The box IS rare and you normally get 25k and it was 50k for this event, i found a box 5 years ago when nobody knew or found it often..I ran over one half buried on a beach while dodging falling rocks. We had no clue what it was at the time..
During my Ashen expedition I found 4 boxes of wonderous secrets, 2 Ashen wind skulls, a chest of legend, a Ashen chest of legend, a few of those scrolls, 4 of all seeing eyes and a bunch of mid value loot. Hope that Rare does more special events like this with cosmetics as limited rewards. One event I would like to see maybe during the weekend of National talk like a pirate day is one with stuff like the Skeleton captain bounty voyages having double the captains for example.
When I was doing the Special Event Ashen Quest, most of the bottles I found were on the big islands. However, after I scuttled my Sloop the one time I did find a ashen bottle quest on a small island. So it is possible, but not likely.
I found quite a few of reapers boxes which pee'd me off and would just leave them at Morrow Peaks and let the vulture sloops take them.. Found about 6 or 7.
A good haul but it could be better though. Found 4 boxes of wondrous secrets and managed to deliver 3 of them during the whole duration of the event...

I enjoyed this event and got to see parts of the islands without being trampolined into the sky. 😂 Was a nice change of pace to explore.

I loved this event did about 12 maps made about 2 mill. Pretty nice. Not to mention a few gold skellys as well

I was sick and only got to play for the sword before dying, I hope it happens again when I’m free to grind it one day.

I got a box of wondrous secrets though I had a ton of junk as well. So many low tier ashen chests..
I got one as a solo but on the way to sell was intercepted by a brig. That one hurt lol
