According to other reviewers, there is a hard cap to reach which apparently costs around $500USD in Korea, and the main gate is as you said time. There are items that are grind only so you can't even whale for them unless you're going to straight up buy equipment. The best weapons are Guild gated, since the best guilds will get the items from world bosses, and they get to choose if they spread them around the guild or sell it. From everything I've seen so far, it looks like NCSoft tried to salvage as much as possible from the garbage that the Lineage 3 mobile game when Korea told them to suck an egg in regard to them only churning out cash grab games with super p2w mechanics.
@@KAJYT6969 If I know anything about KR MMOs, this means that with time, its just going to gradually get worse as they slowly creep in the p2w bullshit until it's to KRs standards.
@@nicksmith516 Yes and no. Keep in mind in KR they were self published, but now it was picked up by Amazon Games and they're publishing it according to the western audience, which has much much less leniency for extreme pay to win, unlike eastern culture. It will be a lot less pay to win or they'll lose their audience, which they dont want.
@@KAJYT6969 If you had any reading comprehension skills, you would understand that I am not referring to the game singularly, but in regard to NCSoft the company. Just like Nexon and their fiasco regarding lying about gatcha rates, NCSoft also had their teeth kicked by people (KR, since who cares if Global cries about anything) for injecting TOO much P2W as their games progressed. Either way, the game is doomed just like Lost Ark. There will be a handful of top guilds whaling for a few months, bots will take over on launch, I'll be surprised if it holds 10k players like LA does atm.
Compairing Throne to GW2 feels like an insult to GW2. At best similarities derived from GW2 are a crude mimicry, withaout a time being put into understanding the tought behind the systems copied, and what makes them work in original game.
For a new series I think this was a promising first start, Azu. It’s always nice to try something new, and I see a lot of potential in more MMO reviews from you. As for Throne and Liberty, your review being a bit all over the place is a perfectly fitting way to go about reviewing an MMO like this. Because that’s the major vibe I took away from it after hearing about your experiences, Azu. It seems like an alright time and if I had a proper gaming PC, I probably would give it a crack, but it just kind of gives me the vibe of being something I would drop after a week or two, but it just doesn’t sing to me in the same way the games I currently play do. Which is a shame because I don’t think it looks terrible, graphically as well, it’s quite pleasant, but it just feels.. off, if that makes any sense. But I digress, this was a good watch.
Same people takes are are crazy 0the free to play is giving players that don't know what they are doing in an mmo and complain its not for them it's not casual enough
I might do just like you said drop a few hours in it just a wet my whistle that’s about that… but I subscribed because you’re no shit given attitude so you won my heart whatever that means to you 👍
I'm still on the fence about it, honestly. An NCSoft game not overtly and egregiously p2w is so weird to me ... on top of a KRMMO having one of the most lackluster combat systems ever. Something feels off, if you ask me. The art and design of the game is beautiful though, I'll give it that.
You’re the one who makes the build so combat is as fun or as bad as you make it if you blindly try all the weapons you’ll find a combination you enjoy and you’ll make a build around it, it also depends on what role you like to play in an mmo
Thanks for the review. Love your FFXIV videos and since I'm taking a break while waiting for the next patch, I appreciate getting info from someone that likes the same sort of stuff I do instead of someone with a sponsorship. I'm a PvE only player, so sounds like it won't last long for me, but I love me some pretty graphics so ll definitely give it a try
I play a tank as well and I thought the same thing with the taunt. Like wtf kinda garbage ass taunt is this?? Bad range and doesn't keep aggro at all. Yea you can stay on the boss and use it but otherwise it's bad imo.
I really wish these types of games respected your time more. GW2 and FFXIV are probably the most time-respecting MMOs IMO, which shows both the more action-combatey MMOs and classic MMOs *can* respect your time, its just a matter of the devs/publishers caring enough to respect it.
