It's super nice that your neighborhood doesn't have telephone poles and overhead wires. My street does but the blocks behind me do not. Cleans up the curb appeal and great for flying lol. Thanks Nick.
Great to have another option! Really LOVE that this has 5V out like the Eachine Nano because many 2s AIO FCs have only a single 5V pad or two at best. That makes powering the cam and Rx that much easier.

i think it can be a great idea about how to manage the external vtx and rx in toothpick or micro quad how to secure these external part in such a small space will it interference if all the part being press together will it cause short,how to prevent it canopy option and others it would be very helpful for the and can generate idea and solution in the this community

goggles are the same as I have been using for the last two years. Orqa goggles with rapidfire and 1 truerc and 1 axii antenna. Quad has a linear antenna on it.
From memory, the Eachine nano VTX seemed to have a better signal quality when you were flying closer. Correct? Plus, it's half the price! I got some because you liked them so much, but have yet to put them in a build. I need to do that! This Foxeer VTX looks good in it's consistency, but it does have fuzz the entire time, even when you are very close to where you are flying. Hmmm.... I wouldn't mind see it on another quad that, let's say, uses an XM+ receiver. Just to see if it was something on that quad giving all that fuzz. You'd think it would be clear sometime, if it wasn't getting fuzz from the other components on that quad?! 🤔🥴 Thanks Nick! 😎🤘

I would check the packing contents, but often on these boards when they don't have connectors on them, they will include them. Exception being the new flywoo goku board. But if we can get a current image of the board if the solder pads have tiny little holes they will very likely include connectors with the board.
I have mixed results with nano. Probably because of damage/burnout. My best/go-to is the eachineNano 400mw. But 1 died :( Also tried: NamelssRC 400mw. Goku625, FE200T, HGLRC 350mw Bought couple PandaRC 5804air. Supposed to be really good. What are your recommendations NIck?
I haven't tried all of those. I have used the eachine nano a number of times, I though the hglrc 350mw slightly under performed, the tiny tank is pretty good. The namelessrc I thought really under performed. I would suggest trying the TBS unify pro32 nano, while I haven't tried one I have been told its very good. Although I find the tbs vtx a pain to unlock the higher power.

well, the build in this video wasn't so much a targeted build rather just building for fun with parts on hand. The 20amp esc isn't needed with the 1103 motors, which are different from the 1102 motors on the starlord.
Likely best for a 2s whoop but if we have a 1s 65mm and we need the vtx mw it is an option but not for racing. That gram can mean a lot on a 20gram racing whoop
cul-de-sac? is that french? In Catalan that would mean the bottom of the sack. Very impressing penetration for a tiny transmitter. Noise filtering could be better (eachine nano v1 has excelent filtering).
@@motome8 We need to look for a wire map of the board, we can often find these on the manufactures website. We would need to located 5v, ground, video out and a tx pad to solder the wires from the vtx to.
Nearly forgot how lucky I am to fly DJI - you seem quite pleased with the signal but it doesn't look that good to me! Shows how quickly I got used to digital I guess! That said, I did order some ELRS gear!

