Watching this video as preparing for a week long course next week, where I will (hopefully) finally pass. I really like how calm you are and how calm you are in all videos I've seen. So far, I've very much been under the guidance of stressy instructors, one who used to have delayed reactions or try and come up with something that I supposedly didn't do right, constantly - couldn't be bothered to move on to teach new things until I had perfected the last. Everyone has different learning styles, and unfortunately for me I'm a 'crammer' - learn everything in one go, then revise and practice practice practice. I lose interest when I learn slowly or over a long period of time. It's good to see instructors out there who are calm and understanding!
did you pass? I have had a similar situation, except I’ve been messed about for 4 years now… crappy instructors, covid delays and many reschedules. switching to auto and got a 15 hour intensive coming up soon, hope you passed!
I very much like the way you've integrated the leg movements video of your students, as this is the key reason, why most people can't handle a manual transmission.
got my test in a month, have about 10 hours with an instructor, I'm 28 and have always put it off. Lauren's head checks with the indicator was v impressive.
Me personally I don’t like doing a mock test just before a driving test unless it’s a short notice! I find it can make things worse and effect the pupils confidence if they don’t do that well plus unnecessary pressure and could make them tired before doing the actual test and effect there concentration! Although I didn’t watch the full video judging by some of the comments she’s seems very competent. Anyone taking a test soon good luck stay calm just make sure your well prepared and ready! 👍
Wow, that parallel park was so smooth! 🥰 I done my first parallel park today on my driving lesson, if I can end up like Lauren then I will be a happy girl haha! A great mock test 💞

Since marked parallel parking bays alongside roads have a fixed length(*) and parallel parking without any makings also tends to arrange itself such that single-car-sized gaps are created when a previously parked vehicles leaves, being able to reverse parallel park into something with a fixed length is quite an important skill. Nice job, as long as she keeps focused on driving and stays modest I'm sure she will keep doing well (I certainly wasn't a sensible driver after I passed). I liked how calm, decisive and assertive Lauryn was when dealing with most of the hazards. With time and experience a bit of extra polish should come and she will hopefully become an excellent driver. No doubt your tuition was excellent. I am not sure about the rules these days with electric handbrakes, but there was some rollback at the beginning on the uphill takeoff. Seems the E-brake button was only used when parking up. I know sometimes some cars deploy them automaticlly. Mercedes has never been known for brilliant handbrakes so maybe they haven't perfected it in your car now either. I remember the old foot operated beasts, drove an E250 with one. Luckily I have one of the last cars made with a fully mechanical handbrake lever, a 2016 Mini. and it is easy to use.