That's cool to hear, as a former BDO player. I'd like to try GW2 since hearing such good things about it in recent years. BDO is just too shit to go back to, the devs dropped a nuke on it and from what content creators have been saying, it seems they plan on continuing to drop nukes on it lol. FF14 put me to sleep, I can't play that game for more than 40 minutes without getting bored.
@@nicksmith516true, the leveling experience of FFXIV is really slow at the beginning and the ARR story is a bit tedious. Unironically, buying a story skip for ARR (and watching cutscenes later) made me fall in love with the game lol, as the production quality jumps up noticeably in the later expansions.
No, it's a shit video that does everything in it's power to seem uninterested in the game and doesn't even give it a fair try... I have no idea why UA-camrs make videos about games they don't wanna play and just make lazy ass work that surrounds itself around "don't play the game, it's a slop" while the dude plays FFXIV and calls it an MMO (you're playing a SOLO GAME that you never play with another player outside of raids, go play a single player RPG game cause they're way better than FFXIV at that) and says WoW is fairly monetized (WoW Tokens anyone???) and nobody on the whole fucking UA-cam has managed to understand that the monetization of this game is EXACTLY the same as Warframe (a western developed game that has been PRAISED for how F2P friendly it is)... meaning you can buy a ton of prime currency with real money to get the things you want but at the same time you can MAKE a ton of prime currency for free from selling you stuff... so this game rewards PLAYING the game way more than paying for the win... The man had the most bored fucking voice the whole video and the best thing he could say about the game (which is a great MMO btw and a TRADITIONAL MMO, not a bullshit solo questing game and the people that have played it have massively positive experiences and have had fun) was "if you play ESO or Guild Wars... you MIGHT be interested in this"... why even make the fucking video if you don't wanna talk about the game??? UA-camrs are the cheapest whores in the world these days...
Very informative video. I will give the game a shot as i am a long time player of games like ArcheAge and BDO so im not opposed to these type of systems but i also enjoy MMORPG's like WoW that are more PvE oriented way more so i guess i will see if it resonates with me or not
Im playing it but only until something else comes along. Was playing gw2 for the longest time but i found myself in world vs world like 90% of my time online and it just started feeling stale. Honestly im just bored as hell with the current mmos, just coping and hoping for the next one. Chrono Odyssey might be next after this game and then maybe Ashes of Creation by end of 2025 or beginning of 2026 😂
Loved this review, I was looking at this after spending hours on GW2. Now you've pointed out its essentially a P2W PVP gankfest then I'm out. Thank you for saving me time. It's about time corporations realise that PvP is not the be all and end all, and a lot of players are bored with it.
Honestly man thank you for the review. I was about to sink some of my free time and needed a real honest take on the game. I really appreciate your honesty and realistic expectations described. Keep up the good work!
I have played Throne and Liberty both Beta now fully released: Dude its already P2Win all over. Pay to Skip, pay for gears, pay for upgrades, pay for instant boost, Pay for skins. Game mechanic is crap, game loop is crap. This is an example video games are a shitter now this days. A cancer to the video gaming world. No sense of progression, No sense of accomplishments, No satisfaction for your play time and hardwork.. just Cash.. cash.. cash shop... Stay away if you don't want to be a plankton and get eaten by Whales as this game is a PvP focus endgame...
People are just dumb and reciting the same thing they heard some other dumbass say. The game locks you frkm buying raid or boss gear from the auction house so no domeone who swipes to get gear or upgrades wont be as strong as someone who went out to get it. Just enjoy rhe game like i am and let him fester in his stupidity @Mohawx28
@@mykeh8697 whoever says this game is not p2w is basically lying to himself :)) the only "lucky" thing if you can even say that you can't buy gear from shop just ah, so some player needs to get the item to sell which at least gives you some time as a f2p to get some gear :))). Honestly the only reason I play it is for the pvp, gvg, rifstone boonstone siege etc, not many mmos out there which are still mass pvp focused.
