@@JaydenWong Jayden, My first trip to Hong Kong is October 23 to 26, 2012 via Cathay Pacific. It was a Boeing 747-400 (both Manila-Hong Kong and Hong Kong-Manila). I was Grade 5 that time. I've been to Hong Kong thrice. I'm from Manila, Philippines.
Nice review, I agree Lounge was dissappointing, surprising they have free WiFi, tea and biscuits is very English! Well done. Looking forward for next review and many more to come...
The only disappointing thing for me was the legroom, I didn't expect a great lounge experience haha. Thanks a lot for watching and have a lovely weekend :D
Great take off vision again !! Lovely day for flying !! Well done Jayden...shame about the leg room but a great flight toward the end with the views!! Great review and welcome to Canada!!
The first row after business is where you want to be. I flew to DCA in business (2A) and returned back to IND in MCE(8F) and the legroom in 8F was brilliant.
Dear Jayden another great video from OWF leading to the weekend soon-ish. I would not have enjoyed this trip very much and grateful that you showed us the trip so that I didn't have to exeperince it personally. Looking forward to another new video! Take care, regards Hsiang
Hi another nice and comprehensive review from you, Jayden. It is interesting to see how they use stairs for boarding in the US, very different from what i see in Asia. The view during take off was cool! I was a bit taken aback by how you need to pay for certain food item when you already have lounge access.
Thanks Yoel! It wasn't even stairs haha, just slopes that guide you from the ground to the plane, I don't even know what it's called 😂 But it's definitely innovative and user friendly!
Thanks for watching! I found the space to be tighter onboard this aircraft even though the pitch is the same on Qantas, my knees don't touch the seat in front of me on Qantas and even Jetstar but it did on AA Embraer. I think this is because the seat itself is really thick. And no I didn't break the table 😝Thanks again and have a great weekend!
Thanks for another flight review Jayden. Looks like a mediocre experience overall, but that`s the nature of flying domestically within North America. It comes as a great surprise to me that you are expected to pay for the better food options in any airline lounge. I also find it offensive that passengers are ignored by the cabin crew upon boarding and disembarking. Looking forward to your 17th flight of 2019!!
Thanks a lot for watching as always! I was so excited when I picked up the menu, of course assuming everything was free, but then they list the price $$$ as well...
Philippine Airlines serves inflight hot meal on a 2 hour flight to Hong Kong. Cathay just serve a Pastry and Cookie in a small paper bag. (Shares trait with Taipei route)
Great review, Jayden. Glad you liked the flight overall. The standards on domestic flights in the US are different than what you see on Cathay or Qantas. Real food isn’t served in economy unless you pay for it. Snacks are the only thing given fir free, even on long flights across the US. Also, legroom tends to be pretty tight, especially on regional jets. I hope you enjoyed your short visit to the US!
Thanks heaps, Mike!! The gentleman next to me was probably 5-10cm taller than me, I felt bad for him haha. And of course, I enjoyed my US trip so much :D
Thank-you for your post, Jayden. Again, this is Guerry to provide you with another Pulitzer Prize winning comment for you and your viewers’ pleasure. I am certain that when you closed your eyes on this flight, you immediately thought you were flying on Cathay Pacific. Actually, I thought you were too kind with your evaluation, but I appreciate your thoughtfulness. On the other hand, I tend to be blatantly honest, and honesty dictates that flying on US carriers, especially domestically is an exercise in tolerating discomfort. But I do not blame the US airlines themselves. For the highest priority I have found in my country regarding air travel is on finding the least expensive flights, with the next priority being a distant second. In fact, it is almost as if US air travelers would rather sit on milking stools than pay an extra dollar to have a nice seat. But since the airlines are not charity organizations, severe cuts in service are to be expected, such as: small pitch, unkempt lavatories, the most meager of snacks/food service, aircraft cleanliness, and a host of other shortcomings. Personally, I think it is rather sad and would by all means wish to see service be restored as a priority and the means by which the US carriers competed. As I have stated in my comments to you in the past, but do not mind repeating myself, I have no qualms paying extra to fly comfortably. This is also why I am so impressed with the east Asian airlines you have reviewed and if flying on a transpacific flight, I will opt for an east Asian carrier over a US one. LAX is not my favorite airport, ESPECIALLY if I have to change terminals. For with a change of terminals comes negotiating another leisurely stroll through airport security. Although I have not a lot of experience with different airports in the US, I would have to rate Dallas and Atlanta as the easiest ones to traverse. However, I have found that using a major airport in a large city as an origin or final destination is a further test of patience due to the number of people it serves. My preference is again to pay more for my tickets to fly out of a smaller airport just to avoid the crowds. Although I could comment on more of what I viewed in your video, I’ll save it for another chapter. Again, I appreciate your kindness and the time you took to prepare this post for our enjoyment.
