Here's the video breaking down how the reactor works: • I turn Plastics into F...
Feel free to ask any questions, I'll be reading every comment!
I believe with the world wide crisis we are facing now, we require a world wide solution. And this is why I believe we need decentralized devices such as this Reactor. Think about it, even if there is just 1 reactor in every community, that will put a huge dent in plastic waste and pollution.
Due to this, I do not wish to make a singular specialized Reactor, once I master and complete this one, I want to make all different types, of all different scales and sizes.

Also, that pyrolyzed grass could also be used as biochar to help grow crops

Could run your whole house off of that system. Been looking into making charcoal for the car, and pyrolysis gas for the home, and that’s the first microwave system I’ve seen. Amazing job!!

Well this process requires energy to run, and it can't produce more energy than it requires. Thanks!

You know how I know this guy is American? Not only the accent but because he measures gas production volume in yoga balls. And he is able to convert that into hours burning on a stovetop. God bless America

The carbon as a "catalyst" simply works because it is electrically conductive and converts the microwave energy into heat. Without that, as you noted, the microwave energy gets reflected back into the magnetron.
Without this, you would need to adapt the impedance of the reactor to that of the magnetron. Then you would get sparks in the reactor and it would work without the carbon "catalyst"

Dude! You totally have to try pyrolyzing asphalt shingles ! I bet they will give a ton of oil. Well, if you have enough shingles that is.

Damn this is next level! I do wonder how "stable waste" would perform (the grass plus poo should be full of goodies?) since it is a waste product i cant imagine they would charge much? And if it would work better or worse with different animal droppings, got yer horse stables, cow pens, chicken pens, pig pens and maybe sheep.. the posibilities are endless! Good speed on you man and stay safe!

What do you do with the glass from the grass? Surely it has to be cleaned before it can be used safely in a home or compressed into a propane tank?

yo quick video idea. pyrolize an entire roll of plastic wrap. kinda like turning a roll of tin foil into a knife, buy a fresh roll of plastic wrap, cut it off the roll and process it. also if you could unwind a whole roll into a plastic wrap ball and process that. feel like it would activate the algorithm if you have a good thumbnail and title.

The microwave part of this reactor seems to require a lot of electricity to run, no? Could it be run on solar/wind power if it were ~750W?

Hey brudda could you use the grass as compost in that carbon state? Do you think it still has high contents of the catalyst in it? 1 more possible industry to branch off from Grass Gas. Maybe an insulating product, that stuff fire resistant?

    • @naturejab

Yes the grass can be used as compost, the catalyst is carbon/ biochar as well.
