You have it so easy! There was a communal bathroom down the hall, and communal showers as well. We were not allowed coffee makers, and microwaves were not available to ANYONE back then, having not yet been available to the public. Our rooms were okay, lots of storage space, but thi difference is, of course the passage of time, but also there is now an attention to privacy that was not occurring when I went there.
