Kentucky used to vote for democrats all the time a long time ago. The state is more conservative now, but they still do occasionally for democrats on a statewide level. Not really surprised he got reelected he is the most popular governor in the nation.
Daniel Cameron actually won more counties in KY than Beshear did. Beshear picked up some votes from some people affected by the floods in eastern KY (my guess). But if it wasn't for the Louisville and Lexington areas, he probably would not have won. Louisville has a whole bunch of black people who usually vote for democrats and. both areas probably are filled up with a bunch of liberals, some of which are probably not original Kentuckians. Kentucky did vote for democrats for many years until the democrats became more and more liberal while the bible belt rural people did not.
I haven't even watched this speech yet. I will tell you that if we lose him here, I will probably cry real tears. I've already shed a couple thinking about it, but he has my vote anywhere he goes. He is a great man.

I also live in southern indiana and i listened to his covid briefings every night on public radio on my hour drive home from a therapy job in a nursing home. He gave me hope, encouragement, and critical information during the hell that was covid. I love Andy Beshear❤
I voted for Beshear and I saw him do those COVID briefings week after week and I felt someone cared. No one knew anything about COVID and it calmed us knowing he was watching out for us citizens here. I appreciate what he did even with opposition from his naysayers.
