- How to remove, then reinstall, a door panel on a Lexus ES350. This should also apply to other Lexus and Toyota models.
Re-install is at 11:49
For this foam-backed insulation material, I used this: www.lowes.com/...
Thank you for having this video. I was struggling with the weather stripping
Very easy and amazing explanation how remove the panel door . Thank you Sr.
The Lexus these days are getting cheaper with their parts! My wife’s 2016 ES350 is also very noisy we had 300 10 years ago was quieter. We traded in for 2013 GX460 and it’s comparable to our old v8 4runner. But my 04 LS430 was by far the quietest of all. Thanks for the upload sir!
Thanks a million for the tip about installing the seal on the door first before replacing the panel. I was really struggling to re-install the panel before I viewed your video. Saved me a trip to the dealership.
Glad I could help
Thanks for showing how to put the panel back on!
I messed with it for at least 1 hour before I saw in your video about putting the weather strip back on first !
Awesome tip!
Glad I could help you
Great video explanation. Going to save me a lot of pain (and probably the frustration of minor interior damage on my lovely Lexus!)
Brilliant!!!!! Been struggling to get the panel on after replacing the Actuator. Thanks
RX 350 driver here, this should help get rid of this rattle on my driver side rear door. :)
Thank you. I need to remove the rear door panel on our Lexus to reconnect the inside door opener cable.
Thank you for your great help.
Crystal clear!
Thank you sir very well done and saved me several frustrating moments I am sure
Thanks for the feedback. I no longer have the car, but glad I could help.
Great video. Thank you.
How did the insulation work on your ES? I have a 2019 ES 350 and was thinking of doing it.
Thanks for the great video.
Great, my door is very similar. Thanks so much for taking the time to post this.
Hi thanks for your video, I removed the panel to manually get my stuck window up and closed it’ll go up 75% of the way but not higher. I can’t seem to figure it out at need my car for work. I know it’s a strange request but is there any way i could FaceTime you for some guidance to get this job done??
Hi. Sorry, but I sold this car over 2 years ago, and I forget a lot of the details. I leave it up here because it seems to continue to help people. Perhaps someone else here with knowledge of the window track can help.
@@MelloCelloFello ah no worries. I put the door back on and have the window sealed with plastic till I can bring it on Monday. Thanks for the video though! Yeah definitely leave it up it was very helpful.. would’ve taken me much longer to get it on and off
Very helpful information. Thank you!
Thanks!
Would like to see how the 2019 door panel comes off if its much different than prior generations ES
I would not know but I doubt it is any different.
What speaker adapter did you use for your aftermarket speakers? Please help Thanks 🙏
thanks for the video sir. .. The only thing I'm afraid it's rattle sound might happen after remove myself lol
I would say don't be afraid. Lexus did a good job designing this, and it snaps back together nicely. You might even discover the source of your rattle!
Is the car quieter after installing insulation?
I no longer have this car, but yes, it was noticeably a little quieter.
I assume it reduced or blocked noise on the road that bounced from many cars around yours? So it was Just a little quieter?
Will use this material on doors and behind door panel: www.ebay.com/itm/162674305087?ul_noapp=true
Why did you add insulation to the door?
Hi. I did it for two reasons. 1) It is standard practice in audio installation to use sound deadening material. It reduces the rattles and squeaks (which I did not have), and really does improve the sound of the chamber the speaker is mounted in. 2) It makes the car door sound a lot better when you shut the door. There is a noticeable difference in the thump that the door makes when it shuts. It sounds more solid and more like a Lexus now than a cheapo car.
Mello Cello Fellow I just changed mine yesterday using this video thanks a lot. We need to see more content from you, mor DIY. 👍🏾
@@MelloCelloFello What kind of sound deadening material did you use?
I updated the description at the top with a link to the Frost King material I used.
Plastic cellophane in a Lexus???....oh mom.....into Volkswagen only iron and bolts!!!
