After many ups and downs and blunt disrespect from a situation ship that should have never happened in the first placed if I had just listened to God and checked out after the first red flag, I’m finally ready to move on and accept the fact that just because I want him doesn’t mean that I need him . It’s been 2 months since I have just come out of a 17 year relationship. My ex moved on after a month of us breaking up and has now moved in with his new gf. Whereas I have been focusing on both my inner and outer self for my betterment. I realised I wasn’t going to get over him if I were to move on to someone new. Plus I spent more than half my life with that person so I needed fo find ME in this moving on process. I have been in my feels and I embraced it to fully understand what I’m going through. I’m happy to say that it is working and I’m glad I focused on myself. I also vlogged my journey in hopes that I can help others who may be going through the same thing. I can’t wait to share my journey soon on my channel☺️

I used to be that person in the first question when I first graduated college. I think part of that just comes with time and becoming more comfortable in your own skin. And I did that by actually putting myself in uncomfortable situations.

"I don't appreciate being spoken to/ treated like that", I have recently learned how to say this. Before I would just keep things bottled in and feel frustrated from being hurt. Nothing gets solved from pretending to be fine, sometimes I can fix things and sometimes nothing will change. However, I realised that for my sake I have to let it out to find peace :)

you both look so stunning!! i need to know where courtney got these earrings from! this episode helped me so much (getting ready to dm a dilemma after i send this comment actually 😅) as i prepare to work out of a situationship. having a solid support system is so key when it comes to combating loneliness, especially a faith-based one. i’ve struggled with social anxiety since college and i always make it a point to step out of my comfort zone by going outside, hanging out with friends, making new ones, and even going on solo dates! those solo dates really allow me to practice my love language on myself. and i LOVE the point y’all made about generosity!! one of my top love languages is receiving gifts and generosity a muscle i’ve been stretching with my loved ones and even strangers lately so it makes me that much more appreciative when someone does that for me.
and yessss avoid that rebound at all cost! don’t bleed on an innocent man, for the love of God we need to heal first 😩

In society we are taught as women to always settle. "You want a rich man, well rich men are abusive and cheaters" "You want a man with a car. Well do you even drive". I do not belive knowing what you need in a relationship is arrogant, i believe for some it comes from a place of experience and understanding what they will know longer settle for. In saying I require peace in my relationship is not being arrogant but is putting my wellness first. As you said in order to recieve peace you must also invest peace. Having a "Type/Standards/Requirements/list" Is needed in such a society where the bar has been burnt to flames in hell. Women are required to bring a lot to the table, i mean look at what has come to light in terms of pregnancy and child birth. Alot is required from women and likewise women should also require a lot from their partners. All in all as the ladies said only you can determine what is best for you. Social media is a facade and in real life it is you that will wake up and go to sleep with your partner. The best thing to ask for in all kinds of relationship is peace in my opinion.
