Such a great video! It’s funny, I’m skipping a professional development class to finish watching this (and I have a presentation this morning so I’m also focusing on that). But you guys shared way more gems in this 1 hour video than I’ve ever received in that professional development course. Thank you so much for all the advice. I hope to use it for a career in fashion but more along the business side (helping businesses grow and strategic management is something I’m more interested in doing). Can’t wait for the next one!
My first step getting into Dior house - become a fashion in-house illustrator ✔️ Zoe thank you so much for your engagement and willing to share such an amazing sources!! Lots of love!
Thank you Zoe Hong for this fantastic interview! I must say how great the times we live are, to have access to an interview packed with so much important and relevant information is priceless, considering that few decades ago only if you knew people at a certain level none of us would be able to have access to hear and see things like this. Funny to also hear that no matter the creative field we are all in the main obstacle many of us battle with is mastering self promoting and getting out of our comfort zone.
I was once offered as an event illustrator by Coach (didn’t know it when agreed cause i was to exited) it was my first really money making experience as fashion illustrator and very stressful for me but really good money for what i enjoy doing 💔
Yes please, on the hearing from Yuri 😊. Still trying to navigate how to make meaningful connections and building connections without formal fashion school experience.
Thank you so much Zoe and Marcus😍! The information you shared was so helpful! I will be joining the fashion illustration patron this summer! So excited the community exists✍🏽
I really enjoyed this video, especially the part on having your own style & realism. Something that I have thought of a lot, in creating different poses/backgrounds and creating scenes. Lot's to reflect on and practice in my own work.
Hey hey Party Zoe, browsing my local art store I have seen so beautiful and deeply pigmented dry pastels but the only videos I have found is doll art which is not my thing. Pastels weren't my favorite, but when I went to fashion school I don't remember dry pastels, can you suggest some resources? Thanks!
Hello Hello! Hey there. I was a print designer for major retailers for 20 years. Now I am super stoked that my UA-cam channel will launch next month. My niche is kids and preteens fashion tutorials starting with easy illustrations. I already teach and it is quite the success. This interview is fabulous because kids want to know these things just as much as adults. At one point I will do an interview video down the road. If you have any tips or tricks for me as I go into this I would you mind? Im all your spare time (haha).
Hello Zoe! Thank you for this amazing interview. I was just wondering if you could talk about/ do one on career changes within the fashion industry. I am currently working as a machinist( have been since graduating a decade ago) and I would like to transition into something that is not in Production. Thank you very much once again!
The promotion on the social media used a lot by younger generation. I noticed that their knowledge is poor, and when a person load a video they have to be responsible for the quality of it. Not many ppl that posting /promoting via their work professionals therefore if knowledges are questionable better to investigate a subject throughly prior the camera on :) no everyone an expert like Zoe xxx
So excited to share this information with your audience!
I think your advice will really help a lot of people who are truly serious about this as a career! Thanks again for visiting the channel!
