Great information, thanks for refreshing my mind about first class packaging...I hadn't done ebay in about 5 years, and i'm sure you know i'm floored by all the changes since then, but, oh, well ! I'm still going for it ! Thanks again !
It changed it's name to "USPS Ground Advantage"
Is first class is it same speed as ground ?
I learned a shit ton! Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining this! :)
Thanks for great intuitive illustration
Great information and clearly presented!!!
Thank you so much really appreciate the comment!

Thank you sir but I'm still a bit confused about whether free tracking comes with FCM in 2024. I don't think it does any more.
Great video. Does the First Class size restriction of 22x18x15 also apply to poly mailer bags?
Hi Terri,
Good question! It does, the thing that a lot of people fail to understand about poly mailers is due to their flexibility there shape can vary from the time of the packing process to the time it passes under a dimensioning system at a USPS or other carrier facility. It is important to keep these maximum dimensions in mind for your mailer not just if it is laying perfect on the table, but in any shape it could go down a conveyor in. Hope this helps!
Great video!!!
Thank you so much for watching glad you enjoyed the video!
Does a first class mail letter have to be made of paper or a polymailer can work too?
Thanks
Excellent
What about LATAM, Im waiting from two weeks ago and i don't have signals.
For international first class does it take 7-21 business days to ship?
When a foreign article reached in the country of destination at office of exchange, then the article (in case of registered article) is delivered according to the rule of which country (country of origin/ country of destination)
Plz reply
Just don't send anything illegal. Mostly narcotics.
Really helpful 😁
Glad it helped! Thank you for watching
I did not receive a tracking number on my usps first class mail. Its not on the receipt
So what am I doing with shipments that are larger than their largest priority box and heavier than 1 pound??
Isn't first class mail stamps ? How do I get tracking
Which country is responsible for the delivery of the article when the article is delivered to the office of exchange of the foreign country
This is an interesting question and one I wish I could better answer. I know that the rules and regulations involving shipping vary from country to country and the carriers that will deliver to each destination differ. Your best bet to get an accurate answer would be to contact the carrier you plan to use for your international shipment and ask them how things work for that particular country. Sorry I couldn't be more help but good luck!
So for USPS First Class, I need to buy my own box?
Yeah u need to use ur own box. U can’t use usps priority boxes.
Hi Jorge,
Alex is right here. You must provide your own packaging materials for First Class and cannot use the provided free priority supplies. Priority supplies can only be used in conjunction with a priority mail parcel. Good Luck!
@@Racklify thank you
@@Racklify Hello. Yes I'm new to this 1st class mailing thing. Can you send me a link to show me what a first class package mail looks like so I can get it? I think I have an I idea what it is but I want to be sure
Thanks for the nice explanation
What are the disadvantages and benefits?
first-class package international service ups
Hi Majeed,
I'm assuming you are referring to USPS First-Class Package International Service. The benefits of the service are mainly its affordability as well as its relatively quick transit times for a service of such affordable cost. It is also easy to understand from a pricing stand point and a great entry level international option for sellers.
The main draw back is that First Class international packages have a maximum weight limit of 4lbs or 64oz this makes it incompatible with most shipments. Also keep in mind it is a 7-21 day transit time although this is good value for what you pay it may not fit you or your customers needs and expectations. Finally please keep in mind that the carrier you are using is the US postal system. Although I person use this service some sellers will shy away from the post office as a carrier as UPS and Fedex generally are viewed more reliable service providers.
Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
@@Racklify Thank you so much

