I guess I should've put a disclaimer, but I thought it was obvious. Since these aren't full-fledged fakemon, I decided to not make them in Pokemon's official style. (Most artists didn't make final artwork for their evo swaps as well) I stopped after the sketch phase. That may be the reason some of you felt the designs were off in this video. They will be back to normal in my next art based video.

I like to imagine that the corviknight is relatively defensive, but has a hard time flying and it slowly “comes out of its shell” as it evolves.

I love this concept, at first I was thinking of literal versions of devolution like blaziken turning into a dinosaur, but this is super awesome too, I think the rookidee was my favourite!
I think baby Sogaleo is my favorite baby form. Fierce, cuddly looking, seems like he has something to prove. 😊
Now if you were to do Lunala, would it just be a cosmic baby bat posed as a circle…?

My take on the reverse Corviknight to Rookidee evolution is that Corviknight hatched from a metal egg and incorporated parts of it into its body for protection. As it evolved, it outgrew its armor and learned to defend itself with speed and trickery instead.
This was awesome. I think making the wings bigger on the baby Salamance might help make it less of a chibi version, and more of a baby version. Like oversized wings, the way puppies have oversized ears/paws..? Just an idea, your work is amazing. Thanks for the video, Ron 🙏
I actually like this idea of these oversized wings that aren’t actually helping salamence and just slowing it down, so it sheds its wings and leans into the more intimidating dragon lizard aspect

Okay, so now Ron's rolling with this trend aswell, it's actually pretty interesting
The concept is certainly an interesting one. While maybe a bit ridiculous to think about, still very fun to play around with. Think I'd give baby Crustle my overall favourite in the video, and Corviknight/Rookidee my favourite from yours. Though all of them are incredible, and Solgaleo/Cosmog was probably the overall best.
I think the cosmog final evo should have spiritomb's evil face, just so it doesn't look like a baby anymore. It will also fit the black hole concept as something that is actualy dangerous.

One thing I like to imagine with these: swapping the evolutions don't mean they'd wind up the same types as before.
An example of a design idea... imagine chibi Charizard, but turning the 'wings' into layered scales for a godzilla like hardened hide Charmander, possibly with the flames of the tail trailing up the tail.
Or for Bulbasaur, have it be a 'cool nighttime frog', the warts on it shining like glow lights, since the closed bulb hints at night time/night life.
And for Squirtle... imagine little hints of smaller cannons used as thrusters while flattening and lengthening the edges of the shell to hint not towards armor... but towards speed. Even flattening the head slightly while retaining the smoothness of Squirtle's head.

You can probably make an event in your fakemon region were it's like 'Reverse world' or 'Reverse safari' were you can catch these pokemon and maybe some others.
that prevo Greninja is giving me huge Kamen Rider vibes. I think it's mostly the tongue scarf, but the pose reminds me a bit of Den-O as well.

Salamance: Baby Dragon Pokemon
Salamance's wings are too small, to keep them above ground for long time. Sometimes, they just dream about being huge, intimidating walking creatures.
Bagon: Dinosaur Pokemon
After believing in themselves, Shelgon evolves. Bagons become huge intimidating dinosaurs walking on land. They usually scare other pokemon, but they don't have bad intentions.
Shelgon: Shell Pokemon
When Salamance give up on trying to fly for long, they evolve into Shelgon. Shelgons hide in their shell being sure, that their dream of being huge stomping on the land is urealistic.

A cool direction to go with the corviknight swap would be to have the first form be like an egg, the hard armor making up a shell that protects it. Middle stage would have the same armor, but it would be tight and constraining, like the trope of a warrior who wears armor to hold back their power to keep others safe. And then the final evolution is the bird fully unrestrained in its speed and power.
What a unique idea. I would love to see something like this in a main series game. It would be called like, paradox fusion or something. Such a cool concept.

For the baby versions you were unsure of, I honestly would've suggested that you round off some of the sharper edges.
All i can imagine for the baby solgaleo one is it saying “rawr”
I love the designs but I have a feeling they could be pushed a bit more. Like take more risks in terms of changing up the designs. An example I'm thinking for like Salamence if it took a more Zubat/Golbat like approach with smaller or no limbs but keep the big wings and for Bagon add more details and sharpness to its arms, basically swapping the features as well... If this trend is still going on I'd love to give it a go it looks fun!

I think one fun way to measure your designs for two stage mons, is to place the already existing middle stage and place it between your evo swaps to see if the final form and first form look different enough to it ;)
I like the Froakie/Greninja evo-swap. Because it feels more like it took the path of becoming a monk rather than a ninja.

i like to think that solgaleo was just a cosmic shell thats kinda robotic in nature, and when it evolves it cracks that shell, releasing the powerful energy it brewed up inside becoming the black hole (it would've been cool if it had hands but thats just me) Cosmog