@@mykeh8697 I didn't say it wasn't p2win. Just saying f2p has a chance to gain the same credits a whale swipes for. It's a free game, going to try to enjoy it while I can instead of crying with the rest of you 🤣
I absolutely hate the combat system tbh. It's like NC asked ArenaNet if they could copy their homework from Guild Wars 2, but ended up making everything worse than the original.
I do agree with alot of points here , some people also forget the auction house is items players are selling and you unlock it very late into the game and the point of the game where you can farm that gear yourself , I feel like in terms or a regular mmo this is just worse then it’s competitors but for the PvP market I do feel like this is probably one of the best games for mmo PvP
If you like bots and real money trading that's the game for you. A funny thing is that this is the type of game are better on private servers because NCSoft can't manage their game.
I played Throne and Liberty and got my character to 50 with a wand and a bow. I'm not really feeling the game and once I got to 50, I didn't really find anything worth working towards. Nothing in endgame is really appealing and like any Korean game, you're just grinding to level your armor and skills which isn't really fun at all.
Good to see a review without the hype. Personally a little bit done with typical MMOs, had a great time playing them but there's nothing really exciting about most of them currently. Nothing really has changed, or become deeper in the past ten years.
Thought this game looked great and was looking forward to play it until I seen the word NCSoft, at that point all my enthusiasm and interest just disappeared.
Hey, this video was what I was looking for, I appreciate you doing a an in-depth playthrough and review that covers the game's structure, this felt like slop to me right away but I'm not willing to go find out in the late game myself, by level 15 I already have the perception of this is a time soak/drip style MMO, which I do not recommend, there are better options out there.
thank your for the video, it just came at the right time for me. I really thought it would turn up how you described it so you confirmed my worries. I might try it tomorrow if I don't have anything to do but it's probably just gonna be a one time thing.
1-50 already? that short? not even a week's worth of MSQ? well one way to find out since its free tomorrow. hopefully its worth the download at the least.
First of all I think your way to make videos DO give them a nice bit of personality so sure maybe a little more structure would be welcome, but remember that we watch your channel because of who you are, or at least I do, keep up the good work
Regarding the morphs I like the idea but I don't like the fact you automatically turns back into human while you stop moving. So...what's the point of spending time or money to get these morphs when I can barely see them?
I been playing & its actually fun, the world is huge, combat is at least decent with improvements coming. Skill customization is very expansive with a lot to learn & the community of players in all the different towns within the game make it pretty dope. Lots of events and boss fights. PvP is sweaty, but everyone has some sort of weakness so not one weapon class type overpowers everyone collectively. Def worth trying.
It's not great, it's not terrible, it's P2W no matter what anyone says, played the game for a good long while with my friends it lacks lore, lacks character, It lacks what makes an MMO an MMO worth investing your time. Fun to start with, then it gets pretty boring.
