License plate lights are necessary to make your motorcycle street legal, but do they have to be so bulky and ugly? When you setup your Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, or whatever your choice of ride is with a custom license plate mount, you probably don't want to add bulk just to illuminate the license plate. Some companies answered this need with cheap lights that do not function well and are difficult to install and connect. Other companies have created lights that look fancy because of a machined aluminum enclosure but are expensive, not universal, and still difficult to install. At TST Industries, we design our products to solve problems that we find in our industry. Our new Stealth License Plate Light not only solves these problems, it also adds style to your vehicle, installs with ease, and is available at a very attractive price point.

You should try putting the adhesive on the back so it's on the mount rather than the plate👌
Nice design, I like how it mounts. That will work perfect where my plate is mounted.
what size is that connector? i accidentally drop mine inside my bike i cant find it anymore. i just want to buy a connector. to install my tst plate light
Posi-Tap 18-24 ga for asccessory side, 20-22 ga for tap side.
The connectors are 20-22 gauge.
Just ordered one. I can't wait to illuminate my plate!
I need one too . I don’t have a light on my license plate im scared ill get pull over. The license plate its hidden down there lol where did you order yours?
Just ordered the light guys. Can't wait to get it on the chop.
Hopefully one day we will have a distributor in the UK so you don't have to endure those shipping charges.
TSTindustries amen...
Just ordered this along with the new tail light and flasher relay, all TST IND for my 06 ZX636 that I am rebuilding this winter.
It's a very bright light and makes the plate really stand out. And because my plate is mounted under the muffler of my CBR600RR, it also lights up part of the undercarriage.
+st8kout1 It sounds like you like this product. Is this license plate light something you would likely recommend to a friend?
+TSTindustries Yes, I do. Just make sure you get the placement just right, because once you stick it on it's not going anywhere.
How you mount it i order the toce exhaust and the plate mout with the license plate light does the cables are heat resistant??for me cbr600rr 2020
How do i get the factory bulb out? Ive tried pulling straight out, and turning the bulb counter clockwise while pulling and i can't get it out. 2012 Yamaha zuma 50. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
I'm definitely ordering that light and the fender eliminator with in the integrated tail light for my kawasaki 300. placing my order tomorrow. awesome products guys and good installation videos.
+Byron G Thanks Byron! You'll definitely enjoy your new parts!
Is this compatible for a 2020 Honda Rebel 500?
Yes.
Nice definitely worth getting!
+chico suave word homie
I'll be installing this on my MT-07. Before I do, will this light be on all the time? my lights are always on, so I assume there is always power where I'll be tapping into. Should I switch this? Or will it be fine to have the led always on. I guess I'll need to get the lifetime warranty in case it goes bad.
What you want to do is look at our fender eliminator installation video on your bike. In the disassembly portion we show and indicate which of the harness connections is your bike's license plate light circuit. If you connect to that circuit, the license plate light will operate just like the OE unit. When the bike is off, the circuit is shut off and is not drawing current from your electrical system. When the bike is on it turns on. There is no need for any addidional switches.
@@TSTindustries Correct, I guess I meant that the plate light will be on all the time the bike switch was on and running, since the lights on the bike are always on.
I do have a TST fender eliminator already. I'll check that video
Can they run straight off the stator or must be wired to a battery
If your charging system has a good rectifier system capable of keeping the power supply at a DC 12-15V then there is no issue with running it straight off that.
@@TSTindustries you da man!! Thanks for the reply
mounting this with integrated tail light, fender eliminator and exhaust lowering kit for 2008 CBR600rr is problematic- the exhaust touches the license plate and would melt straight through the light/cord. I had to mount mine sideways on the license plate to remedy this. Doesn't look as good as it could. Without the lowering kit it would have been fine but then the integrated tail light would be too close to the exhaust. OH well, still a vast improvement over stock.
When you start getting into multiple custom pieces the eventuality of having to make compromises exists. You can actually run the license plate light from the bottom of the license plate. This way you have your light in the center and out of the way of the midpipe. Or you can do what you already figured out and run the plate light off center. That is what we did on our factory 600RR.
Same issue on my '08 RR.
id love to buy that in Australia but having trouble ordering it
We ship to Australia all the time. There should be no reason for issues with ordering. You can contact our customer service department and they can help you.
would be helpful if you would show how to wire it in
We have a separate video for that showing 3 of the most common methods.
@@TSTindustries Where is it?