Hi Guerry! Sorry I have to keep this reply short as I'm currently in university doing exam revisions! I, too, don't mind paying a little bit more for better food and seats. Sometimes, it turns out the cheaper the better in Asia! Cost effective is very important since airlines do their catering with a substantial amount, they won't be too expensive. Cathay was suffering financially last year, but they were able to bring back full meals on their HK-Taipei flights. I hated my arrival experience at LAX. I went outside and had no idea which bus to catch to get to my hotel, it was extremely busy and stressful being there.
Jayden, excellent review - as always. I hope you get the chance to one day fly on the A220. It's a nice aircraft and a formidable competitor to the Embraer, although the 2nd generation (E2s) are supposed to be on par. I flew on a Swiss Airlines A220 last year and it was an enjoyable experience. Delta is the only North American carrier that currently flies the type, soon to be followed by Air Canada, and in Asia, Korean Air. I'd like to request, given the opportunity, that you do a review on the A220 sometime in the near future.
Hi again, currently catching up with your videos: I cant imagine if asian size (how tall are you?) like you cant fit in well, how would they fit typical gwai lo size onboard?
@@JaydenWong thst was tall for asian. My height is 170cm and i already start complaining 😂😂😂😂😂😅 if stuck in narrow seat i will start praying hard that the seat next to me is empty so i can hog it😂
Noo i have missed this vid!! Yeah, i flew 2 years ago with their e175, but there was one broblem. My legs didn't fit there so i put my legs in the other seat legroom.(I'm 191cm tall) It was really bad flight :D
Hahaha I can’t believe the legroom was that bad!!! After all, North American people are tall people but they have some of the tightest seats on earth! Thanks for watching!
Jayden!! I want to be part of the one world flyer squad haha #OWFSquad. Also it is interesting to see that AA uses such a small plane to operate flights between two big cities LAX and YVR
hey #owfsquad!! Yeah I thought 737/320 would be the smallest planes flying on this route, and the norm would be 787/767 lol. I was so wrong 😂 thanks Samuel :D
I think Air Canada and Westjet dominate the market share hence the regional AA planes. Likewise Toronto-New York is ER140/175 on two even bigger/closer cities
Great review Jayden. I’m not sure what exactly the situation was but I find it extremely rude when passengers are ignored by flight attendants when they are boarding/disembarking. At least the gate agent was friendly. In my domestic Aus experiences both gate agents and FAs are very friendly, on the rare occasion the gate agent will not be the friendliest but luckily that’s rarely the case. Can’t wait for your upcoming reviews👍
I can usually cope with legroom. But when I flew on the AA E175 from DCA to PNS I was physically in pain after 2 mins (even sitting upright, my knees were pressed against the seat in front) not good for a 2.5hr flight. I don’t know what I would’ve done if the flight was full (I had to move to have my own row, it was that bad)
I know right, Ran! The legroom was bad and the seats were so short that people's heads are way above the headrests. I flew Jetstar which is a low cost airline in Australia and i found the legroom there much more bigger! Thanks a lot for watching and have a lovely weekend :D

I'd go for Delta because it seems like Delta is flying wide body from Portland to Atlanta on a 767. Other airlines seem to fly tiny jets and can be uncomfortable. Thanks for watching haha
For this 3 hours flight, I'll say it is bad. The seat is not comfy and the food is not enough.I think AA shouldn't use this aircraft. Maybe A220-100 is better. A nice video! Excellent review (at always)!