They really need to fix their combat system or everyone will quit very early on. 90% of what you do in mmos involves some form of combat. So if the combat isnt good you will lose a lot of people even if the rest of the games systems are good
Mastry is the only thing that’s a letdown if you swap weapons but it’s not that big a deal certainly doesn’t make you more powerful. I mean yes it does but it’s not that big a deal when you swap weapons to start getting your mastery again you’re already going to be doing things like contracts and you get mastery just from using the weapon as well, sometimes feel like people pick up a game UA-camr in particular just so they can find things to bitch about instead of thinking about the fact that the game is beautiful. It performs almost every other MMO in large scale situations you’re gonna have 50 people on the screen and not even notice any kind of lag Every time I never did PVP but I have to lag as fuck too because I’m console just running my horse from ADB I would go to fill up my drink and come back and find my character and horse standing still because the screen is still trying to render in front of me. I haven’t noticed any optimization issues with this game dimension the graphics are beautiful far better than black desert, I mean, way way better fast traveling is nearly instantaneous. The traversal methods are innovative I mean instead of magically, pulling a horse out your ass or leaving it standing here and there which is also unrealistic I mean, there’s monsters everywhere and your horses safe standing there on the road, so magically, you know because we have magic flying swimming or gliding swimming and sprinting as as a morph innovative not saying they’re the first that have done some kind of morph but later on when you get guardians and and all of that very innovative shit talking about good things UA-camrs tend to be Debbie downer and that all they wanna do is make controversy and talk about negative shit how about this is the first time I’m old that has come out on console. Incredible MMO in years, I mean I’m saying years the last credible MMO come out on console was Elder scrolls talking about some of the good shit instead of whining about shit that really isn’t that important by the master of weapons you have so many resources that you decide to change you’ll be able to level up a complete set
It doesn't surprise me that it's just another clone. I kind of had a feeling from it having such a generic art style, but at least I know for sure it isn't for me now
@@AzuriteTVHelpie gave the game the soul that made me want to keep playing. Why they decide that you don't need Helpie anymore not even 5 hours into the story is a question I still don't have an answer for. Like... you already have a sloppy game, and now you remove the one thing preventing me form uninstalling? Who made that decision?
Every time I look at another MMO or XIV I just think "I just want a new FFXI". Hands down the best but it's best days are behind it unless you play the Horizon XI servers. The difference is a bit night and day since the retail version now essentially allows you to solo 90% of the content with companion AI and Horizon XI brings it back to "Hope you got a lot of time and an LS and events scheduled at least 4 days a week!"
I just got done trying the game myself and my problem was that I was expecting to be eased into the mechanics with like two or three buttons to press at once but personally I found the prologue very frustrating because I was just spammed with so many button prompts, so many skills at once and it was overwhelming to me(I do have a disability). Not entirely new to the genre either as I guess you could say I dropped elder scrolls online for this because of the other game just being complete bs when it comes to boss fights so I thought throne and liberty would be more like my kind of thing but yes combat was seemingly easier but it was just so many things on screen and like I said it was overwhelming and I couldn't get into it and I did really want to like it. Just wasn't for me I guess
I am not a big fan of the game. Combat severely holds it back for me. The fluidity just isn't there. I also don't feel like the abilities flow well into combat either.
@@atvkid0805 I may have been commenting to the other person who responded but I cannot see their comment anymore. I actually agree with your original comment. Apologies.
Hey great and honest review ! Indeed this game is more of a niche game centered around pvp, if you want to only pve this game will definetly be boring, it has DECENT pve at best. Yeah the p2w is an issue, especially if you get a full guild of them haha. Also all the game is centered around group content, even farming in open world dungeons or whatever needs a group or you ll just be wasting time at that point. The only "good" thing is that you can only p2w in the auction house(thank god) and you can t just straight up go to the shop and get everything, so at least the server needs to progress enough to be able to put those items there for whales to buy. Some of the best items in the game ar gated by guilds, most hardcore guilds won't even allow the sale of those weapons for months.
