I think of him as a game show host. I think my mom would think of him as an actor. She told me she saw Tattletales on Buzzr once, and immediately she thought of the movie "Semi-Tough."
All 3 of these couples divorced, ironically all sitting in order of divorce from left to right. Korman in '77, Anne and Bert in '91 and Joanne and Roger in 2000.
+Joshua Smith Yes, though Bert described himself as divorced at least once when he hosted Super Password in the 80s, Ann didn't give him a divorce, to marry his then-current gf, until he was dying in 1991. Roger Perry is now married to Joyce Bulifant, which makes me wonder if they're the only husband & wife to play against each other on Tattletales, since she played this game a few times back in the 70s when she was married to Ed Mallory, who was on Days of Our Lives for years.
@@cindyrafn3438 I wonder what happened to them. Bert seemed like a really nice guy. Anne on a previous episode gave a very crass answer about Bert's mother being in a house fire. Insecurities on her part maybe, because Bert was very handsome and had the "it" factor.
@@tasams Bert had a fondness for the ladies; Anne got the last laugh though when she wouldn’t formally divorce him until shortly before he died to marry his pretty young thing.
According to one source, Donna cheated on Harvey with one of the guest stars on "The Carol Burnett Show" when the show went to Australia. But I don't know for sure if that was the main cause or not, but it sounds like it could have been a factor.
Convy and his wife separated 13 years later entering a prolonged and bitter battle before 'the Mrs." finally relented granting Bert a divorce as his final wish so that he could die married to his new 25 year old concubine. He, indeed, succumbed from the brain tumor mere months after the betrothal and marriage .
Donna Ehlert died in July, 2021 at the age of 83. Here is her obituary. Donna Rae Shindell (née Ehlert) passed away peacefully at her Bucks County, Pennsylvania home on July 14, 2021 surrounded by her husband and daughters. Donna was born in 1938 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Raymond and Loretta (née Bertram) Ehlert. She moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1960 where she was a model, etiquette instructor, student, interior designer, storeowner and homemaker/party-giver extraordinaire. In 1986, she moved east and discovered the beauty and magic of Bucks County, which captured her heart. Except for a few years living in Baltimore, MD, she remained in her beloved Bucks County until her death. Donna was a woman of many talents, passions and loves. She cared deeply about justice and equality. Those of you who called her “friend” know that you were so much more than that to her. You were her family. Those of us lucky enough to have been her family also had in Donna a dear friend and confidant. She was loyal and devoted to us all, to the end. She also loved her books, dogs, travel, good food and wine, nature, her gardens and beauty of all kind. Donna has left us with memories of her own beauty and of the beauty she created around her. She wanted nothing more than peace and happiness for herself and for those she loved. Donna is survived by her husband of 21 years, Richard H. Shindell; her children Heidi Mueller Smith (Cotter), Maria Korman, Christopher Korman (Patricia); her step-children George DiCenzo Riedel (Suzanne), Richard W. Shindell (Lila), Scott Shindell (Janet), Caroline Shindell (Christopher) and Colburn Shindell (Deborah); her grandchildren: Brianne, Christopher, Evan, Madeline, Ethan, Noah, Scott, Megan, Sarah, Maddy, Sam, Ana, Martin, Rudolph, Nathaniel, August, Lucia and Mac, as well as her sister, Audrey Mazur. Donna was preceded in death by her brothers: Russell Ehlert and Dean Ehlert, as well as her former husbands, Harvey Korman and George DiCenzo. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in Donna’s name to: A Woman’s Place 1281 Almshouse Rd, Doylestown, PA 18901. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at a later time. Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, Doylestown.
+crystalheart9 Crystal : You are correct... Roger Perry played Air Force pilot Capt. John Christopher in the January 1967 Star Trek episode "Tomorrow Is Yesterday". All the BEST...Dan.
Joyce's memoir was very interesting. She talked a lot about her life in Hollywood and her three Hollywood husband's. Her first marriage to James MacArthur, was very interesting. He was the spoiled son of the great Broadway actress and her writer husband. Great book.
Harvey was kind of an asshole off camera carol almost fired Harvey over the way he treated guests. She told Harvey that he could be as rude to her as he wanted, but if he was ever rude to a guest again she'd show him the door
Listen to how the question is worded guys. Most women, unless they're extremely vain, don't think of themselves as sexy. Attractive, maybe pretty, but not sexy. That's our job as men to feel that way about them.
I love Bert a lot but I notice he really has trouble giving an answer and it is kind of annoying how he always asks his section what to say and then says OK but if it's wrong it's on you guys. Grr... I wish he could have made more of these decisions himself without hemming and hawing and having so much trouble giving his own amswer. Decisive he is not, but I will still always think he was awesome.
Bert was only in his late 50's when he passed away. They divorced a year before his death. Joann is still around at 80 but was married almost 30 years before they divorced. I wonder did this show ever have gays on here?
I loved the 70's.the show was boring back then as well and the new Lets Make a Deal is boring as well. The old one was fun. No one can do it like Monty. LOL!
Cheap yeah. But I did not think it was boring. Agree at times dragged out which is annoying. I like seeing these old stARS. THAT IS A LOT OF THE appeal for me.
Memories of my sick days from school 🙂. Love these!
Yep, when you were sick it was morning game shows before the dreaded soap operas came on
Love it 💕

I want to go back to this time so badly!
Great music and television. Loved the 70s

Not alone. If we could go back then with what we know now it would be heaven

I love watching tattletales and wish the buzzer channel would bring it back
Really enjoying these. Thanks so much!!
Jo Anne Worley has the best laugh!
I heard she did opera.
I'm enjoying this show thanks:D
Those giant headphones are so funny
Nice change to have Bert Convy as a player this time in the game show.
Yea it is.
Harvey at 18:02: "Oh, she said she was blond?" lol
I love the theme song.
Gene was a great host!!
He was excellent on this!!
Yes!
The show sometimes used match game type of questions when Gene hosted.
Gene is real comedy
RIP ROGER PERRY.
I'd like to see how this show would play out with some of today's kooky celebrity couples
Alison Topalian There would be no class involved whatsoever!!!
Would you happen to have the other tattletales/match games with Harvey Korman? Thanks :)

I wish someone had the previous episode. The "axe thing" has got me curious, and it's gonna drive me out of my skull!

Gene Rayburn was an amazing host! I regularly watched Matchgame too!
the best people on this show look up as if they are seeing their significant other above them on the monitor ala brady bunch

All three couples divorced.
The audience went home with like 8 bucks each.
Probably more than the bums came in with.

I didn't know he was an actor. Only know him from hosting this show.
He was an excellent actor, stage, film, TV

200 people divided $1600 equals $8 per person. That's $34 in today's money.
The money went further back then.
They certainly could have gone a little better in the money department!

Roger screwed up cheated on JoAnne. Why Roger why
Burt Convoy had a pretty wife.
How many different game shows was Jo Anne Worley on?
A lot.
The most beautiful women on tattletales in my opinion were
1. Cynthia Hayward
2. Marcy Lafferty
3. Ann Cullen
4. Anne Convy
There were many other pretty women. But maybe you are referring to the women spouses of celebs.
Also Mary Ann Mobley and Joan Collins and Meredith MacRae
