Guitar_Pedals  9 років тому

      h2ophilter not a dumb question! Solid state basically just means transistors / semiconductor devices, but you can run them analog (not digital ones and zeros) with analog design. Many pedals are analog. Instead, if you convert the analog guitar signal to digital by sampling it, then change the sound such as add reverb, and then convert it back to analog then that would be digital. I wrote a longer article about it here: screaminfx.com/tech/analog-verse-digital-guitar-pedals.htm

      ScreaminFX Thanks for the thoughtful response. Once I get the cash I'd like to order one!

      h2ophilter no problem, please ask me if you ever have any guitar questions! Shoot me an email about the pedal too!

    This pedal looks and sounds amazing! What are your thoughts on using this thing on bass guitar?

    ey is there an option to get the reverb without the holes ?

    Hi there, I looking for a real spring reverb as none of my amps has reverb. You pedal seem to have a deeper reverb than the Spaceman orion..are the hole simply cosmentic or do they make the reverb deeper..Can you make the dub-style reverb splash sound with this pedal?

    • @Screaminfx_Guitar_Pedals
      @Screaminfx_Guitar_Pedals  8 років тому +2

      Hi! Yeah, its a little deeper and darker reverb in general. The holes allow you to see the reverb but don't change the sound. You can kick or hit it to get that splashy sound. The holes help to see when you do this whats going on with the springs.

    yOU SHOULD PUT A TIGHTENING KNOB ON THE SIDE SO YOU CAN ADJUST THE TENSION OF THE SPRINGS LIKE YOU ADJUCT ANY OF THE OTHER KNOBS ON TOP.
    WOOPS LEFT CAPS ON SORRY.

      ScreaminFX I'm sure the surf guys would love it. Seen a few posts saying it doesn't get drippy enough for their liking when I was doing some research on your pedal, I'm sure with the reverb pre gain cranked and some looser springs they'd be happy with it. Personally I'm after it because it's nice and tight sounding (when I can afford it...).