Actually have targeted Evan Moses for decades included animations that lock you in place when you’re casting it’s not a new concept. This is not an action game in an action game. There’s generally no animation locking in tab hard that there’s almost always abilities that animation lock you shouldn’t feel bad about it because that’s the way. These games are designed on top of that most of the animation locks have specialization to either mitigate or eliminate the issue like, the sniper one with the bow locks you in place and tell you released the arrow which you can do it anytime but fully charged it does more damage of the specialization which is almost mandatory because you know if you have a tank in your tank, draws the shit you’re shooting at away from you with aggro and it goes out of range. Then your ability will just trunk and you’ll have to move recast That annoying the fact that there’s no forgiveness in that system I mean it’s like hard and fast. They’re right in range or now they’re out of range and the ability stops, but you can move so if it’s moving away from you, you can follow it and I feel certain I don’t look through a lot of abilities, but I feel certain that a lot of those abilities that have animation locking have a node in the specializationto do away with it or to mitigate it significantly, but you shouldn’t be confused by it because animation is a feature of tab target combat
i haven't been playing MMO's for long time, but i was kinda hyped for this one but damn. For me crashing since day one Unreal Engine 4 problem, i see people saying it's P2W which makes me sad for real hahahah had high hopes but now I don't know what to say

1:03 tldr if you've ever played any mobile MMO it's the exact same thing without all the automation if you have played any of the big three it's kind of like you're a typical MMO fanfare with guild wars 2 combat and I'm kind of surprised that they have cinematic cutscenes voice acting and you can see your character in the cutscenes. If you've never played any MMO before or just some of the older ones that weren't the big three like your standard grindfest or whatever I mean this is a fun time waster and it's not as bad as other games and the pay to win parts people are complaining about is only going to be relevant if you want to be number one if you don't want to be number one in PvP the pay to win is hardly anything. In the winning part is usually just you progressing faster people complain about you being able to use premium currency in the auction house but like literally guild wars 2 allows you to trade for gold which you can trade for premium currency which would be no different than you buying it trading it for gold and then buying whatever you want on the auction house. but you don't hear anybody complaining that guild wars 2 is pay to win in that game does have PVP. But yeah anybody who's ever played any mobile MMO will recognize this game for what it is immediately I feel like it's just like genshin impact they took a phone game marketed towards PC players because they know that most of them have probably never played a fun game and wouldn't even recognize it for what it was
Level 1 to 50 should not take a weekend in an MMO. It should take months of daily gaming - questing and clearing dungeons - exploring a huge and beautiful world. A world you want to live in.
This game far better then new world and it ain’t even that bad a f2p players have shit on whales with max gear while people had green gear it depends on your stats and how u build it every class will have a weakness and u will get slapped by someone who counters u
So you’re in the waiting room for a game that failed once and had way more p2w aspects when it was active than this game does? Instead of trying a f2p game because someone who terminally plays ff14 a game that has a sub, a cash shop, paid name changes, paid server changes, a paid retainer service, and even an app with an optional sub doesn’t like it?
comparing this combat to GW2 is an insult to GW2, srly I've never played a MMO with such clunky combat before, and it makes sense when you discover that it was tackled on last minute because of the bad feedback from beta

@@socram3254 You're fine! And that's totally understandable, it's super clunky and I do mention that later into the combat section, I admit I could of worded it better earlier into the video

Oh normally, you get six from the story but yes apparently you can transfer from server to server and every time you transfer I don’t know if you have to go to a new server to get them or just back-and-forth and given that until like October 30 we’re getting two free transfer tickets every day you know that’s that’s a pretty no no-brainer transfer transfer back transfer transfer backor transfer transfer someone else into tomorrow get two more transfer to other plumbing. You can pile them up on that before we stopped getting these free server transfers
It's a shame, with how much it offered in the trailers and how long I'd kept my eyes out for it, just to turn out like another BDO... Ah well... There's always Ashes of Creation right? 🥴
Dude Final Fantasy 14 as much as it if they advertise it as this great fucking thing that’s taken over MMO‘s team is only ever seen 95,000 people online. This game has more people online than that right this minute and I realize that Final Fantasy has past more than one launcher, but even if there’s three ways to launch it on PC, it still doesn’t measure up I mean shit I’m currently there are well over 100,000 people playing it at three in the morning Eastern time you’re making assumptions and predictions that just aren’t gonna hold up everybody who played MMO’s over the years has been waiting for this kind of old-school MMO
