Spoilers are implied, but there was no way I could talk about my feelings without talking about everything about these shows that I adore, so I’m sorry about that.
Also, it should be obvious but the reason the video has ads is because it got claimed, so I’m not making any money off of this. There’s a reason I don’t even have the patreon links on this video either.

I wish I could offer support.. This is one of the companies that I wish had done work for titles like Rokka no Yuusha which end up being left either unfinished or forgotten and I feel they could have really done an even more amazing job with this one than the studio that had produced the anime adaptation. They have done a lot of good work and it’s terrible that someone would do this. I can only hope they’ll be able to pull together a forge ahead once again in this world full of corruption. It isn’t just the anime industry that needs a company like this, but the entire world in general. There have already been a number of companies that have fallen to pieces and either wind up wasting away into nothing or transform into something completely different from what they once were. It is the kind of company that a lot of aspiring authors, animators, and voice actors want to be part of. I can only wish the survivors and the families of the victims well and that actions will finally be taken to prevent any future dangers and to better protect those who really need it. I had heard the man suspected of this had been reported to the police by his neighbors only for him to be ‘warned’ with no further action taken. Something should have been done..

I think the craziest thing is that it happened to Kyoto Animation. There are a lot of animtaion studios that create controversial content or have headline after headline of poor working conditions ending in suicide (looking at you A1 pictures). The burned building is Studio 1, the main production line. Kyoto Animation still has Studio 2 (the main office), Studio 5 (KyoAni & Do), merchandise store (which handle sales) and Kyoto Animation school (future animator training academy). What I'm saying is, they can rise again, they are not totally destroyed. Of course the loss are not completely replaceable, but at least they are not devastated beyond means.
Kyoto Animation is a respected company among anime industry, and I'm sure the industry will not let them alone. We may be worried about their future, but with a lot of their infrastructure and staff still intact, our puny help can alleviate a bit of their problem. What they need the most is our moral and financial support, because with a lot of casualty, some of them may not be able to draw ever again. Quit disliking videos that are heartfelt and are trying to help both the victims and the people who are inadvertently affected by this.

"Palm of the Tiny Hand" (Dango for most people) rips my heart out every time I hear it. I lost me fiancee and unborn daughter to a drunk driver in Yokohama back in 2013. I watched Clannad and Clannad After Story just a few months later. The impact was overwhelming to say the least. I watched every anime that KyoAni put out and loved all of them. I'm even a little into Haruhiism! lol. But seriously, the day this happened I kinda went numb and still am. We lost some real talent that day. I hope they honor them by continuing to create the anime we love.

I've been a fan since a new little anime studio - Kyoto animation, gave us Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu way back in 2003... I've always been interested in the industry side of anime, but 2003 was the first time i saw the KyoAni name.. Then it was cemented in my mind as a top tier studio with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Kanon, Lucky Star and Clannad the following years. But the moment they became the BEST anime studio in the world for me was the time from K-On!/Nichijou/Hyouka/Chunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai!/Tamako Market, right up until until the end of Kyokai no Kanata (Beyond the Boundary). It was like slowly falling in love with all the memories I'd made experiencing their work, and amazing art and storytelling, characters and sound design.. God I hope the people who survived and were affected by the tragedy - INCLUDING everyone not associated with KyoAni - heal and feel the love from all us millions of fans worldwide... I don't know if we will see more of their work after this, but I pray they carry on making the world a beautiful place to be through their craft. I love these people I've never met so damn much. Thank you KyoAni.

Its been 2 months since the incident, but I gotta say that kyoto animations makes one of the most heart touching anime's out there. The only anime that has ever made me cry was Clannad because of how I related to some of the characters and how the problems they faced were the same as me. It made me reflect on myself and the issues I've dealt with the past few years and I can say that no one will ever beat kyoto animations. Same goes with a silent voice. I didn't cry, but I felt the emotion between the characters and the tone of their voices. Violet ever garden was an anime I never got to watch, but wanted to see so bad, and also saw small clips of it. The hard work they put through in the productions of them, from the voice acting, and animations, to the small details that hold deep meaning. It upsets me at how anyone could do this to a studio that has made one of the most classic anime's out there. My prayers are out there to the family and the victims who have lost their lives in a fire that could've been prevented.

I remember when Fumoffu was new. I was a cynical fan of many years, at that point, and it revived my flagging interest, providing the little boost that was needed to keep myself on the journey with what can be, at times, a frustrating form of entertainment. But one that I had chosen because it was not only different (to everything else on offer) but also that it resonated with me from a fairly early age.
There are.... just no words I can use, to describe what I'm feeling now, other than "gutted", and I'm not even sure I've truly managed to take in these events, yet.

What you felt about Yuuta and Rikka in Chuunibyou was me when Kyon had to choose between the normalcy he offhandedly remarked as what should be...and the bizarre goofy childlike adventures he actually wanted. His decision at the end of Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya I attribute to being THE reason I’ve stuck with anime to this day, and it wouldn’t have happened if Kyoani didn’t put so much work that even thru a lowres camrip I could feel that power slide over me. For that and so much more, I’ll be thankful of Kyoani.