Some pretty nice overall performance! I've been debating whether to spend the money on an elrs setup. I would need a new transmitter and module (unless I hack up my flysky transmitter). It all depends on what comes in stock first on rdq, the aio elrs 1s board or the crazybee f4 lite flysky version lol. Great video nick! I was waiting for the landing though and it never came! :(
Yeah, you'll find you do need another transmitter because Flysky just doesn't have the range and performance of other protocols. Lots of testing been done on that radio in the past years, so don't take me word for it, tests available on UA-cam. An ok beginner radio but seems like no one stays with Flysky after they've got some experience. Radiomaster TX16S would be my choice.
@@KOrnhOliO1 I was thinking tx12 as a more budget option. I don't think I'm ready yet to drop 200+ on a transmitter just yet. But yeah I've been feeling the range issue. I recently flashed bf 4.2.9 and was doing some test flights and had under 30rssi when I went to the front yard from the back. I could make it to the end of the yard next to me (on good terms with the neighbors) but as soon as the garage was in the way rssi went from like 40 to 20 and lower. On my mobula 6 though I get very good range or at least from what I've been flying. It's on 3.5.7 though and I've heard 3.5.7 is better with spi receivers. But honestly using my 2.5in and practicing dives on my chimney, the flysky reciever just about gets the job done
That's really strange the way the signal is terrible right next to you but then it's great when you're on the other side of your house out on the street or even when you're a couple of houses away. Not sure if it's the youtube compression or what but I'm plenty familiar with your flying videos and overall this vtx video feed looks awful to me by comparison. The TBS unify pro/pro32 nano are mostly what I have been using for analog micros and 5" racing quads and they've been very good and have a super clean signal. One of the best values for analog VTXs is still the eachine VTX03S, but it's a little larger than the nano VTXs and isn't great for racing quads because it doesn't have the clean power-up feature that the TBS VTXs have, so it blasts signal across all frequencies when powering it on, and at a race event that's not cool when people are flying.
I'd love to see who makes who,, I run Akk vtx on most of my stuff, some have the rush vtx also, but they're the same right down to the chips. so who makes who?I'm ordering 3 of these reapers to save .5gms . I'd throw bird seeds down where you see the bugs, who knows maybe you'll get the birds to eat them.For non edible plants you can get horticulture oil and peppermint oil, 4 capfulls of H/o and 6 drops of peppermint to a gallon of water. spray everywhere on the ground and you'll reduce their population along with nats,mosquitos and white moths.Spray a few hrs earlier in the area where you want to sit outside at night. you can switch out the H/o for green wash for edible plants, but spray when no direct sunlight is on them ,then hose them down.
i am still amazed how pilots can even keep a qwad in the air with that much flickering, colour and resolution loss. I've tried analog once on my scary 5inch and it was embarrassing considering my level of sim practice. been LOS and sim ever since, i think ill get sharkbyte on a lighter 4inch before i go into the goggles again.
Back when I started it was even worse. The receivers we use in goggles today are so much better, and the vtx can output far more power than a few years ago. :)
The brick facade has an iron mesh behind it. This acts as the structural anchor in the mortar, and also as a faraday cage in the wall. So it’s not the brick per se, that causes interference. 🤓
Thanks for your reviews Nick! Why on earth is BG so much more expensive these days? Really sucks for us international customers. I remember a time where BG was about 10% less, now it's typically 20-30% more expensive than US suppliers. Weird times.
Yea, I can't answer why that is. They did give me a coupon for 8% off, almost like they know its become more expensive. I will be putting that coupon next to the BG links until the end of the year.
They've been more expensive for about 6 months, maybe a little longer. I used to buy all the time from them when they were easy less expensive and I needed several things, but weren't in a super hurry to get it. I think it all has to do with the tariffs and t-RUMP wanting to tax everything coming in from China. It started out with Banggood kinda absorbing most of the increases. Then they were about the same price as RDQ, Pyrodrone, GetFPV, etc. Now I think the chip shortages and the general raising of prices, even though the product doesn't use chips that have a shortage. Companies seem to take advantage of these general price increases even though their products may not have needed to have their prices increased because their costs increased. It's a shame EVERYTHING seems to have to go up and not the actual items that had their costs increase. Now Banggood is simply not competitive with USA local stores. Way higher on everything. I don't even price shop them anymore! I haven't bought from them for a long time. Course, when I first decided I was going DJI digital, I made myself not buy ANYTHING analog that cost very much, because I have so many analog quads and so many parts. Many don't get flown nearly as often any more. I've kinda adopted the theory of "fly what ya got" and don't buy any new quads or parts if you've got that part on some quad I hardly ever fly. Just rob it off that quad and onto the new one it goes. lol 😎🤘
An rf meter will give us the power output. They are hard to get a hold of right now. Try different antenna, also penetration is very dependent on environment and interference. Try flying raceband 8, that frequency is above wifi which could help some.

@@changeagent228 yeah, and when Diatone starting sticking those in their quads I found I had to remove a couple because they're give funky performance so close to all of the other components. I was disappointed in the amount of fuzz they were giving me. I'll have to pull those out of my drawer and use them in something that has some space to isolate it.
@@KOrnhOliO1 Yeah they get way too toasty to sandwich in. Not had any issues with fuzz I only have image issues when I don't use at least 470uF low ESR capacitors or I place my crossfire antenna too close to my VTX antenna.
I have used the eachine a number of times, the obstruction (behind the houses) isn't as good as this, but yes the eachine does have better clairity when in LOS.

yep. I tend to power my camera from the vtx as well. Makes the building easier and get some additional filtering.

That’s really exciting! Living in a stone house, vtx range is always the Achilles heel for my tinywhoop flights.
The Reaper vtx & LRS would make a killer combo for a surface vehicle. Much simpler than 9.15 MHz.

I use double sided foam tape and sometime heatshrink to keep the components from touching and shorting.

I know even the Unify Pro32 Nano plus an Crossfire receiver, I got interference without moving the VTX away from the crossfire receiver.

I have a number of the eachine running. Hard to beat at the price but I have had two that either didn’t work at all or the SA didn’t work

I can't believe how small these are getting. Is this small and light enough to mount in a whoop class? Measure a 2s like a mob 7 or its it too heavy?

There are options when we build to have an AIO without vtx. Or if the vtx on an AIO were to die we could add this rather than replace the AIO.

It's a pity that it depends on an input voltage of 5V which means it can't be connected directly to a 1S or 2S lipo.
That input voltage is a limitation

Sure Dji has great range and clarity but not so weigh friendly..especially for micros

oh the end of the flight. I think the flight ran another 2+ minutes. Pretty much everything we had seen in all the "laps" I was doing :)

Wanted to use it for my racing 5inch but it's not legal yet (we only have a few legal companies for vtx's in racing)

I understand the legality of running 25mw, but testing 25mw isn't something done much anymore.

@@NickBurnsFPV Great.👍🏻 TBS claims 500mW+ but unless you are flying in ice cold air they heat up and you won't exceed that for long.
@@changeagent228 yeah, and when Diatone starting sticking those in their quads I found I had to remove a couple because they're give funky performance so close to all of the other components. I was disappointed in the amount of fuzz they were giving me. I'll have to pull those out of my drawer and use them in something that has some space to isolate it.
@@KOrnhOliO1 Yeah they get way too toasty to sandwich in. Not had any issues with fuzz I only have image issues when I don't use at least 470uF low ESR capacitors or I place my crossfire antenna too close to my VTX antenna.
Not as good as the Eachine Nick, which produces has a much cleaner IMO. Succinct review tho Sir👍
I have used the eachine a number of times, the obstruction (behind the houses) isn't as good as this, but yes the eachine does have better clairity when in LOS.

I often turn to the eachine nano vtx, its dirt cheap, been around awhile and 400mw.

I do want to test one of those. They seem to be pretty rare right now.