There’s absolutely no illusion of choice you can make whatever build you want for both VVE and PVP. The only real hard stops are if you’re choosing tank if you pick the tank slot on a dungeon, you better be on a character with the sword and shield and you better primarily be focusing on drawing aggro and tanking damage if you’re taking the healer, you better be a better have a wand either in your main or offhand, probably offhand and you better be concentrating on cursing and buffing and healing but you can choose whatever output you want with either of those but when you’re doing dungeons, you better play your role everybody wants to be a DPS so we never lack for DPS so better than others at it but we never lack for people that want DPS if you choose you better be healing you and maybe go so far to block you for tank you can’t take up the tank in the dungeon unless you’re going to tank that’s the only time you need to worry about it else the fuck you want just your character then have fun. Just don’t do it in a dungeon, or any kind of group match made content or other people are depending on you to play that role that you locked up by choosing it you know if you have a wand and a staff and you want to do damage but you still feel like you’ll be healing and buffing, but you don’t wanna focus on healing and buffing then choose a DPS role because you can still dig it out The proper case is going to be a bow and something because with a bow, your utility healer nature blessing is actually a pretty good fucking heel you upgraded it massive regeneration big AOE healers weak. The guy on the boat can help but he can’t carry don’t don’t take a bow because you’re not a healer you’re a DPS fact, one of the highest DPS weapons in the game, but you’re DPS that has a pretty good heal
Chivalry 2 keeps their battle passes available indefinitely. You can choose to pick it up at anytime not to mention the paid currency can be earned in said pass to get others later for free. I agree, fomo is a disgusting practice.
Agenda you can literally go with the first four abilities as they are soon as you install a weapon let’s say you think that you want your gameplay to be staff dagger put the staff in your main hand, put the dagger in your off hand install the floor abilities from each of those into your bar And go kill shit while you’re killing shit you’ll be gathering resources but don’t use them. They’re not needed at this point if you decide hey I don’t really like the staff. You wanna try the dagger bow both skills you’re going to use your toolbar and go to shed and find a combo that works, and let’s say you think you do you’re in the blue range. It’s not that big fucking deal to make a choice of decision at that point to swap over first of all you will barely have any mastery levels almost maybe two or 34 so it’s not that big deal to swap that out and your biggest source of entry is going to be from doing contracts anyway, you get the mastery do things that gives you massive amounts like 10,000 mastery sometimes times five or 10 or how many of things you end up getting it’s not that big fucking deal you guys are inflating the drama about what happens if you fuck up and choose the wrong weapon I mean worst case scenario you got two character slots, right? Delete your character and start over. Just don’t get too attached to your characters name because whatever name your character had. If you deleted that name is forever locked keep that in mind you’ll never permanently locked. You’ll never be able to use it again, which is going to become a problem, I watch Thor trying to name the other day like two days ago two or three days ago and already it’s getting impossible to find words people haven’t already chosen
I ran out of stuff to do. What I mean is , there is stuff I can do, but I see no point in doing it. No story tied to them, no unlocks. I spend hours in the open world dungeons just getting blue items to serve no useful purpose to me now. 3 instanced dungeons a day limit... Game is pretty, music fine. Tab Target combat is the most boring to me, but I still have some MMORPGs that I still consider good despite that. Instanced Dungeons are piss boring too. The bosses are unintuitive one hit kill mechanic bosses that you have to either read or watch a video to understand their mechanics. Some are ok, a couple are genuinely fun. The rest are bleh. I am only playing because my friend is really into it. But it's not working for me.
Isn’t finally fantasy a game where you literally can’t move while channeling certain skills like as a red mage or blue mage whatever. I think the only game that really allows you to move while casting fully is ESO I’m sure they’re some skills in FF14 that can and I know there are passives and skill morphs that improve this but it is a pretty common style in these games. I thought the combat felt much more fluid and much more fast paced than FF14.did comparing starter FF14 to starter T&L. I do agree the tap targeting is trash when enemies are on top of you it’s like the camera just can’t pick them up. I’d say the busted UI is much more annoying then the actually gameplay atm.
Why not just rebuild Lineage 2 world with modern graphics? Maybe tweak mechanics a bit, but keep me away from learning new set of classes, roles, items, mechanics, etc
I was interested in playing this game, installed and played a couple of hours with some friends then realized I couldn't stand the yarn doll following me around. What is the purpose of that shit??