I can’t find first class on the usps website… I ship most stuff on eBay and it’s on there but directly on the website I’m not finding first class… please help
Here you go. Thank you for watching! www.usps.com/ship/first-class-mail.htm
Do u have to sign for usps first class mail?
Can I sell comic books with this? Through eBay?
Yes you can assuming the comic books weigh under 15.9 ounces!
HI!!!!! Im new to Ebay and just got my first order. Can I ship a 2.5 oz body spray first class? If so do I need to do anything specific? Im very confused .I watch tons of videos with contradicting answers.
You can ship a 2.5oz body spray first class, although it should be contained in something leak proof and packed with absorbent material. If your item contains aerosol or a flammable liquid you may apply a ground transport only sticker. Overall I would say do your best and don't sweat it too much. Hope this helps and good luck.
But am concerned will it till me when it reaches my post office
They should give you the tracking number by default so yes hopefully.
Hi Welch,
You usually receive the tracking number in an email after your product ships or you can often find it in your purchase history on your account depending on the retailer or marketplace. When you click on or search this number it will show you all steps of the logistics process where scanning occurs. This should tell you when it has been delivered. Thank you!
how can i tell if my package was delivered on the app
So usps first class is always tracked? Just wanna make sure
Hi Alexa,
Here is what the USPS FAQs say:
"Yes, if the mailpiece is an FCPS-R and FCPS-C item. USPS Tracking® is included at no charge for those items.
Although First-Class Mail postcards, letters, and flats are not eligible for USPS Tracking, those items are eligible for other extra services that provide barcodes for scanning. These extra services can be purchased, providing some tracking information."
You can find out more about First Class at: faq.usps.com/s/article/What-are-the-Types-of-First-Class-Mail
In summary packages and boxes yes, letter and flats not unless you pay for it
Cd and dvds can i use first class? Thanks.
Yes just make sure your items are packaged well.
Hi Victor as long as those cds or dvds are under 15.9oz you sure can! Also for extra savings look into media mail (although this increases transit time) Good Luck!
@@Racklify I'd be careful about using media mail. DVDs and Games are not considered Media Mail and can be subjected to random checking during transit. If found they will charge you the postage difference. (Although I have only used it once due to the post worker using it even though I asked her not to).
@@Racklify no don't go with media mail takes forever it took 1 month or two to finally arrive to me
@@bustergundo516 exactly plus media mail gets transferred by a ship 🚢 instead of an airplane ✈️ Lol
Dude can I send laptop from from usa to India through USPS in first class mail....???
Hi Sai, First class mail as I explained is only for domestic parcels up to 16oz. There is however and international first class mail service which if I remember correctly goes up to 4lbs so depending on the laptop it could work. This however is a much more costly service but still a good deal as far as international rates are concerned.
Great
Thank you so much for watching! hope you enjoyed the video
This is great info, thanks for sharing. But I am confused about one part. If I want to sell something on eBay, I wouldn't know where it is shipping to as you stated it is based on zones, then how do I predetermine my cost? Thanks.
I sell frequently on eBay. When the buyer buys your item it is automatically done for you based on the buyers location. You don’t choose any zones.
click and ship isn’t available online??
Click and ship is available online.
@@Racklify i think she meant first class isn't available online. My question is why is it 13 ounces first class and then some I see is 15.9 ounce I don't understand that part. They always mention 13 ounces in the post office for some reason and then say you guys get discounts online over 13 meaning 13-15.9 Maybe if you could clarify that because I am sure you have nothing better to do on your Friday night 😂😂😂😂
@@rdk162 From my understanding it has to do with flats vs parcels. You can only send a flat up to 13oz, but a parcel can be 15.9oz. Hope this helps. Also check out this resource I found on the specifics: www.stamps.com/usps/first-class-mail-classification-tool/
overplayed read down below. I figured it out. This goofball that made this video has no idea what he is talking about.

what is the solution
I’ll never use USPS again. I bought a $160 leatherman on eBay and USPS lost it and I didn’t get any compensation. They couldn’t care less
At this point first class and priority are a joke. Sent a package out on a Friday using priority mail. I sent a similar package out the next day using USPS ground. Both the same size package and weight and going to the same exact destination. I paid $12 for priority and $5 for the ground service. They both arrived that Tuesday. So I paid nearly three times the cost to have it delivered a day later than the cheaper one? That’s pathetic
Can I throw it in a mail or a blue box, or it has to be in the post office? Sry I’m a dumb teen
Hi Oni, you can throw small parcels or flats into a mailbox although the slot is quite small so what you can fit is very limited. Also makes sure your packages already have postage bought and applied. Good Luck!
@@Racklify alright! Thank you!
Way Too loud, last video was to quiet had turn sound up on headphones and when this one comes on it blasting hurt my ears. 👎
It’s an easy scam if you ship first class international. Because America doesn’t keep up with it once it’s out of the country. So anybody who’s working for the mail out of the country and knows how USPS works. They know If they see its “first class” they can simply keep the package because They know America isn’t gonna do anything about it. US PS should let their customers know this. My package disappeared in Mexico.
Good to know!
That true I think am scam too can't get my package
@@debbiansawyers6015 Hopefully it’s just delayed. Which can be a long wait with international shipping

Hi Numbersix, Ebay most likely would have sided with you had you made a claim I would recommend doing this in the future. I recommend to most business owners to insure all packages over $100 for this very reason as based on the data slightly less than 99% of all eCommerce parcels reach their destination. Ship enough packages and the carriers are sure to lose a few ship a few thousand a day and you could deal with 10s of lost packages every single day as a seller. Insurance is super important on high value or hard to replace items because of this. Sorry to hear about your bad experience