@@TSTindustries I was hoping for a video that shows how to tap into existing tail/brake that don't have a license plate light. How would you tap into a Dark Green, Green/Yellow and Black coming from the bikes tail light? (XR650L)
@@WILLY52368 the video shows the 3 most common methods but in order to give you an exact answer as to which wires "may" work on your particular bike, we would have to do some research.
I have a 2007 Yamaha r6 and my plate is literally under my seat can I use this for that or do I have to buy a whole plate holder?
If you just have the plate hanging with no bracket you can use the hibond tape (red piece on the light) to attach the light to your plate. This will work well for your particular setup.
what gauge are those posi-tap connectors and where can I order some?
these are 18-22. We are an OEM using these in our parts so we don't really retail them. You can get the small kits of posi-taps on Ebay.
Are these available in the UK
They are not available in the UK but we do ship to the UK directly off of our website.
Do you guys have a model that works for cars here in the U.S.A.?
We have seen people buy a pair of these and put them on cars. The lights take a standard ~12V input and mount universally to the back of a license plate. If you have the clearance for the top to stick out over your license plate, and are willing to figure out the connection then you should be set with a pair of these.
You have not answered the question. Please rephrase.
Do you make a product like this suitable for a SUV? I have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and every time I install LED bulbs I get the dreaded "license plate bulb out" alarm. These would be a great alternative if there were means to wire it to some sort of auxiliary power that does not detect the drop in power causing the alarm.
Your issue is likely due to the LEDs drawing less current than your OEM incandescent bulbs. Your car will always sense that. You can wire a load balancing ceramic resistor in parallel with your license plate lights and that will fool the computer into shutting the dash light off.
TSTindustries - Thank you for the info. I've read the same on several articles and I prefer to avoid altering any wiring or playing with resistors. Which is basically why my original question to you was if you have a mini light bar which can be used for a car application, such as the ones featured in this video for motorcycles? If I could tap into a different power supply, such as a trailer hitch harness, etc. I would avoid the dash error completely.
Looking at the 2015 Yamaha R3, it appears the white light from the LEDs can be seen directly from the rear of the bike (as opposed to the white light you can see shining on the license plate). Wouldn't this be problematic, as some/all States prohibit direct white light coming from the rear of the vehicle that is not a backup light (which only is allowed when the vehicle is in reverse)?
That will be the case if you are using our adjustable plate holder and set it on an angle at which the license plate light lens is exposed in the rear. All you have to do is re-adjust the angle of the license plate bracket and your problem will be gone.
Only two of my LEDs turn on. How can I fix this? It’s installed on an 07 CBR 600rr
We warranty these parts. From time to time something will fail but we've got your back. Please give our customer care guys a message through our website.

Looking for something like this, but bigger like 20 inch
Sorry, we only make that one size. What are you trying to light up?
European license plate
@@mok6802 c'mon dude...20" hahahah. That's a little overkill. Unless you are talking about a car plate. License plates on EU bikes aren't that wide
If you are talking about a car plate then maybe you can use two of our lights and light up the plate from the sides, one on each. They are really bright and will probably work well.
TSTindustries yea I car plate lol ok thx
i relocated my licence plate on my jeep i need a light any of you electric guys know if it will work thanks .... nice design by the way
Your Jeep is a 12v system. Electrically this light will work. You may need 2 to achieve proper illumination across the larger car license plate.
@@TSTindustries thank you for the reply i think ill try one JJ
Yup yup
Pushing the envelope on packaging? Come on! Can’t wait to see how impressive your packaging is!!!
This video was filmed 7 years ago. Although we still believe we have one of the most robust and elegant license plate lights on the market, it has been 7 years since we designed this product.
Based on that comment I don't think you grasp what packaging means in manufacturing.
Too bright.. Any way to easily tone down the brightness?
Yes, I’ve had the same problem on a bike’s license plate light in the past and fixed it easy with covering the clear light area with car “tail light tint film”. For me I did two layers and made the light just the right brightness for me. Super easy job to do.
@@SpecterSeventy2 awesome thanks
This is how pathetic Western Australia’s licensing laws are. I’m trying to licence a used GSXR but I can’t use one of these light because it doesn’t have a reflector, like with the original on. Never mind that your light is bright and illuminates the Plate. Never mind that I have a tail light. The number plate reflects light. But because I don’t have a light and a reflector for the licence plate I can’t licence my bike. If I put the original light on I can. Then, after that, I can remove it and just put this light on no one will ever have an issue. But getting it passed I have to waste +$70 for an original item. And a Bike Wrecker in Victoria wants to charge $85 for a secondhand on, more than an original cost. GFY
What about using reflective license plate screws. It accomplishes what is required. We have red ones in stock. I am sure you can find these locally so you don't have to ship a simple item across the world. And they should cost five or so dollars. See if that will get you passed. Here is a link to our so you know what I'm talking about. tstindustries.com/tst-reflective-license-plate-mounting-hardware.html
yup yup lol
+Juice Ortiz thanks for all the yups
So hi I was just installing this light today and when I was checking the polarity with the cables I was a spark and all the light went off and won't come on again, any tips how to fix?
You blew a fuse. Resolve the short circuit cause, replace fuse, try again.
Thanks for responding, yeah I checked all the fuses and nothing wrong, I got the 2019 r1 so where do I check for the light fuses, I alresdy checked the fuse box located on the front left side and switch them up one by one and still all lights are off