I hated the combat system just felt weird stopped playing after a day, might give it another try sometime later
I've played it for 37 hours so far enjoying it so far
Same people takes are are crazy 0the free to play is giving players that don't know what they are doing in an mmo and complain its not for them it's not casual enough
I might do just like you said drop a few hours in it just a wet my whistle that’s about that… but I subscribed because you’re no shit given attitude so you won my heart whatever that means to you 👍
I'm still on the fence about it, honestly. An NCSoft game not overtly and egregiously p2w is so weird to me ... on top of a KRMMO having one of the most lackluster combat systems ever. Something feels off, if you ask me. The art and design of the game is beautiful though, I'll give it that.
its free... trust play it. you will enjoy it. Past the tutorial and enjoy that intro cutscen.
You’re the one who makes the build so combat is as fun or as bad as you make it if you blindly try all the weapons you’ll find a combination you enjoy and you’ll make a build around it, it also depends on what role you like to play in an mmo
@@100percentNotaBot Eh, the combat design itself is very very bland. Doesn't matter the weapon. Just a personal preference thing.
@saikame5833 get to skill specialization and you'd change your mind, literally lv 15 introduces it. Combats not bad at all
I found the combat to be terrible, I expected a lot more. Having to select the target that is beside you is just stupid design.
You can turn on auto attack on nearest enemy in the settings
Thanks for the review. Love your FFXIV videos and since I'm taking a break while waiting for the next patch, I appreciate getting info from someone that likes the same sort of stuff I do instead of someone with a sponsorship. I'm a PvE only player, so sounds like it won't last long for me, but I love me some pretty graphics so ll definitely give it a try
Damn brother, good video and it starts off with more of that sweet sweet FF11 music. Bravo
Honestly my appreciation for FFXIV only goes up when I play other MMO's lmao
FFXIV respects your time? Lmao what a joke.
Really? Wasn’t the community literally raking SE over the coals for DT’s story feeling like a waste of time?
Nice video! To be honest that game went completely past me and I didn't even knew it got released.
I don't like the MMORPGs that go to PvP heavy. PvE story content is where it is at.
You know you can earn Lucent as a f2p player and buy gears, upgrades and what not too...
I knew a defender wasn’t far from this comment lol when I saw 1 reply I knew it was just that
@@mykeh8697 whoever says this game is not p2w is basically lying to himself :)) the only "lucky" thing if you can even say that you can't buy gear from shop just ah, so some player needs to get the item to sell which at least gives you some time as a f2p to get some gear :))).
Thank you for the info man it was much needed "Liked an Subbed" 👍
Good to see a review without the hype. Personally a little bit done with typical MMOs, had a great time playing them but there's nothing really exciting about most of them currently. Nothing really has changed, or become deeper in the past ten years.
Thought this game looked great and was looking forward to play it until I seen the word NCSoft, at that point all my enthusiasm and interest just disappeared.
so ncsoft has a reputation?
the intro is just Azu doing the SNIFFA
Hey, this video was what I was looking for, I appreciate you doing a an in-depth playthrough and review that covers the game's structure, this felt like slop to me right away but I'm not willing to go find out in the late game myself, by level 15 I already have the perception of this is a time soak/drip style MMO, which I do not recommend, there are better options out there.
1:22 You gotta love the shameless confession 😂
Solid review. Well argued, well presented. Subscribed.
thank your for the video, it just came at the right time for me. I really thought it would turn up how you described it so you confirmed my worries. I might try it tomorrow if I don't have anything to do but it's probably just gonna be a one time thing.
I'm a recovering addict thank you, oh wait I started playing ffxiv again... guess I've been relapsing.
1-50 already? that short? not even a week's worth of MSQ? well one way to find out since its free tomorrow. hopefully its worth the download at the least.
