Perfectly explained everyone wants that nice brand Noone is paying attention to reliability and low mid range power I like my power from band low to high
What about another factor… scalloping rotors? Not a ton of videos explaining them and how they also effect porting pros/cons. Thanks for the videos! 👏🏽
When we tested it at Mazdatrix dyno there was no gain in back to back tests. Maybe I can do a video talking about what we tested and learned. This was just our testing. if someone has confirmed gains in back to back tests I'd love to see it but our testing showed there was no power gain. That might be why there isn't a lot of information, because it works only in theory but in application the gains don't happen. Our testing was done on 1989 NA motors. Fyi.
If you were to pick a 13B motor to turbo what would you pick? I was looking at a 4 port from a 2005 RX8. I'm newer to the rotary world and just trying to get all my ducks in a row before I purchase anything.
What's your opinion on reprogramming the factory ecu with the likes of versa tube or Mazda edit on a naturally aspirated rx8 6 port I can't figure out what I might lose in sticking with the stock unit. Thanks, love the channel keep it up
Odd question, would opening up / making the combustion cavity on the rotors surface a bit deeper / wider / longer increase torque? Am I wrong to think that it could let you flow (slightly) more air+fuel that would keep the overall pressure the same while potentially increasing hp+torque a small amount?
The combustion pocket is responsible for rotor compression ratio, When the pocket gets deeper the compression drops. Less compression equals less horsepower and torque.
Hey Kyle I got a 2004 RX-8 as a project car for about 2k in decent condition except the engine is suffering from low compression sadly and now I think I have to get a whole new engine which is sad since I wanted to try and take it to the track soon Any advice for someone like me?
Perfect timing, I was looking for a video like this cuz I’m building a 4 port renesis for a school project. Want some brat bran bran sound
Great content from someone who knows what he's talking about 🤙
thanks for watching and commenting
Great talk 🔥🔥

Best street porting template for s4 t2? Love your content
yep, use the KMR Turbo Half Bridge but don't cut the bridge. It what I run on my Formula D car.
opinions of street port center glse se irons for 4 port hybrid

@@KyleMohanRacing would compensating by adding more fuel and air end up with the same power?
Thin iron s4

so a s4 na would benefit from a street port and you dont need to mess with upgrading the ecu?
Yep, I recommend the Mazdatrix template
@@KyleMohanRacing thank you ill buy it when i get paid
What about a street port with semi pp on a 13b six port
semi pp, 6500-10500 rpm power band. maybe higher. basically, a race motor. All depends on your goals.

Do you drive a rotary on the street?
Yep, currently a street port RX8. Have owned many rotaries
how about you, do you have any rotary cars?
@@KyleMohanRacing I bought an R8 as a toy last fall. It's buried in in snow now.
What kind of power and mpg you getting with your daily street ported rx8?
don't know, but it's fun to drive. Fun Per Mile
