When Seth was talking about the pressure Neuer was under to save the Drogba penalty, it was also important to remember that two seasons prior, Bayern lost 2-0 against Inter in the Final. The biggest club in Germany doesn't sit well with losing two Finals in three seasons.
The 2005 CL final deserves a deep rewind and you should also do one on Troy Deeney's last minute goal against Leicester in the semi-finals of the Championship Play-offs in 2013

Drogba Legend. I still get chills, and maybe even tears, every time I see that glorious header and that wonderful penalty. Chelsea, champions of Europe twice now, both when no one thought we could possibly win.
Atletico Madrid winning the league on the last gameday in 2014. That was pretty emotional given the what happened to the club in the late 90s and early 2000s.
Since we are on the topic of the Champions League, I'd love to see Sergio Ramos extra time header against Atletico in the 2014 final. That was one of the greatest moments for me as a Real Madrid fan
I love, love, love these deep-dives. They're always great, and perhaps this is simply recency bias, but it has to be said that this particular video's editing, was stellar.
Fernando Torres DID play his part in THAT final. people only remember the goal at Camp Nou, but the corner in which Drogba heads the equalising goal was Torres' work.
I really appreciate SB doing a Rewinder video on this CL final and football in general. I really think Seth and SB did a nice job on a lot of the video (great storytelling of the final, terminology was spot on), but feel like there were quite a few missed opportunities. Much for the context of the Napoli fixture (the 2nd leg was RDMs first CL match and he had to overturn a 2 goal deficit) and the Barcelona fixture (Ramires’s chip, history of 2009 semi final) was omitted or glossed over in this video but played a big part in what makes this CL run so special for Chelsea. And not sure if this is a copyright issue but can’t believe a clip of the “DROGBAAAAA” call by Martin Tyler wasn’t included. Anyways, that’s just my 2c. I’m sure with video length restrictions and other things, the team has to make tough decisions on prioritization. Hope to see more football and CL videos in the future!
One if not the one of the most satisfying sporting moments of my life. Watching the whole season painfully and the Semi finals vs Barca and Rollercoaster of that game then this going down 1:0 and that corner kick, I was praying for Drogba header and then the greatest header the bullet the missile gave me believe as they where saying it was written in the stars even that penalty I knew Chelsea was going to win it and then Drogba came I was already celebrating and when he scored the idol was born in my life where I never he'd one. It was written in the stars that moment he'd to come after so many heart breaking moments before like that night against Barsa Iniesta and all of those was forgotten just because of that greatest bullet header by your own Didier Drogba the greatest true #9 world has ever seen. Thank you Didier Drogba it gives me so much pleasure and smile on my face whenever I see or think about it. A true #9 never will anyone come close to been perfect as he was Thank you Didier#9
This was probably the best build up to a single moment you've done yet. You had me dying to see him nail that penalty perfectly and I'm a Man City fan.

Drogba Legend. I still get chills, and maybe even tears, every time I see that glorious header and that wonderful penalty. Chelsea, champions of Europe twice now, both when no one thought we could possibly win.
This cemented Drogba's legacy as the team's best ever big game player
I’ve been waiting for this one! Thank you so much :D
Atletico Madrid winning the league on the last gameday in 2014. That was pretty emotional given the what happened to the club in the late 90s and early 2000s.
And they did it again tonight haha
@@willyrava967 Yeah, I saw it. Very happy, it's been so long.
Thanks for the wonderfull exciting way you did the cutting and editing of this documentary.
Man i was screaming so much my throat was hurting the next day but what a win that was💙💙💙💙

so happy that you guys are covering football! longtime fan and always thought that there are so many moments worth covering!
The greatest moment in Chelsea history.
One of the greatest moments in champions league history.
This moment still gets my eyes wet.
Thanks for this.
Iconic player iconic performance. DROGBA LEGEND
"Chelsea hung back..." You just described about 15 years of Chelsea football in that statement.
This is so great! I've been wanting to see this moment since the first time I watched a rewinder, Thank you!
Finally a futbol rewinder! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
La Decima 92th min goal by Sergio Ramos next please

Thanks for finally making a Secret Base about football! There are endless stories worth to rewind.
Who’s here after Chelsea beat Man City in the UCL final 🔥
I have been asking for this episode for months now... my faith has been restored knowing y’all read it😂
You need to do Liverpool v Milan from the 2005 final.
only if they do the rematch in Athens two years later too
Drogba is the man who made me fall in love with football. My hero forever. UTC, best champions league win ever
Since we are on the topic of the Champions League, I'd love to see Sergio Ramos extra time header against Atletico in the 2014 final. That was one of the greatest moments for me as a Real Madrid fan
This 🔥🔥🔥

One of the greatest moments in the history of the competition
I love, love, love these deep-dives. They're always great, and perhaps this is simply recency bias, but it has to be said that this particular video's editing, was stellar.
Here after Chelsea winning the Champions League again in 2021!?! 🏆💙💙
Fernando Torres DID play his part in THAT final.
people only remember the goal at Camp Nou, but the corner in which Drogba heads the equalising goal was Torres' work.
Considering exactly what the goal meant, and everything that was on the line.... That was one of the most relaxed penalties
As a chelsea fan i was 12 when that happenend & even after 9 years I still scream every time after that kick by king 👑 Drogba 💙
This comment is so underrated.
dunno how i missed this when it came out, but wow made me so nostalgic! brilliant work, i truly love this channel. thank you :)
Omg thank u for posting this #COYB 🔵🔵🔵

Euro 2000 final was the best match I ve ever experienced, it deserves a rewind!!!
Just to translate for the European viewers
"Kick taker" = "Penalty taker"
"Head bang" = "Header"
"Backfield" = "Defence"
Soccer = Football
Premeer league = Premier league
Hotel = Trivago
_facepalm_ ... He knows what a header is. It was a deliberate play on words. Like metal headbanging.
Sergi Roberto’s last minute goal against PSG would make a great episode

Ya or Iniesta against the Netherlands
Nah, that game was one of the most despicable examples of bad refereeing.
Speechless , just loved living through it and loved watching this as a fan of both.
Who’s here after Chelsea won the champions league final against man city?
This was probably the best build up to a single moment you've done yet. You had me dying to see him nail that penalty perfectly and I'm a Man City fan.
No one will ever forget the "HES DONE ITTTTTTTTT!!!!"
The greatest night in the history of Chelsea Football Club!
I'm a very casual soccer fan so these videos are a Godsend to understanding the game's history
Istanbul 2005 deserved a deep rewind...
Amen!!
love that you introduce amazing moments from the champions league too, you guys are the real deal, I'll wait the header of Ramos in La Décima.... lml
I don't know if it's just that much harder to play actual clips from the matches, but you really should have shown Torres goal with commentary. Legendary moment.
Thank you for this guys.
Who's here after Chelsea won Champions League again?!
Totally love this video, please more champions league/football/soccer moments in history.