I've put 19 hours in and it's been pretty fun. And I'm only level 30. If you actually play the game, you won't run out of content
You can get level 50 in like, 16h of rushing story
First of all I think your way to make videos DO give them a nice bit of personality so sure maybe a little more structure would be welcome, but remember that we watch your channel because of who you are, or at least I do, keep up the good work
I really like the BG3 music in the background of the video.
Exactly people aren't give it a chance "oh no it looks like a mobile game" then won't give it a try
It's not great, it's not terrible, it's P2W no matter what anyone says, played the game for a good long while with my friends it lacks lore, lacks character, It lacks what makes an MMO an MMO worth investing your time. Fun to start with, then it gets pretty boring.
Game is just shit, bad gear progression and all is blocked on timed events, you cant do shit when u want.
True end game is daily copy pastę dungeons and Waiting 2 hours for pvp event when big guild come and take over nothing to do only guild content
Played FF14 for 5+ years and I always hoped they make the combat system better...still shet so I might try this lol
If this type of game is more your speed you may like Guild Wars 2
FF14 Combat system engine is at their limit now, Yoshi has stated it tons of times, they did what they could.
Bruh the combat in this is how FF14 should have been, its literally an upgrade. the active blocking system makes this game's combat a gem. So, good.
It doesn't surprise me that it's just another clone. I kind of had a feeling from it having such a generic art style, but at least I know for sure it isn't for me now
Just more slop sadly
@@AzuriteTVHelpie gave the game the soul that made me want to keep playing.
Why they decide that you don't need Helpie anymore not even 5 hours into the story is a question I still don't have an answer for.
Like... you already have a sloppy game, and now you remove the one thing preventing me form uninstalling? Who made that decision?
Every time I look at another MMO or XIV I just think "I just want a new FFXI". Hands down the best but it's best days are behind it unless you play the Horizon XI servers. The difference is a bit night and day since the retail version now essentially allows you to solo 90% of the content with companion AI and Horizon XI brings it back to "Hope you got a lot of time and an LS and events scheduled at least 4 days a week!"
you did well
I just got done trying the game myself and my problem was that I was expecting to be eased into the mechanics with like two or three buttons to press at once but personally I found the prologue very frustrating because I was just spammed with so many button prompts, so many skills at once and it was overwhelming to me(I do have a disability).
It looks like a gatcha mobile game
Ok you convinced me this game is not worth playing too hard for noobs
Its not that its hard, the gamplay is too boring and jank. Anyone can drop 100 hours in a hard game if its fun.
I am not a big fan of the game. Combat severely holds it back for me. The fluidity just isn't there. I also don't feel like the abilities flow well into combat either.

Yeah it has controller support and even released on consoles
Im not gonna sweat on it like i did new world but ill play it. Just not a huge korea mmo fan. Theyre always meh with annoying amounts of menus for no reason
thank u bro
But yeah anybody who's ever played any mobile MMO will recognize this game for what it is immediately I feel like it's just like genshin impact they took a phone game marketed towards PC players because they know that most of them have probably never played a fun game and wouldn't even recognize it for what it was
All said...... like this way of Review!
Is the PvP arena gear based?
Level 1 to 50 should not take a weekend in an MMO. It should take months of daily gaming - questing and clearing dungeons - exploring a huge and beautiful world. A world you want to live in.
Looks generic AF
thanks for suffering for us. its what i thought it would be p2w trash for the whales. still waiting for new world

Its alot of fun so far!
dehrp duhhrr do derpa derpa duhhhhhrrr!

The combat is so bad and clunky with way too many skills, i quit after several hours
So I should stick to new world 🤔
Is it better than New World in it’s prime?
It’s just a an easier new world by the looks of it. Nothing will top new world arenas
I was interested in playing this game, installed and played a couple of hours with some friends then realized I couldn't stand the yarn doll following me around. What is the purpose of that shit??
